USA's Morgan Pearson thinks more competitors could become sick following the conclusion of the mixed relay.

00:00It just seemed like a bit of a crapshoot if we'd race or not.

00:05You know, it'd rain one day, the water quality would get bad, and then it would slowly go down.

00:10So I think it'll be interesting to see how many athletes get sick in the next couple days.

00:13We would maybe have liked to have seen an alternative venue like the open water swimmers have.

00:18That would have been nice just so we have that back up.

00:21They should have made like a big net in the shape of a canoe and had us swim in there.

00:28Basically what I'm trying to say is I think they could have invested more into having clean water.

00:33It seems like they kind of were just hoping for the best.

00:36And no, the athletes are going to do it because it's the Olympics.

00:42So I think they could have invested more, maybe differently.

00:47It sounds like they invested a lot of money, but maybe they'd had the wrong ideas.

00:51They need more idea people.

00:53The French government are trying to clean up the sand so people can use it afterwards.

00:56So don't stop now. Keep going. Make sure it's clean.
