00:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:20The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
00:23and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all and with your spirit.
00:27Good morning everyone. In today's Gospel, Jesus speaks about the wise and the foolish virgins.
00:36The wise were using all the possibilities to receive the Lord, like receive the
00:49revelation of God and to experience the manifestation of the Lord.
00:53Whereas, the foolish virgins were not just, they were just relaxing.
01:02He speaks about like even the wise cannot, wise virgins advice didn't help them to achieve the
01:11God. In every day's affairs, we should use all the possibilities to experience the manifestation
01:23of the Lord in and around us, with our brothers and sisters, where we are, where we work, where
01:30we go. Otherwise, and we should be, try to experience that with our faith and heart,
01:40not with our intellect and with the reason. If you are using our intellectual capacity and the
01:48reason to be, reason behind that to experience the Lord, even the wise people advice didn't help
01:57the virgins, the foolish virgins to experience that, to enter into the
02:02a hall, wedding hall. We may not be able to experience that. Sometimes,
02:13with our wrong decisions, with our intellectual thinking and reasoning, we might have
02:23lost the experience, the manifestation of the Lord in and around us. Let's take a moment to
02:30accept all our failures and weaknesses and ask pardon for that and prepare ourselves to celebrate
02:36the sacred mysteries. I confess to Almighty God and you, my brothers and sisters, that I have
02:51greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do.
02:58Through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. Therefore, I ask Blessed Mary
03:04of a virgin, all the angels and saints and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the
03:10Lord our God. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting
03:17life. Amen. Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy. Let us pray. O God, who caused the
03:31minds of the faithful to unite in a single purpose. Grant your people to love what you command and to
03:38desire what you promise. That amid the uncertainties of this world, our hearts may be fixed on that
03:46place where true gladness is found. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns
03:54with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.
04:08A reading from the first letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians.
04:12Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the good news, and not to preach that in the terms
04:19of philosophy in which the crucifixion of Christ cannot be expressed. The language of the cross
04:29may be illogical to those who are not on the way of salvation, but those of us who are on the way
04:36but those of us who are on the way see it as God's power to save. As scripture says, I shall destroy
04:45the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing all the learning of the learned. Where are the philosophers
04:53now? Where are the scribes? Where are any of our thinkers today? Do you see now how God has shown up
05:03the foolishness of human wisdom? If it was God's wisdom that human wisdom should not know God,
05:12it was because God wanted to save those who have faith through the foolishness of the message
05:18that we preach. And so, while the Jews demand miracles and the Greeks look for wisdom,
05:25here are we preaching a crucified Christ to the Jews an obstacle that they cannot get over,
05:32to the pagans madness, but to those who have been called, whether they are Jews or Greeks,
05:40a Christ who is the power and the wisdom of God. For God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom
05:48and God's weakness is stronger than human strength. The word of the Lord.
05:55Our response today is the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
06:03Bring not your joy to the Lord or you just for praise is fitting for loyal hearts. Give thanks
06:11to the Lord upon the heart with the 10 stringed lute sing him songs. The earth is full of the
06:18goodness of the Lord. For the word of the Lord is faithful and all his words to be trusted.
06:27The Lord loves justice and right and fills the earth with his love.
06:32The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
06:38He frustrates the designs of the nations. He defeats the plan of the peoples.
06:44His own design shall stand forever. The plans of his heart from age to age.
06:50The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
06:54Hallelujah, hallelujah. Be watchful, pray constantly
06:59that we may be worthy to stand before the Son of Man. Hallelujah.
07:06The Lord be with you. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew. Glory to you, O Lord.
07:14Jesus said to his disciples,
07:17The kingdom of heaven will be like this.
07:20Ten bridesmaids took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
07:25Five of them were foolish and five were sensible. The foolish ones did take their lamps but they
07:35brought no oil, whereas the sensible ones took flask of oil as well as their lamps.
07:42The bridegroom was late and they all grew drowsy and fell asleep.
07:47But at midnight there was a cry, the bridegroom is here, go out and meet him.
07:53At this all those bridesmaids woke up and trimmed their lamps and the foolish ones
07:59said to the sensible ones, give us some of your oil, our lamps are going out.
08:05But they replied, there may not be enough for us and for you.
08:09You had better go to those who sell it and buy some for yourselves.
08:14They had gone off to buy it when the bridegroom arrived.
08:18Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding hall and the door was closed.
08:25The other bridesmaids arrived later. Lord, Lord, they said, open the door for us.
08:32But he replied, I tell you solemnly, I do not know you.
08:37So stay awake because you do not know either the day or the hour.
08:44The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ.
08:51Blessed are you Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received
08:55the bread we offer you, fruit of the earth and work of human hands.
08:59It will become for us the bread of life, blessed be God forever.
09:02Blessed are you Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received
09:27the wine we offer you, fruit of the vine and work of human hands.
09:30It will become our spiritual drink, blessed be God forever.
09:35With humble spirit and contrite heart we make this prayer.
09:37Lord, may our sacrifice on your side this day be pleasing to you, Lord God.
09:42Wash away my iniquities and my sins.
09:51Pray brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the Almighty
09:56Father. May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name,
10:01for our good and good of all his holy church.
10:06O Lord, who gained for yourself a people by adoption through the one sacrifice offered
10:12once for all, rest now graciously on us, we pray, the gifts of unity and peace in your church,
10:19through Christ our Lord. The Lord be with you.
10:23Lift up your hearts. Let's give thanks to the Lord our God.
10:35It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you
10:39thanks, Father most holy, through your beloved son Jesus Christ, your word through whom you
10:45made all things, whom you sent as our saviour and redeemer, incarnate by the Holy Spirit
10:50and born of the Virgin. Fulfilling your will and gaining for your holy people,
10:55he stretched out his hands as he entered his passion, so as to break the bonds of death and
11:01manifest resurrection. And so by the angels and all the saints, we declare your glory,
11:07as with one voice we acclaim. Holy, holy, holy Lord God of hosts,
11:14heaven and earth are full of your glory, Hosanna in the highest.
11:18Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.
11:26You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness. Make holy, therefore, these gifts,
11:31we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon the plague that you fall, so that they may become
11:37for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the time he was betrayed, I entered
11:46willingly into his passion. He took bread and, giving thanks, broke it and gave it to his
11:51disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given
11:59up for you. In a similar way, when Saparvasi entered, he took the chalice and, once more,
12:15giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it,
12:22for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
12:28which will be poured out for you and for many
12:31for forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me.
12:50The mystery of faith, when we eat this bread and drink this cup,
12:54we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.
12:59Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you,
13:03Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us
13:08worthy to be in your presence and minister to you. Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body
13:14and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit. Remember, Lord, your Church,
13:21spread throughout the world, and bring her to the fullness of charity,
13:25together with Francis our Pope, Charles our Bishop, and all the clergy.
13:30Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
13:36and all who have died in your mercy. Welcome them into the light of your face.
13:41Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
13:47Blessed Joseph, her spouse, the Blessed Apostles, and all the saints
13:51who have pleased you throughout the ages, we may merit to be co-heirs to eternal life,
13:57and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
14:04Through him, and with him, and in him, O God, Almighty Father,
14:08in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honour is yours, forever and ever.
14:16Amen.
14:21At the Saviour's command, and formed by divine teaching, we die to sing,
14:25Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
14:29Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
14:34Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
14:38as we forgive those who trespass against us.
14:41And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
14:46Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
14:48Graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help of your mercy,
14:53we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress,
14:57as we avoid the blessed hope and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
15:02For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.
15:06Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles,
15:08Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
15:12Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church,
15:15and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will,
15:19who live and reign forever and ever.
15:23Peace of the Lord be with you always.
15:25In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
15:26Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
15:28Peace to you all.
15:39Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
15:42Have mercy on us.
15:44Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
15:47Have mercy on us.
15:49Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
15:51Grant us peace.
16:03Behold the Lamb of God.
16:05Behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
16:08Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
16:12Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
16:15but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
16:18In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
16:20Amen.
16:41Let us pray.
16:50Complete within us, O Lord, we pray, the healing work of your mercy,
16:55and graciously perfect and sustain us, so that in all things we may please you.
17:01Through Christ our Lord, may the Lord be with you.
17:05The Almighty God bless you, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
17:10and the Mercy Center.
17:11Let's go and live the gospel.
17:13Thanks be to God.
17:14Have a wonderful day.
17:15God bless you.
