00:40De Lima said that if the Duterte drug war is to be investigated,

00:43it should be resumed by the DDS or Davao Death Squad

00:48which he also investigated when he was the head of the Commission on Human Rights

00:51and Duterte was the Davao Mayor.

00:53De Lima said that Duterte only made the Davao Death Squad a National Death Squad

00:58where the vigilantes are actually police officers.

01:09Some of them may be civilians, but recruited, coordinated with, and paid by the police to kill.

02:00We followed different kind of techniques with regard to operations and the reason why this happened to us

02:08is because there are more people who are being hit on the feet.

02:10The technique of our police is better and I can say that our guidance is really the preservation of life.

02:18Duterte and former PNP chief Senator Bato de la Rosa did not respond to the hearing.

02:23They said that they will not attend the hearing.

02:25We tried to get the address of Duterte's camp, but they did not respond.
