00:00Hello, I'm Sam Morton, reporter for Sussex World, and I've just watched Brighton beat QPR at Loftus Road in their penultimate pre-season friendly.
00:08One goal was enough on the day, with Danny Wobbeck scoring from the penalty spot.
00:12It was Jankuba Minta who was fouled after he won the ball back high up the field, and as he lined up a shot he was unfairly brought down.
00:19And Minta was one of the bright sparks of the day once again, after his two goals in Japan.
00:24He didn't quite get on the score sheet today, but he looked the most likely, especially in the first half.
00:28But Sarmiento came close with a good effort that was well saved. Matoma had a shot on target as well.
00:35But Brighton couldn't quite find that final ball in the first half, but there was some real nice interplay and link-up between the players.
00:44There's so much attacking talent in this team now, and Minta really has settled like a duck to water in the side, and he's been really impressive.
00:52Long may it continue, and hopefully he can replicate that in the Premier League.
00:57There was also a debut today for Mats Weifer, who has been injured since his move from Feyenoord.
01:02But there was real excitement about him, because he would have been one of the first names on the team sheet for the Netherlands and the Euros if it wasn't for his injury.
01:09He's come in at Brighton, and he came in in the second half, and there were some nice moments from him as well.
01:14There's so much more to come, and I think we'll definitely see more from him and Kosey Dubre as well, who came on as a second-half substitute.
01:22There were some other nice cameos as well, and it was really good to see the players giving minutes.
01:28That's the main thing in pre-season, to get the fitness up and the match sharpness, and to get ready for the Premier League season, which starts with a trip to Everton.
01:39They don't get much tougher than that.
