00:00Wales doesn't have its own Olympic team, but if it did, it would be the 65th biggest
00:05contingency of this year's Games in Paris.
00:08It's the biggest team that Wales have sent to an Olympic Games in over a century, with
00:1231 Welsh athletes taking part, smaller only than in 1908, when Wales sent a full hockey
00:18team that won bronze, so slightly skews the number.
00:22There are Welsh athletes we can cheer for in a number of different events, from boxing
00:25and cycling, two events that athletes have often competed in, to some that Wales have
00:30never competed in before, like table tennis.
00:33That sole Welsh table tennis athlete is 18-year-old Anna Hersey from Swansea, who has been a name
00:38spoken about since she was selected for the Commonwealth Games for Wales way back when
00:42she was just 11 years old.
00:44In particular, Wales has a number of cyclists, hockey players and swimmers out in Paris,
00:49with plenty of gold medal hopefuls among the lot.
00:51With 12 athletes as young as 17 and as old as 39 at the Games, there's a big mix and
00:56a hope of some Welsh gold medals.
