00:00As you said, there is an appetite, obviously,
00:01on your guys' end, but also on a fan's end,
00:04because this show has like a newfound, it keeps growing.
00:07I mean, it was on the Nielsen charts,
00:09it topped, it beat out the Bear a couple weeks ago.
00:12Yeah, I know, it's unbelievable.
00:13I think, yeah, it's, I think, available on Netflix now,
00:17and yeah, I'm encountering a whole new round of people
00:21who reveal to me that they just binge-watched the whole show
00:24and had never seen it before,
00:25and that's the way it works now.
00:28With streaming, things can sort of revive
00:30and have a new life for new fans,
00:33and yeah, there's something about this world,
00:35something about this character that captivates people.
00:40I was gonna say, what do you think that is
00:41that now it has this resurgence?
00:45It's hard to say.
00:46I mean, I think there's many different ways
00:51this show appeals to people,
00:52as there are people who watch it,
00:54but I think the maybe abiding thing is in a world
01:01in which we feel a sense of being out of control.
01:07People like spending time with a character
01:09who's taking his own unique control
01:11of his little corner of the world.
01:14I think we all have our shadow side that we contend with,
01:19and Dexter's is obviously a little weightier than most,
01:26but I think people enjoy spending time
01:29with someone who's doing his best
01:33to take responsibility for that side
01:36in his sort of outside-the-box way
01:42and morally gray way, but yeah,
01:47people, I think, relish the invitation
01:54to identify with someone who's contending
01:58with this much darkness and maybe contending with it
02:01in a way that is arguably admirable,
02:07even though he's doing what he's doing.
02:11I just think admirable in a headline
02:13would be a really great way to describe Dexter, for sure.
02:16I think that's it.
02:17Thank you so much for having me.
