00:00My name's Paul. Nice to meet you Paul. And can you tell me what do you think is the most unique part about Derry?
00:06The people
00:08Some of the scenery and the Derry Walls
00:13and the nightlife
00:15Do you feel like Derry is lacking anything? Is there anything it should improve on?
00:22It needs something.
00:24And more music around the town centre
00:27during the day
00:30and stuff for people to do maybe during the day time
00:32and more stuff for young people to do during the day
00:36like wee activities out in the foil
00:39you put that foil out there and it's all they're used at the moment
00:43You've got skiers around here. Do you think they could use skate parks or something like that?
00:49Aye and no. It all depends where you're going to put it.
00:53Right so, what do you think is the unique selling point of Derry?
00:56What do you think that Derry has or some places don't?
00:59I actually do genuinely think the nightlife is great.
01:01Oh yeah I think the nightlife. And then the Derry girls here are so nice.
01:05Like walking by it. The scenery.
01:07I suppose we're just so used to it now.
01:09At first it was, yeah.
01:11Where do you think they go for the nightlife here?
01:13Eh, the Dunloe. I love the Dunloe, yeah.
01:15The Dunloe. Most nights.
01:17And where are you from?
01:19Calvin, Lanford.
01:21And what are you studying? Nursing.
01:23Hi, Tim Grimm. I'm Alyssa Branch.
01:25Nice to meet you.
01:27How long have you been in Derry now?
01:29Just spending the whole day in Derry.
01:31And what do you think is the unique aspect of Derry? Like what brought you here?
01:35I love Derry for its mix of historical, you know the history here mixed with contemporary.
01:44It's a really vibrant town. Seems a lot going on and good food, good drink, good crack.
01:52And I learned things about the history of Northern Ireland that I didn't know.
01:56Educational that day.
01:58A little bit about some of the divides in the city over time.
02:02A little bit about the origin of the Wall and what it was here for.
02:05That was pretty interesting stuff that I had not learned before.
02:09And what are you looking forward to the rest of your day?
02:12Well, we've got to go back down south.
02:14I work with the tour company Industry Tours, which is out of the Republic.
02:18And we just come up for, bring our guests up, about 20 Americans and Canadians.
02:24And we give them a day in Derry to get a bit of the historical perspective.
