00:00An ending as dramatic as its beginning, the 2024 Summer Olympics are officially over.
00:07More than 10,000 athletes spent the past 19 days competing for gold in 48 disciplines,
00:14set in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Paris.
00:19The games were off to a rocky start, with an arson attack on the train lines hours before the opening ceremony.
00:26But it did not delay the theatrics, or the athletes who rose to meet the moment.
00:32Medals were won and lost by thousands to the second.
00:36125 Olympic records broken.
00:40Gold medal first for Botswana, Dominica, Guatemala, and Saint Lucia.
00:45And the first medal for the refugee Olympic team.
00:48There were moments of cuteness, moments of cool, and moments of cringe.
