00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
00:19The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
00:25And with your spirit.
00:26To prepare ourselves to celebrate these sacred mysteries, let us call to mind our saints.
00:36Lord Jesus, you are the way, the truth, and the life. Lord have mercy.
00:43Lord Jesus, you are Emmanuel, you are with us always. Christ have mercy.
00:50Lord Jesus, you taught us not to be afraid, but to take courage. Lord have mercy.
00:58May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
01:07May your grace, O Lord, be great. All times go before us and follow after.
01:12And make us always determined to carry out good works.
01:16To our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
01:21God forever and ever. Amen.
01:46Jeremiah gave this answer to the princes and all the people.
01:50It was the Lord who sent me to prophesy against this house and city.
01:55All that you have heard.
01:57Now, therefore, reform your ways and your deeds.
02:02Listen to the voice of the Lord your God.
02:05So that the Lord will repent of the evil with which he threatens you.
02:09As for me, I am in your hands.
02:12Do with me what you think good and right.
02:15But mark well, if you put me to death.
02:18It is innocent blood you bring on yourselves.
02:21On this city and its citizens.
02:24For in truth it was the Lord who sent me to you.
02:28To speak all these things for you to hear.
02:31Thereupon the princes and all the people.
02:34Said to the priests and the prophets.
02:37This man does not deserve death.
02:41It is in the name of the Lord, our God, that he speaks to us.
02:46So Ahicham, son of Shaphan, protected Jeremiah.
02:51So that he was not handed over to the people to be put to death.
02:55The word of God.
02:57Thanks be to God.
03:02Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:06Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:10Rescue me out of the mire, may I not sink.
03:13May I be rescued from my foes.
03:16And from the watery depths.
03:19Let not the floodwaters overwhelm me.
03:22Nor the abyss swallow me up.
03:25Nor the pit close its mouth over me.
03:28Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:32But I am afflicted and in pain.
03:35Let your saving help, oh God, protect me.
03:39I will praise the name of God in song.
03:42And I will glorify him with thanksgiving.
03:45Lord, in your great love, answer me.
03:49See, you lowly ones, and be glad.
03:53You who seek God, may your hearts revive.
03:57For the Lord hears the poor.
04:00And his own who are in bonds he spurns not.
04:03Lord, in your great love, answer me.
04:07Alleluia, alleluia.
04:10Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness.
04:14For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
04:17Alleluia, alleluia.
04:20The Lord be with you.
04:22And with your spirit.
04:24Reading from the Holy Gospel.
04:27According to Matthew.
04:29Glory to you, oh Lord.
04:32Herod the Tetrarch heard of the reputation of Jesus.
04:36And said to his servants, This man is John the Baptist.
04:40He has been raised from the dead.
04:43That is why mighty powers are at work in him.
04:46Now Herod had arrested John, bound him, and put him in prison.
04:51On account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip.
04:55For John had said to him.
04:58It is not lawful for you to have her.
05:01Although he wanted to kill him, he feared the people.
05:05For they regarded him as a prophet.
05:08But at a birthday celebration for Herod.
05:11The daughter of Herodias performed a dance before the guests.
05:15And delighted Herod so much.
05:18That he swore to give her whatever she might ask for.
05:22Prompted by her mother, she said.
05:25Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.
05:29The king was distressed.
05:31But because of his oaths and the guests who were present.
05:35He ordered that it be given, and he had John beheaded in the prison.
05:40His head was brought in on a platter and given to the girl.
05:44Who took it to her mother.
05:46His disciples came and took away the corpse.
05:49And buried him, and they went and told Jesus.
05:53The Gospel of the Lord.
05:56Praise you Lord Jesus Christ.
06:08Blessed are you Lord God of all creation.
06:11For through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you.
06:14Fruit of the earth and work of human hands.
06:16It will become for us the bread of life.
06:18Blessed be God forever.
06:27Blessed are you Lord God of all creation.
06:30For through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you.
06:33Fruit of the vine and work of human hands.
06:35It will become our spiritual drink.
06:38Blessed be God forever.
06:56Pray my brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours.
06:59May be acceptable to God our almighty Father.
07:02May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands.
07:05For the praise and glory of his name.
07:08For our good and the good of all his holy church.
07:11Accept the Lord the prayers of your faithful.
07:14With this artificial offering.
07:16That through these acts of devotedness.
07:19We may pass over to the glory of heaven.
07:21Through Christ our Lord.
07:23Amen.
07:24The Lord be with you.
07:25And with your spirit.
07:27Lift up your hearts.
07:28We lift them up to the Lord.
07:29Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:31It is right and just.
07:33It is truly right and just.
07:35Our duty and our salvation.
07:36Always and everywhere to give you thanks.
07:38Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal.
07:41God through Christ our Lord.
07:42For he is the true and eternal priest.
07:45Who instituted the pattern of an everlasting sacrifice.
07:48And was the first to offer himself as the saving victim.
07:51Commanding us to make this offering as his memorial.
07:54As we eat his flesh that was sacrificed for us.
07:57We are made strong.
07:58And as we drink his blood that was poured out for us.
08:00We are washed clean.
08:01And so with the angels and archangels.
08:03With thrones and dominions.
08:05And with all the hosts and powers of heaven.
08:07We sing the hymn of your glory.
08:09As without end we acclaim.
08:12Lord, you have made the underworld.
08:15God first.
08:17Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
08:20Hosanna in the highest.
08:22Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
08:25Hosanna in the highest.
08:28This morning we will pray the second Eucharistic prayer.
08:31And a beautiful quote from St. Hansen to Saints on the Holy Eucharist.
08:35He said, when you receive him.
08:38Stir up your heart to do him homage.
08:41Speak to him about your spiritual life.
08:43Gazing upon him in your soul.
08:46Where he is present for your happiness.
08:50Welcome him as warmly as possible.
08:52And behave outwardly in such a way.
08:55That your actions may give proof to all.
08:59Of his presence.
09:02You are indeed holy, O Lord.
09:05The fount of all holiness.
09:07Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray.
09:09By sending down your spirit upon the righteous, O God.
09:12So that they may become for us.
09:14The body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:17At the time he was betrayed and intervened in his passion.
09:20He took revenge giving thanks for it.
09:23And gave it to his disciples saying.
09:25Take this all of you and eat of it.
09:28For this is my body.
09:31Which will be given up for you.
09:33Hosanna in the highest.
09:40In a similar way when supper was ended.
09:42He took the chalice.
09:43And once more giving thanks.
09:44He gave it to his disciples saying.
09:46Take this all of you drink from it.
09:49For this is the chalice of my blood.
09:51The blood of the new and eternal covenant.
09:53Which will be poured out for you.
09:56And for me.
09:57For the forgiveness of sins.
09:59Do this in memory of me.
10:07The mystery of faith.
10:09Save us, Savior of the world.
10:12For by your cross and resurrection.
10:14You have set us free.
10:17Therefore as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection.
10:21We offer you Lord the bread of life and the chalice of salvation.
10:24Giving thanks that you have us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
10:28Humbly we pray that partaking of the body and blood of Christ.
10:31We may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.

10:37And bring her to the fullness of charity.
10:39Together with Francis our Pope.

10:42And all of your people.
10:44Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection.
10:48And all who have died in your mercy.
10:51Welcome them into the light of your face.
10:53Have mercy on us all we pray.
10:55That with the blessed Virgin Mary mother of God.
10:57With the blessed Joseph our spouse.
10:59With the blessed apostles.
11:01And all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages.
11:04We may merit to be couriers to eternal life.
11:07And may praise and glorify you through your son Jesus Christ.
11:12Through him and with him and in him.
11:14O God almighty Father.
11:16In the unity of the Holy Spirit.

11:43Thy kingdom come.
11:45Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11:49Give us this day our daily bread.
11:52And forgive us our trespasses.
11:54As we forgive those who trespass against us.
11:59And lead us not into temptation.
12:02But deliver us from evil.
12:04Deliver us Lord we pray from every evil.
12:06Graciously grant peace in our days.
12:08That by the help of your mercy.
12:10We may be always free from sin and take more distress.
