Transcript
00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press on Friday, August the 2nd, just bringing
00:03you some headlines. We've got a couple of fundraisers for you to start with. The family
00:08of a little girl named Bo, aged five, she suffers from Batten's disease and she has a dream of
00:14visiting Lapland and going to see Santa and the family out, hoping to raise some cash to do that.
00:20You can find out how you can donate and little Bo's story on the website this morning. Then
00:26another fundraiser, very unpleasant, someone's pet dog called Poppy, they were out walking and
00:36the little dog unfortunately came to rest on what had been a campfire and which hadn't been put out
00:43properly, suffering third degree burns, causing some really nasty injuries. There's some unpleasant
00:50pictures so please don't have a look at those if you'll be upset, but there is a warning on there
00:56to let people know. But they're also trying to raise money because the veterinary bills have
01:02already reached over thousands of pounds and are expected to need a few more thousands as well,
01:10so the fundraising link is in that story on the website also today. And then finally a piece from
01:16Doncaster Council, there's some plans put in, being put before the council for a historic
01:24former town hall in Doncaster to be converted into apartments and commercial units. You can
01:30read all about that today as well. So for those stories and for anything else that's happening,
01:35visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk or of course keep up to date on Facebook and X.
01:42Have a great Friday and a lovely weekend.
