JP and BMitch break down the linebackers room and why Bobby Wagner's leadership will be vital to this young team's growth.
Transcript
00:00I think Wagner gives them the most presence
00:03in the middle of this defense
00:04since London Fletcher retired in 2013.
00:10London had a massive impact on this team
00:12for a number of years.
00:14I don't know that Wagner will do that,
00:15but you like to think it happens.
00:18I don't think it's an accident.
00:19Dan Quinn kind of immediately targeted him.
00:22Quinn coached Wagner when he was the DC in Seattle.
00:27Wagner's the headliner and he's the headliner for a reason.
00:29I think it's a really solid addition
00:31to this football club.
00:32Yeah, I think the thing that London and Bobby
00:35both have in common, they're leaders.
00:38And I talk, you know, I do this stuff,
00:41different things with Santana.
00:43And Santana has told me how many times he talked to London,
00:47how London helped him become a better receiver
00:50by telling him what defense players are looking for.
00:52So I think Bobby Wagner can also help offensive players
00:55as well as the defensive players.
00:57So I think that's gonna be a big help for him.
01:00And then on top of it, when you have a guy
01:02with the cachet that they have,
01:04and they still work as hard as they do,
01:07what do the other guys do
01:08who are starting to get like them?
01:10You can't complain.
01:12You have to go out there and start pushing
01:13a little bit harder.
01:14And then all of a sudden, you find out if your team
01:16is practicing harder, pushing harder,
01:18you're better for Boston.
