Top 30 Most Hilarious MCU Moments.!

That sounds like a fun list! The MCU is full of hilarious moments. I think one of the funniest scenes is the "Get Help" routine from "Thor: Ragnarok." What about you? Any favorite funny moments from the MCU?
Transcript
00:00Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most side-splitting
00:08jokes, running gags, and scenes in the MCU.
00:18Number 30
00:19On Your Left, Captain America The Winter Soldier
00:22Captain America The Winter Soldier was one of the darkest films in the first two phases
00:26of the MCU.
00:27Despite its heavy tone, the Russo-brother-directed film still had a few funny bits that we could
00:31never forget.
00:32In the first few moments of the movie, our favorite super-soldier, Steven, is going out
00:36for a jog.
00:37When he races by Sam Wilson, Cap tells him to look sharp with three classic words.
00:47The phrase only gets funnier every time Steve outshines the Air Force vet.
00:50Cap would even throw the phrase out while hospitalized, not to be outdone.
00:54Sam threw On Your Left right out when he returned from being blipped.

01:06Squidward, Avengers Infinity War
01:09Tony Stark's talent for delivering great quips and well-timed burns was at full display
01:13during Infinity War.
01:14We loved the impromptu wedding invitation he gave to Wong and his plea for the Hulk's
01:18help.
01:19And while we could have picked virtually anything Tony said to the Guardians, we think that
01:25one of his earliest jokes reigned supreme.
01:28When Ebony Maw arrives on Earth, he delivers an intimidating monologue.
01:31Tony proves he's not intimidated by the Child of Thanos by delivering a Nickelodeon-themed
01:35insult.
01:36While we're positive that Ebony Maw didn't get the reference, we loved the cartoonish
01:46burn.

01:49Avengers Endgame
01:56When the size-changing hero was officially invited to join the Avengers, he had to quickly
02:00adjust to a team full of aliens and enhanced humans.
02:03One of the best scenes to depict his growing pains occurred on the team's base.
02:07Just as Scott is about to enjoy lunch outside, Nebula and Rocket arrive in their ship.
02:11The intense wind produced by their landing is strong enough to knock out all of his taco
02:15fillings.
02:16While Scott looked like he could at least enjoy the shell, that dream shattered when
02:19Rhodey landed next to him.
02:24The revelation that Scott was in the Avengers' landing zone the whole time made the scene
02:28even funnier.
02:29Thankfully, Hulk was there with a couple of extra tacos and a friendly face.

02:34Rocket's Obsession with Prosthetic Limbs
02:36Guardians of the Galaxy
02:37Shortly after Rocket was introduced, it became clear that he had a twisted sense of humor.
02:42While planning a prison escape, he insists that he needs a prisoner's prosthetic leg.
02:52Peter works hard to get the limb only to discover that Rocket was joking about needing it.
03:03But the furry guardian wasn't satisfied with his one incident.
03:06During Infinity War, Rocket casually reveals a prosthetic eye he stole and gives it to
03:10Thor.
03:12In the film, the Guardian tries to get his hands on Bucky's arm.
03:14The Winter Soldier's refusal seemed to mark the only time Rocket failed to get the prosthetic
03:18he wanted.
03:24Fortunately for the Guardian, Nebula remembered his hilarious obsession during the holiday
03:27season.

03:31The Avengers
03:32The first public Avengers outing saw the team work together to take down an alien army that
03:36had assembled in New York.
03:37After beating the Chitauri, the team definitely earned a meal.
03:40Unfortunately, Tony had a great suggestion.
03:49It initially seemed like the victory banquet would occur offscreen.
03:52However, audiences were pleasantly surprised when a post-credits scene showed the Avengers
03:55chowing down in a ruined restaurant.
03:57The behind-the-scenes details about this sequence make it funnier in hindsight.
04:01Since Chris Evans had a beard when this last-minute scene was filmed, Cap covers his face.
04:05Hemsworth also nearly got sick because he ate too many pitas over multiple takes.
04:09Their thankful small details didn't stop us from sharing a meal with the Avengers.

04:34Stan Lee Delivery
04:36Captain America Civil War
04:37Over the course of a few decades, the late, great Stan Lee tried to cameo in as many Marvel
04:41films as possible.
04:42While all of his appearances were fantastic, his surprising role in Civil War was particularly
04:47memorable.
04:48The iconic scene takes place near the end as Rhodey is in the middle of intense physical
04:52therapy.
04:53After the scene takes a grim turn, Stan Lee arrives with a package and funny nickname
04:56for Iron Man.
05:03The cameo would have left us in stitches in any film, but the fact that Lee delivered
05:08a crucial item while breaking the tension between Avengers made it better.
05:10Just a year later, we got to see the legend make another important and laugh-out-loud
05:14cameo in Guardians 2.

05:24Steve Meets Groot Avengers Infinity War
05:27Back in the first Guardians film, Rocket explained that Groot has rather limited vocabulistics.
05:31If you want to understand the sentient tree, you either need to spend a lot of time with
05:34him or learn his language like Thor did.
05:45Cap definitely hadn't done either when he first met Groot in Wakanda.
05:48When Thor introduces the tree to Steve, the Avenger completely misunderstands the intent
05:52of the alien's words.
06:00Cap's response left us rolling on the floor because it was so perfectly in character for
06:04him.
06:05Hopefully Groot was saying something PG when he first met Steve.

06:14Tony Gets Undressed
06:15Iron Man
06:16We never know what to expect when Tony Stark dons or doffs his Iron Man armor.
06:20Either we'll get a badass scene of him suiting up in a cool way, or we'll be treated to a
06:23hysterical joke.
06:25The first Iron Man gave us one of the best examples of the latter trend.
06:28After Tony used his Iron Man suit to take down Ten Rings villains, we were expecting
06:32a serious or contemplative scene.
06:34Instead, we're treated to a gut-busting sequence where he struggles to get undressed.
06:45Tony's asides were fantastic by themselves, but Pepper's sudden entrance made the scene
06:49better by giving Iron Man a chance to deliver one of his best quips.

07:04The Three Spider-Men Hang Out
07:05Spider-Man No Way Home
07:07No Way Home was an epic movie that also served as a huge love letter to the Spider-Man franchise.
07:12The movie took time to pay homage to the famous pointing meme when the trio got confused about
07:16which Peter was being called upon.
07:18After that fantastic reference, the three heroes decided to come up with an efficient
07:22and hilarious naming system.
07:27The best moment between the trio came when they got a moment to talk about their histories.
07:31During the light-hearted conversation, the Peters asked the questions we always wanted
07:35to know.
07:36They even have time to give a quick chiropractor lesson.
07:46Although we loved the action in the movie, we wouldn't mind just watching the three
07:49Spideys talk for hours on end.

08:01Mantis Exposes Peter
08:02Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
08:04At the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Peter Quill struggles to keep his
08:08growing feelings for Gamora under wraps.
08:10Unfortunately, he's exposed shortly after the group meets Mantis.
08:14The empathic alien doesn't hesitate to tell the team that she has the power to read the
08:17emotions of everyone around her.
08:19When Mantis turns her abilities on Peter, his feelings for Gamora are laid bare for
08:23everyone to see.
08:33Drax's over-the-top reaction to Star-Lord's embarrassment made for comic gold.
08:37While Quill may not have loved how the truth came out, we'll always adore this hysterical
08:40scene.

08:49Work Pals
08:50Thor Ragnarok
08:51Thor's arrival on the planet Sakaar doesn't begin very auspiciously.
08:54He's captured almost immediately and forced to become a gladiator in an arena where the
08:58guy made of rocks is considered pretty average.
09:10His brother Loki has also schemed his way into the good graces of the local Grandmaster.
09:15Things look even more grim as the reigning champion is hyped up for the crowd.
09:25But as it turns out, the champion is the Hulk.
09:28As hilarious as Loki's immediate desire to be anywhere else is, Thor's happiness
09:32is even funnier.
09:40His reference to Hulk being a friend from work is also the funniest possible way to
09:43describe their friendship.
09:48Number 19
09:50Thor Loves Coffee Slash Needs A Horse
09:52Thor
09:54The Marvel Cinematic Universe has consistently utilized the fish-out-of-water trope to great
09:58effect, with Thor often at the center of it.
10:00He's from a different realm, after all.
10:02One of his funniest moments came during his first visit to Earth.
10:05In need of sustenance, Thor hits up a diner, and it's there that his otherworldliness
10:08begins to emerge.
10:12After draining a cup of coffee, he slams it on the floor and demands another before marching
10:16into a pet shop and requesting a horse for transportation.
10:23It's the fact that he's saying these things with 100% sincerity, not to mention a boatload
10:26of arrogance, that makes these moments so frickin' hilarious.
10:36Number 18
10:38Get Help!
10:39Thor Ragnarok
10:40Thor Ragnarok was one seriously funny flick, and much of the humor came from the interplay
10:49between adoptive brothers Thor and Loki.
10:51In the third act, the duo find themselves in an elevator together.
10:55Knowing that when the doors open, they'll be confronted by heavily armed guards, Thor
10:58suggests that they do get help.
11:09Loki immediately shoots down the idea, mostly because it involves him pretending to be hurt
11:13so that Thor can launch him towards the slew of unsuspecting guards.
11:18And while it's definitely humiliating, it's incredibly effective.
11:25Not to mention funny.

11:30Playing Galaga
11:31The Avengers
11:32One of the first meetings between the original Avengers sees the group around a table aboard
11:37S.H.I.E.L.D.'s helicarrier.
11:38When Tony Stark arrives, he naturally begins talking a mile a minute and drawing attention.
11:51When he begins messing with the ship's controls, he starts rambling a bit, including calling
11:55a technician out for secretly playing the arcade game, Galaga.
12:03It seems like a random bit of dialogue from Tony, and a fun reference for people who get
12:07it.
12:10But at the end of the scene, when Tony leaves, cut to a random S.H.I.E.L.D.
12:13tech who indeed begins playing Galaga.
12:19Number 16
12:20Tony miscalculates his thrusters, Iron Man.
12:26The film that set the standard for all future Marvel flicks, Iron Man remains one of the
12:29franchise's funniest entries, and with no shortage of great scenes to choose from, we
12:34were hard-pressed to pick just one, so we went with two.
12:36The first is when Tony is trying out his thrusters for the first time.
12:46Underestimating their power, he asks for 10% thrust capacity and is promptly propelled
12:51backwards and into the ceiling, only to be doused by one of his robot assistants with
12:55a fire extinguisher.
12:59In the second, we see Tony trying out his thrusters again, only this time, he offers
13:03up some choice words for his robotic pal.
13:09Number 15
13:11Peter's best friend finds out he's Spider-Man, Spider-Man Homecoming.
13:18Fans waited a long time for Spidey to join the MCU, and when his feature-length Homecoming
13:23arrived, it delivered in terms of quality and quality jokes.
13:27One of the best moments was when Ned finds out that the masked vigilante known as Spider-Man
13:31is none other than his high school buddy.
13:33The look on Ned's face when he realizes who Peter has been moonlighting as is priceless.
13:43It's almost as good as the reaction Aunt May had when she discovered the same thing, though
13:46with slightly less cursing.
13:51Side note, did anyone else wince when Ned dropped that immaculately assembled Death
13:54Star?
13:55What were the quick reflexes and Spidey-sense when the Empire needed him, Parker?
14:05Number 14.
14:06Snake Story – Thor Ragnarok.
14:08Eager to get off of Sakaar to save Asgard from his sister, Hela, Thor and Bruce Banner
14:13ally with Valkyrie to get revenge as the Revengers.
14:30Valkyrie sweetens their alliance by revealing that she's captured Loki.
14:33However, the newly formed team hits a snag.
14:35In order to get a ship strong enough to survive the wormhole back, they might have to trust
14:39Loki, who has tried to kill them all.
14:48As evidence, Thor relates an anecdote from their childhood wherein Loki turned into a
14:52snake, which Thor picked up.
14:54Loki then shapeshifted back into himself and stabbed his brother.
15:08Chris Hemsworth's delivery is hilarious.
15:10We could watch him say, bleh, it's me on loop, as are Mark Ruffalo and Tom Hiddleston's
15:15reactions.
15:16Number 13.
15:17America's Ass – Avengers Endgame.
15:19The time travel in Avengers Endgame offers a huge number of opportunities for comedy.
15:24One of the biggest laughs in the movie is the result of a trip back to the aftermath
15:27of the first Avengers film.
15:28While observing their past selves, Tony Stark comments on Steve Rogers' outfit, declaring
15:33that it makes his backside look ridiculous.
15:39Ant-Man defends Steve's posterior, saying that he considers it America's Ass, and even
15:43saluting.
15:49This alone is outrageously funny, but the gag gets even better when after defeating
15:53his past self in a fight, Cap checks out his own butt and agrees that it's worthy of being
15:57America's Ass.
16:01It certainly makes us laugh our asses off.
16:03Number 12.
16:04Adopted – The Avengers Yeah, we're not done with that roundtable
16:08scene.
16:09It's got so much gold.
16:10The Avengers discuss Loki's plan to bring an army of Chitauri to Earth.
16:14Bruce Banner claims they shouldn't worry too much about Loki himself, since he's clearly
16:18crazy.
16:24Although Thor starts to defend his brother, Black Widow cites Loki's mass murder spree.
16:29Prompting Thor to swiftly backpedal and mutter weakly that Loki is adopted.
16:36The contrast between Thor's previously grand manner of speaking with this down-to-Earth
16:40response is fantastic.
16:42It practically encapsulates what makes him such a funny character in general.
16:45Number 11.
16:46Drax's Special Skill – Avengers Infinity War
16:49All of the Guardians of the Galaxy are hysterical in their own way, but Drax is something special.
16:53When Quill and Gamora have a romantic moment, it's interrupted by an unexpected crunch.
17:09We then pull back to see Drax standing there eating nuts.
17:11When they ask how long he's been there, Drax claims to have been there for an hour.
17:15Furthermore, he asserts that he's able to stand so still that he becomes invisible.
17:34His demonstration is less than convincing, but still funny.
17:36Mantis saying hi to him may burst Drax's bubble, but it makes us burst out laughing.
17:41Clearly, they all broke his concentration.
17:44Number 10.
17:45Luis's Long Story – Ant-Man
17:52Luis, Scott Lang's motormouthed criminal ally, was a straight-up scene-stealer in 2015's
17:57Ant-Man, and while he gave us plenty to choose from, it's this scene in which he tells
18:01a long-winded story which made us laugh the most.
18:04The scene works because of two things – Luis's rapid-fire storytelling ability and the fact
18:08that he dubs all of the characters that appear on screen.
18:18As it unfolds, one can't help but laugh, particularly the moment when Luis speaks for
18:22the big man himself, Stan Lee.
18:24Be honest.
18:25Did you ever think you'd see the comic book legend mouth the words, Crazy Stupid Fine?
18:29Yeah, we didn't think so.
18:33Number 9.
18:34Meeting Korg – Thor Ragnarok
18:36What kind of list would this be if we didn't include multiple scenes from Thor Ragnarok?
18:40Korg, the self-described pile of rocks that Thor meets while imprisoned by the Grand Master,
18:45is perhaps the greatest side character in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
18:48To date, that is.
18:49Allow me to introduce myself.
18:51My name is Korg.
18:52I'm kind of like the leader in here.
18:53The film's New Zealand director, Taika Waititi, voices Korg, and he brings exactly the same
18:58kind of wit to the character that he became known for in his previous work.
19:01This whole thing is a circle, but not a real circle, more like a freaky circle.
19:07Korg is laid-back, totally deadpan, and incredibly lovable, all of which is on display during
19:11his first meeting with the God of Thunder.
19:13That rock-paper-scissors joke?
19:15Priceless.
19:16You don't need to be afraid unless you're made of scissors.
19:19Just a little rock-paper-scissors joke for you.
19:21Number 8.
19:22Drax doesn't get metaphors – Guardians of the Galaxy
19:25Yeah, I'll have to agree with the walking thesaurus on that one.
19:29Do not ever call me a thesaurus.
19:32Guardians of the Galaxy broke the mold in many ways.
19:34It's proof that superhero films could be silly, and that comedy doesn't always have
19:38to take a backseat to action.
19:39Leading the way was Drax, who Rocket describes as being completely literal.
19:43This means that any metaphors thrown his way will inevitably go over his head.
19:47Of course, if you tell him that, he'll quickly remind you nothing goes over his head.
19:51His people are completely literal.
19:53Metaphors are gonna go over his head.
19:54Nothing goes over my head.
19:55My reflexes are too fast.
19:56I wouldn't catch it.
19:59Drax only got funnier in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, particularly the scene in which
20:03he starkly rebuffs Mantis' advances.
20:06What are you doing?
20:08I'm imagining being with you physically.
20:11Drax, that's not...
20:12I don't like you like that.
20:13Number 7.
20:14Shakespeare in the Park – The Avengers Thor meets the other Avengers in dramatic
20:18fashion by stealing his brother away from them.
20:21Thor's attempts to reach his brother are hilariously interrupted just as he instructs
20:25his brother to listen to him.
20:30Iron Man knocks Thor into the forest.
20:32When Thor tries to tell Tony he has no idea what he's dealing with, Mr. Stark responds
20:36by sarcastically comparing Thor to a production of Shakespeare in the Park.
20:43He also compares Thor's cape to his mother's drapes in a thoroughly Shakespearean way.
20:47The short sequence is as funny as it is action-packed.
20:49Also, if Thor wanted to get Tony back, he could have compared Tony's suit to wearing
20:56his father's sports car, if Thor knows what a sports car is.
20:59Number 6.
21:00Falling for 30 Minutes – Thor Ragnarok
21:03When Thor and Loki go looking for Odin on Earth, the brothers are interrupted by Doctor
21:07Strange, who separates the pair by making Loki fall through a portal.
21:27Strange has an amicable and often funny chat with Thor, in which he agrees to locate Odin
21:31if he and Loki leave after they find their father.
21:44By the end, the audience has almost forgotten Loki, at least until Doctor Strange opens
21:49a portal and Loki collapses onto the ground, declaring that he's been falling for 30 minutes.
21:56Tom Hiddleston's exasperated delivery is gold.
22:11Also, would anyone else watch Loki falling for half an hour?
22:14Number 5.
22:15Spider-Man Talks Too Much – Captain America Civil War
22:23Captain America Civil War won't go down as one of the funnier entries in the MCU,
22:27but that doesn't mean that the superhero thriller is completely devoid of humor.
22:31In fact, the banter between Spider-Man and the rest of the superheroes during the iconic
22:34airport flight is straight-up hilarious.
22:43Of course, the best part comes when he asks Falcon how his wings work, to which he replies,
22:48There's usually not this much talking.
22:49Hey, you can't exactly fault the guy.
22:51It was his first big-time battle.
22:58Number 4.
22:59Drax Asks Why – Avengers Infinity War
23:02Infinity War leads to the different parts of the MCU coming together in new and often
23:07funny ways.
23:08Maybe the funniest such scene is when the Guardians of the Galaxy encounter Iron Man,
23:12Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange aboard one of Thanos' ships.
23:19Although the whole scene is full of great lines, such as the Avengers realizing Star-Lord
23:23is from Earth, the best moment happens because of a question from Quill.
23:28Tony Stark replies by asking who Gamora is, and then, prompted by absolutely no one, Drax
23:33says, It's such a bizarre and hysterical line, and it never fails to make us laugh.
23:41Number 3.
23:42Mary Poppins – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
23:45The Guardians are threatened by the huge Sovereign Fleet while trying to save the galaxy from
23:49Ego.
23:50In a last-ditch effort, Nebula wires herself into the mining ship she, Yondu, and Peter
23:55Quill are aboard, launching laser blasts at all the ships around them.
24:02However, the ship explodes as a result.
24:08Thankfully, Quill has a jetpack on, and Yondu has a psychic arrow, which lets him float
24:12down, and Nebula's a cyborg?
24:15Anyway, Quill comments that Yondu looks just like Mary Poppins.
24:22His father finger unknowingly asks if he, Poppins, is cool.
24:26Quill, not wanting to ruin the moment, replies that he is.
24:28Yondu's proud papa moment declaring that he is Mary Poppins is both heartwarming and
24:32hilarious, y'all.
24:36Number 2.
24:38Lifting Thor's Hammer – Avengers Age of Ultron
24:45We love this scene for so many reasons.
24:47For starters, the simple pleasure of watching the Avengers pallet up over a few beers will
24:51never get old.
24:52Second, the idea that this is what they do in their downtime is just too good.
24:56As the gang takes turns trying to lift Thor's hammer, viewers get to revel in the various
25:00members' ineptitude, with the exception of Captain America, who actually manages to
25:04make Mjolnir quiver.
25:05The look on Thor's face is worth a thousand words, and the look of relief that follows
25:21it when you realize Cap can't actually lift it is even better.
25:24We could watch this scene on a loop.
25:44Number 1.
25:45Puny God – The Avengers Hulk is definitely more about the physical
25:49humor as demonstrated when he treated Loki like a ragdoll in the third act of the Avengers.
25:54For the majority of the film, Loki tiptoed his way around trouble, using his various
25:57pawns to keep himself out of harm's way.
26:06So when the Hulk interrupted Loki's monologue about his own greatness by clobbering him
26:09into the ground, it was both relieving and side-splitting.
26:20Someone should have reminded Loki that pride comes before the fall.
26:23The Hulk may be a creature of few words, but he sure knows how to pick them.
26:29At least Loki gets to appreciate it from the outside later on.
26:37What's your favorite hilarious MCU moment?
