00:00Even the most ardent supporters of flesh-eating
00:03do not become cannibals.
00:05They do not eat human beings.
00:06They do draw a line.
00:07I'm asking, if you are drawing a line,
00:10why must only human beings be beyond the line?
00:14Why cannot you be more discreet
00:17in keeping somebody out of bounds?
00:19No, draw the line with more discretion,
00:22more compassion, more consciousness.
00:25Keep even animals outside the line,
00:27which means that you will still be killing someone to eat.
00:31And who would that be?
00:32You would probably be killing plants.
00:33You would probably be killing grass.
00:35Some plants would probably always need to be killed
00:39for human consumption.
00:40And that would mean that something conscious
00:42is still being killed.
00:43But that is the maximum you can do.
00:46Now, in fact, it is not violence
00:48because it is the very constitution of your body
00:51that is acting.
00:52Violence is only when you deliberately kill.
00:54If killing is happening because it is unavoidable,
00:57then it is not violence.
