00:00B7 Italy, a more free and equitable trade with the midday and the Mediterranean in the
00:28centre. Saipem, leader of Underwater, at the service of the Greenstream gas station.
00:34Marcello Pacifico confirmed in Palermo for the acclamation of the national president,
00:40Anief.
00:41Due to the volume of global trade in crescita in the next two years after the expected fall
00:54in 2023, the B7 Flash Congress, a deepening of the Deloitte industry, was held at the G7
01:03Industry Stakeholders Conference, Reversing the Global Protectionist Drift, organized
01:09on the eve of the G7 ministerial meeting, which took place in Villa San Giovanni in Reggio
01:16Calabria.
01:17The Deloitte Italy is an exclusive knowledge partner of the B7 Italy 2024, leading the
01:24transition together, chaired by Confindustria and led by Emma Marcegaglia.
01:29In view of the coming years, the key challenge is to find a sustainable balance between
01:35strengthening resilience and economic security and preserving liberal principles and open
01:42markets.
01:43In his opening speech, Minister Antonio Tajani spoke of the crescita of noon and
01:49how the Mediterranean must become a commercial area, not a dead area.
01:53The Southern industry is trying to reach the export levels of the regions of the north
02:00and the center. The Mediterranean must be a place of opening, a place of welcome, but
02:05also a place that must make the Mediterranean Sea become more and more a sea of trade,
02:12a place of peace and growth, not a cemetery of migrants.
02:15And of the challenges that await the countries of the G7 from a commercial point of view,
02:19Andrea Poggi, innovation leader and head of delegation B7 for Deloitte Central Mediterranean,
02:26spoke.
02:27It is essential that the countries of the G7 have a common policy, a strong collaboration
02:33in order to face the main challenges to international trade. It is essential that the countries
02:39of the G7 have a particular focus on the challenge related to the growth of the GDP.
02:46To emphasize the importance of noon in the growth of trade, in particular of the Mediterranean
02:52area, it is Emma Marcegaglia.
02:55As has been remembered, there are still some signs of significant growth. It is a piece
03:00of the country that is growing more than the rest. Obviously there is still a gap to
03:05fill, but we are here as B7, as representatives of the business, we are here to say there
03:11are opportunities and also the attention to Africa can become a moment of development.
03:18And obviously Calabria and noon pose as the right bridge, the best bridge to do this
03:25operation.
03:26We need an equitable trade, but we must not let the idea prevail that we close everything,
03:32that we continue to increase taxes, that we continue to put protectionism, because this,
03:37and it has been said very clearly here, would lead to a weakening of the economy and would
03:42probably hit the weakest areas. So it is not what is needed in Italy, it is not what
03:47is needed in South Italy, it is certainly not what is needed in the West.
03:53Saipem is confirming itself as a leader in the underwater sector. In fact, the company
03:58will guarantee the intervention services for Green Stream, the gas pipeline that runs
04:02from Libya to the Sicilian coast and to Gela, as well as the longest in the Mediterranean.
04:07A fundamental infrastructure for the diversification of supply and for the energy security of our
04:13country. Saipem will deal with the management of data, inspections and critical exchanges,
04:19will provide specialized engineering services for the integrity of the assets and will deal
04:24with the early intervention and resupply in case of damage. In this last case, the use
04:30of their own SIRCOS technology is planned, a remote repair system qualified to operate
04:36in deep water up to 2,200 meters. The activities will be managed by SONSUB, the
04:42excellence center of Saipem for robotics, technologies and underwater services, and
04:47carried out in coordination with the engineering lab in Fano, in the province of Pesaro.
04:52The company has in fact devised and industrialized a fleet of underwater drones for inspection
04:57and intervention activities at sea, up to 3,000 meters deep, which will be used for this project.
05:05Saipem boasts a long collaboration with the company that manages the Green Stream pipeline,
05:10has taken care of the installation of the same pipeline, finishing the work in 2004 and
05:15establishing with this project also the record of the deepest installation with anchors.
05:20In its history, the company has installed more than 32,000 km of ducts on the bottom of the sea,
05:26almost the circumference of the Earth, has installed all the gas transport dorsals to Italy,
05:32in addition to the Green Stream, also the Transmed, from Algeria to Italy, and the TAP,
05:37the gas pipeline that runs from Azerbaijan to Italy.
05:40One or two days of serious confrontations, debates and debates, have seen committed
05:47the union ANIF to discuss the problems solved in the world of work, school, university and research,
05:54in the beautiful setting of the city of Marriott and Vasini, not far from Palermo.
05:58We represent more than 60,000, at the moment 70,000 registered at the university, research and
06:05in the Italian school, but also in the conservatories, what we would like?
06:09We would like to build a more just, more equitable, more solidary school, a world of research education
06:15that is fundamental for the country.
06:17ANIF is a strong and cohesive union. It was re-elected for the first time Marcello Pacifico,
06:23already president of the union.
06:25We represent more than 60,000, at the moment 70,000 registered at the university, research and
06:32in the Italian school, but also in the conservatories, what we would like?
06:35We would like to build a more just, more equitable, more solidary school, a world of research education
06:41that is fundamental for the country.
06:43But the challenges are challenging, like the one on artificial intelligence.
06:47Certainly artificial intelligence can represent an opportunity, but it can also be a risk.
06:52So we must govern the events. To govern it, to reach a higher goal.
06:57What is the higher goal?
06:58For example, to fight against the school dispersion, against the school abandonment,
07:02to improve the learnings.
07:03But it is clear that there must be a role of the protagonist, from the union world,
07:08from the workers, because we must build this new path together,
07:13like every technological revolution.
07:15What can and must the politics do?
07:17We signed the last contract, 1921, we also published it, giving dignity to the work we have done.
07:24The contract is needed to protect the rights of the workers.
07:28We have done it, we have done it for years, we have agreed on some important things,
07:34such as the training in the service area, the concession for women victims of violence,
07:40the concession for precarious tributes.
07:42These are small pillars, but they have been realized thanks to ANIA.
07:45It also makes a greater appreciation of the ATA staff, of the DSGA.
07:49Everything has really been done to try to improve the test.
07:53But it is clear that a contract must be signed with the resources.
07:55The Italian school, unfortunately, is the oldest in the world,
07:58we have more than 40% over 60, with a generational gap between students and teachers,
08:04and it is the most precarious school in the world.
08:06One out of four is precarious.
08:08This is not the way to guarantee the continuity of the teaching,
08:11this is not the way to offer a good service to the teachers,
08:14especially in support places, where we have half of the places in demand.
08:17So what do we want?
08:18We would certainly like a double channel of recruitment to stabilize the precarious,
08:24because for years they have been called on those places,
08:26and if they are without a title,
08:28we would like to allow them to obtain a qualification, a specialization,
08:31to be also trained.
08:33But on the other hand, we must end this state hypocrisy.
08:36It is a double hypocrisy.
08:37The first is because they are called on support places,
08:40many teachers who are not specialized, and nobody says it.
08:42And the second is because they are underpaid.
08:48Sustainability.
09:13Sustainability, the commitment of Ferrarelli to generate value.
09:19A2A, positive, the third balance of territorial sustainability of Puglia.
09:27Maximum commitment to generate value for society and territory,
09:30Ferrarelli and Benefit Society,
09:32fourth player in the sector of mineral waters in Italy,
09:34presents the balance of sustainability 2023
09:37with the numbers that certify the progress in the S&G area of the company.
09:41Ferrarelli, in the balance of sustainability 2023,
09:45publishes an improvement of its BIA score,
09:48Benefit Impact Assessment, at 87.7 points.
09:53This year, the company is able to further improve
09:57the score related to the accounting
10:00that it is going to insert in its impact relationship
10:03within the exercise balance.
10:06The year 2023 is therefore an extremely positive year,
10:09both in terms of economic and financial results,
10:14but also in terms of results and accounting
10:19related to sustainability.
10:21In this dynamic,
10:24the accounting of 1 million euros is also included,
10:29about activities and social projects.
10:35Some data.
10:36On the front of environmental sustainability,
10:38Ferrarelli has used 5,000 tons of recycled PET
10:41to make its own bottles
10:43and produced 4,670 gigajoules of clean energy
10:47through solar panels, not only.
10:50The important data is certainly the attention
10:54to the reduction of waste and water dispersions
11:01along the path that leads to bottling.
11:05So, for example,
11:08the replacement of pumps for energy saving
11:12to make water resource management more efficient.
11:15In terms of social sustainability,
11:17the share of women employed in companies
11:19is now equal to 31.5%.
11:21The number of indefinite-term contracts
11:23on the total of employees has reached 93%,
11:26while the number of hours of training required
11:29has increased by 10% compared to 2022.
11:32On the front of economic sustainability,
11:34three key data.
11:35The million euros that Ferrarelli invested in 2023
11:38in support of the community,
11:40222 million euros of economic value
11:42distributed to stakeholders
11:44and 87% of the spending made on Italian suppliers.
11:48This is certainly a period of great change
11:52and innovation and sustainability
11:55are the two key points
11:57on which our company aims for the future.
12:02They represent a driving force for change
12:06and the awareness of the limits of natural resources
12:13and the impacts of human activities on the environment
12:17is constantly growing.
12:18Therefore, it is essential today, even more than before,
12:21to measure such impacts and to make use of them more efficient.
12:26These are the two words that, in my opinion,
12:28represent the key elements to focus on.
12:33A year marked by the plus sign.
12:36Months, those of 2023,
12:38in which the economic value generated on the Puglian territory
12:41was equal to 35 million euros,
12:44recording a growth of 35% compared to 2022.
12:48A group that is based in Puglia, region,
12:51on which he invested 9 million euros in infrastructure.
12:54These are some of the figures
12:55of the third balance sheet of Puglia's territorial sustainability
12:58presented by the company ADOEA in Brindisi.
13:01The document not only accounts for the environmental, economic
13:04and social benefits of the group on the territory,
13:06but also announces its next plans of activities.
13:09The objectives of the group,
13:10aligned with those established by the Agenda 2030,
13:13foresee a boost in terms of commitment also in Puglia.
13:17As far as the future is concerned,
13:18we intend to maintain and expand our commitment in Puglia
13:23with these investments and other investments in infrastructure.
13:27We want to increase our ability to generate sustainable value for the territory.
13:34An important indicator is, for example,
13:36that already today we avoid the emission of 150,000 tons per year of CO2
13:42as a result of our activities.
13:44We want to increase this data,
13:46we want to increase our presence,
13:50we want to increase our activity on this territory.
13:54ADOEA is now a historical presence for the industrial area of Brindisi,
13:58which has never believed in the industrial monoculture,
14:01said the mayor of the city, Giuseppe Marchionna,
14:03so it is essential to have more and varied production realities.
14:07We think, as a city and therefore as a territory,
14:11to have to support on the one hand,
14:14but on the other hand to help these big companies to give a hand to the city,
14:19both in terms of scientific capacity of development,
14:25of identification of sustainable development paths,
14:28and in terms of preparation of technical and professional skills
14:33that serve to support such a complex and articulated path.
14:40From this point of view, we focus precisely on this aspect,
14:45that of the economy of knowledge as an expression of culture,
14:51and on this we found our candidacy to the Italian Capital of Culture for 2027.
