00:00What level of support does the U.S. Resolve Tibet Act offer?
00:04This is very significant. Not just significant, but it is very important for the Tibetans.
00:09First thing, this talks about Tibet as an unresolved and Tibet issue has to be resolved through the dialogues.
00:19And the Congress had a sense that the dialogue was in deadlock since 2010.
00:26So they have to have a dialogue to resolve the Assange-Tibet conflict and to fulfill the aspiration of the Tibetan people.
00:34So for that, I think it's very important by the fact that this Resolve Act talks about Tibet as historically Tibet as an independent state,
00:46but not being a part of China historically.
00:49And for that, any kind of misinformation which comes from, propagates from China will be countered.
00:57The U.S. lawmakers last month led a delegation to Dharamsala, a town in India that is home to the Tibetan government in exile, where they met the Dalai Lama.
01:07What was the significance of this visit?
01:09In the Congress, there is bipartisan support. In the Congress, there is a bicameral support.
01:15So that is the most important thing. But to show the support of the Congress and also to show the support of the United States people and the government,
01:27they are here to tell China that Tibet issue is still unresolved.
01:35So therefore, I think the United States Congressional delegation we had in 2008, 2017, we had numerous times over the years.
01:44But this one, with the Resolve-Tibet Act in proceedings, it is very significant.
01:50It is very important for the Tibetans to move forward to resolve the Assange-Tibet conflict.
