00:00Are they going to do something now at the deadline?
00:02Is this, to you, a straight-up indicator
00:06they will be active and they will bring in something?
00:11I don't even go significant piece.
00:12Absolutely.
00:13Yes, 100%.
00:14But you left out at the end, you said significant piece.
00:17Yeah, and that's the thing where I
00:19don't know if it's going to be a significant move.
00:23But I mean, if you go get a couple of bullpen arms,
00:26that's probably right now maybe the most prudent thing
00:29to do, especially coming off the Criswell start.
00:33But again, who knows what pitching
00:35is going to be available.
00:36And even today, look at the standings today.
00:39There's a bunch of teams that are
00:40going to talk themselves into, we're
00:43flirting around enough that we shouldn't liquidate assets.
00:46It's going to be hard to make a deal.
00:48And I think that would be being fair to Breslau.
00:51But if there are a couple that are made,
00:54and it's just giving up the right minor leaguer,
00:58Lord knows this organization is allegedly stocked with them.
01:01So if Craig Breslau really wants something, he can go get it,
01:05providing the owner lets him.
01:06And that's why I put the caveat on the Cora thing.
01:09Because if John Henry says, Alex, we got you.
01:12You're being paid.
01:13I'm only spending this, that's nothing he can control.
01:16To me, this is the first win in Craig Breslau's career
01:20here as the GM of the Red Sox.
01:23Now, that is an interesting angle
01:26that I don't know if I agree with.
01:28No, it's fine.
01:29Because, well, because, well, let's just do this all day.
01:33No, no, no, it's not even that.
01:34But like, he inherited the guy.
01:36How hard, you could have, you're not a baseball guy.
01:40You would have gone in there and in a month
01:43been like, this Cora guy's OK by me.
01:46It took forever for a guy who played with Cora
01:51to then come around.
01:53Basically, here's kind of the way I look at it, OK?
01:56Who the F is Craig Breslau to put the stamp on Alex Cora?
02:00Only because he's his boss.
02:02That's it?
02:03And we're giving Breslau the win for walking
02:06into an organization and having a ready-made world
02:10championship manager?
02:12I don't know if I can give Breslau credit for that.
