PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) mendukung program Kementerian ESDM, dalam uji coba penerapan bahan bakar biodiesel B40 untuk kereta api. KAI membangun fasilitas pencampuran, dan pengisian bahan bakar yang berlokasi di Cipinang (Jakarta), Arjawinangun (Cirebon), Cepu (Blora), Lempuyangan (Yogyakarta), dan Pasar Turi (Surabaya).
