00:00Not only did President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. do what he did in his third State of the Nation Address,
00:08he also laid out the problems that the country is facing in various sectors such as education.
00:14This includes the low rank of the Philippines in their international assessment.
00:19But the President said that he will not stop to address the challenges in education.
00:24Therefore, our National Learning Recovery Program must proceed without the slightest disruption,
00:30especially in basic education.
00:33Our system of education must be strategically calibrated to make sure that our youth are not only taught to become literate,
00:41but it has also consciously developed them into problem solvers and into critical thinkers,
00:47hungry for success, ready for the future.
00:50In addition to the Chief Executive, the Digital Gap in Education is also being addressed,
00:55along with the effort to solve the lack of classrooms.

01:04The production of instructional materials, especially textbooks, which are up-to-date and error-free, must be ensured.
