00:00Mapo Integrated Data System
00:30We collect data on human trafficking and migrant life in our country.
00:39With that data, we have the opportunity to analyse it and formulate it in the form of a policy.
00:48We will use the analysed data to draw conclusions, to set further mitigation measures
00:59if it leads to a trend of growth.
01:11When we analyse the data, we can plot a graph.
01:15We can predict the future of trafficking crimes.
01:21The launch of Mapo Integrated Data System is another milestone in KDN's continued efforts.
01:29We take this opportunity to express our appreciation
01:38because we were able to jump from the Tier 2 Watch List to Tier 2 last year.
01:47This appreciation is not only for the people of KDN and Mapo,
01:54but also for all other strategic and stakeholders.
01:57We express our appreciation to them.
02:02This year, the theme is Leave No Child Behind in the fight against human trafficking.
02:10Malaysia is one step ahead.
02:16We have amended Section 14 of the Human Trafficking Act.
02:24We amended it in 2022.
02:27It states that any method used to exploit children
02:37does not need to be proven,
02:39and there is a heavier penalty for child trafficking
02:45up to a maximum of 30 years in prison.
02:48That is the 2022 amendment under Section 14 of the Human Trafficking Act.
02:54KDN has also carried out a close approach to children
03:00in the Immigration Department.
03:04For children under the age of 18,
03:08we will move them to a more conducive centre
03:21compared to a depot.
03:24This project is called Baitul Mahabah.
03:29At present, we have three centres in Negeri Sembilan,
03:33Papar, and Bekenu, Sarawak.
03:37When we target Tier 1 next year,
03:40we have three priorities.
03:47First, we must improve cooperation between agencies.
03:53That is the key.
03:55Now that we have it,
03:57we will use the term to improve cooperation.
04:01Second, we must make an effort to identify the victims
04:07and protect them.
04:09Third, we must be determined to improve the litigation process
04:15against human traffickers.
04:19Baitul Mahabah?
04:20Yes, Baitul Mahabah.
04:26We have six targets for this year.
04:30The Papar-Bekenu project has been completed.
04:33We have a proposal to be mined in Tanah Merah, Kelantan,
04:38and be stored in Johor.
04:43So this year, before closing on 31 December,
04:47we will have six targets.
04:49Once we have six targets,
04:51I will ask the KSU to provide additional budget
04:56for next year.
