Glasgow rapper Bemz on choosing to pursue a career in the music industry

While it may be a difficult industry to break into Ayrshire rapper Bemz who currently resides in Glasgow has chosen to make the leap.

00:10It's not even anything that I regret because like whether or not I make it in this big bad music industry

00:16I can be at peace with myself and know that the choices that I made was because I wanted to and it's not for like

00:23Riches or nothing like I mean don't get me wrong if

00:26Tomorrow I become a millionaire

00:27Great, you know, I mean like nobody's gonna deny that but it was never a case of like doing it just to be rich

00:33It was a case of doing it to be able to like get my story out and let people know who I am

00:38and if the people

00:41It was always a case of if I put the music out when people gel with it

00:44Great, if they don't it's still my truth. Do you know what I mean?

00:47So, um, yeah

00:49It was kind of really why I chose music and it was always really gonna be like a means to an end as well

00:53It's like, you know, you start the journey and like in each day

00:57I was learning more and more about myself and learning more and more about how I think sometimes the music industry

01:03Can be a bit unfair, you know, and it's like right. Okay. Well, how do you change it?

01:09Do you know I mean and it's just implement implementing those changes every single step of the way

01:14Do you know I mean then because I always say be the change you want to see, you know

01:17and and the deeper I go into the music industry the more I'm like, I just need to keep going because

01:23Hopefully the bigger I get and the bigger I get the more I can actually

01:27Make some sort of changes and I'm not saying I'm gonna change the music industry

01:32But if I can change the way things is seen around my community and the people around me
