00:00Now, the thing when it comes to Devon Achan is you're dealing with a player that is a
00:06little smaller frame, but he is exactly the same frame as Jameer Gibbs, a player that
00:11I'm super high on in his respective offense.
00:14So Devon Achan runs in a very fast tempo, very efficient Miami Dolphins offense.
00:23You look at some of the projections for him, 900 rushing yards, seven touchdowns, a guy
00:28who can also catch the ball in the backfield.
00:30Now I know Raheem Mostert was that guy last year that had a ton of touchdowns, but Raheem
00:34Mostert is in his thirties now, and I don't think we can copy and paste last season for
00:39him.
00:40It's not that Mostert goes away necessarily, but he's also a player that has struggled
00:43with injuries throughout his NFL career.
00:46Devon Achan on the other hand, now that's a player that has enormous upside.
00:49They also drafted Jalen Wright, another running back who could eventually kind of take over
00:54that Mostert goal line role, but we're talking about explosiveness.
00:57We're talking about a running back like Devon Achan.
01:01You're talking about a guy who could end up potentially as a top three running back in
01:05fantasy.
01:07That's the kind of upside.
01:08Now what's interesting is you're kind of paying for that already.
01:10He is RB 10 right now on most people's boards or 11, somewhere in that range, right around
01:17guys like Isaiah Pacheco, who's a little safer.
01:19Travis 18 is a little safer ahead of Rashad White, which makes sense because Rashad White
01:25is a player that is a little bit more steady Eddie than he is explosive and fun.
01:31Nothing wrong with Rashad White.
01:33Rashad White isn't going to necessarily win you a league, but as an RB two, he's going
01:37to help you win a league.
01:38Whereas Devon Achan could be a player that wins you your league in that Miami offense
01:42that is so good, so explosive, so incredible.
01:46So Matt, I think we got you back now when we're looking at players like Devon Achan,
01:51it's somewhere between the steadier, calmer versions of Rashad White, where you just take
01:56the guy that you feel like, okay, am I going to get 17 productive games out of this player?
02:01Probably.
02:02But I'm also leaving on the table, the explosiveness, the danger that is Devon Achan in a fantasy
02:06league who could be a guy that wins you weeks.
02:09And I think Achan's that player guys like Pacheco, maybe that player, maybe Rashad White
02:14isn't that player.
02:15But what do you think about Achan?
02:16Is he worth the risk at the 10th RB overall for you?
02:20Well, here's the thing.
02:21At the end of the day, it's called lottery tickets for a reason.
02:25Now, a guy going that high, it's not necessarily a lottery ticket because you are spending
02:30just a little bit more.
02:31But if he goes off, you want to be the roster that has him.
02:34So it's completely worth it for Achan.
02:36That offense was absolutely incredible last year.
02:39Remember those that were late to the bus finally getting in there, wagering in the final weeks
02:43of the surge?
02:44We laugh at those people.
02:45We don't want to be that.
02:46I think Achan is a huge part of what Miami can do.
02:49And I want to be in on the upside and not have to be looking from the outside in.
