00:00In the older days, I was not a big fan of the Home Run Derby, even though I love baseball.
00:07I was just annoyed by listening to Chris Berman go back, back, back, back, back for five hours.
00:13I couldn't do it.
00:16It got a lot better over the last couple of years.
00:18The Home Run Derby has sort of become like the hottest, the hottest skills competition
00:23out of all the all-star games.
00:26The ratings last night, they had over 3 million viewers.
00:28It was good, not great, not bad, so they had 3 million viewers.
00:32But I'm with you.
00:33I thought last night was just long.
00:35It dragged on.
00:36You didn't have the star power either, and good players in it, but you didn't have Otani.
00:41You don't have Aaron Judds.
00:42You don't have Bryce Harper.
00:44Get some bigger names.
00:45Vlad Guerrero Jr.
00:47I don't want to see it where it turns into a slam dunk contest where the big guys, I
00:51want to do it, but I'm not going to do it, like one of these deals.
00:54I thought it was a little stale and long.
00:57I'm with you.
00:58There was one point, Scott.
00:59We went through everything, and then it got to the final.
01:02Then they brought the trophy out and brought Michael Buffer out and stuff, and they did
01:08this big introduction.
01:09It's like, guys, we've been here for two and a half hours.
01:11There's no more frills.
01:14Get on with it.
01:15No more Buffer.
01:16No more show.
01:17I quit.
01:18I quit.
01:19It's too much.
01:20But it got really cool, Scott.
01:22We had a swing off, which you've never seen before.
01:25It was super close in the final.
01:28There was drama at the end, but it was a long ... It was like a movie that the ending scene
01:33was pretty good, Scott.
01:34It was like a wedding.
01:35It was a wedding.
01:36Exactly.
01:37It was like building up to it.
01:38It's like, all right, let's go.
01:39Let's get to it.
