00:00Here's the American League pennant.
00:04That's a better idea.
00:05I like that.
00:06Nice move there by Luke.
00:08The Yankees still favored over the Orioles, Guardians, Astros, Twins, Mariners, Royals,
00:14Red Sox, and then anybody else that apparently, according to those that think they know, have
00:20no chance.
00:22Do you believe in that Yankee team, Cam, or not at all?
00:26Well, Pic, I'd rather have the Orioles at plus 275.
00:29I know they went through a drought.
00:30I think they're a better team once their guys get hot.
00:33The Yankees are great.
00:34They can rely on Judge, though, but I'm just going to say I think the Orioles, one more
00:39year, a little bit disappointing last year losing to Texas.
00:41If you're looking for a value play, I'd probably look at the Mariners at 10 to 1.
00:45All right, so as far as odds to win the World Series here on the Lion's Share, brought to
00:52you by BetMGM.
00:53Here's your World Series odds.
00:55The Dodgers favored over the Phillies, Yankees, Orioles, and Braves on what planet?
01:05Can we go a little bit deeper?
01:08Listen, yeah.
01:09What planet do you have to be on to believe the Braves, with all of their problems this
01:13year and all their injuries, are going to win the World Series?
01:18My World Series?
01:20No, they don't.
01:21And they've got a lot of problems, and I feel bad for, you know, they've had some bad luck,
01:27but that's life.
01:28Other teams deal with injuries and bad luck as well.
01:30They just haven't been hitting as well.
01:31I'm going to tell you, Scott, in the American League, give me Baltimore, and you want a
01:34dark horse?
01:35I know it's not going to be very popular with my late-night friends, but I think San Diego
01:40at 12 to 1 is an extreme value play.
01:42The Padres, that's a great price on them.
01:44Yeah, I'm not going to argue with that.
01:47And the way they're playing, and the way that bullpen has shored up now, and what they've
01:51done, and honestly, the season profile it's having, Machado started to heat up.
01:57They have so many guys that can hit home runs in that lineup, and they got good defense.
02:04They got it all, man.
02:05They got pitching, sees through a no-hitter.
02:09They got Musgrove.
02:10Remember, they've done it without Darvish and company.
02:13I would agree with you on those odds.
02:15So the most bet teams to win the World Series at BetMGM, these are the most bet teams to
02:22win the World Series.
02:24Phillies on top, then the Orioles, then Dodgers, then Yankees, Braves, Guardians, Astros, D-backs
02:32going down the line.
02:33Then you got Boston, San Diego, Seattle, and the Cubs.
02:39You know, I got to tell you, everyone thinks the Phillies are so automatic.
02:44They've looked terrible of late.
02:46Sunday, they finally stopped the bleeding at six games, but it's been much drier than
02:52a six-game losing streak.
02:53They had been losing left and right over the last three weeks.
02:58Scott, how the hell, okay, let's look at this board.
03:01So we have the Padres at 2.9%, the Mariners at 2.9%, and we have the Cubs at 2.9%.
03:07How the hell are the Cubs on that list compared to the Padres and Mariners, in my opinion?
03:12That's crazy.
03:13They're a way better team.
03:14Like, I don't know.
03:15People believe in the Cubs.
03:16Like, if they win the World Series, you'd be your butler.
03:20Fly to New York.
03:21I mean, win the World Series, they're not even going to get a wild card.
03:25Yeah, that's my point.
03:26How are they?
03:27The Cubs are at 2.9%, yet the Padres and Mariners are 2.9%?
03:33That's insanity.
03:34Wow, that's weird.
03:35Well, I mean, at least Seattle's got a one-game lead in the West.
03:40Right now, they're a playoff team.
03:41The Cubs are not a playoff team, and that's just all there is to it.
03:46And frankly, you know, I agree with you on the Cubs.
03:51I'm not worried about the Cubs, but, like, what I'm sick and tired of hearing about is
03:55the Phillies and Dodgers are so automatic, and that's why I liked your Padre bet.
03:59Like, we talked about it last week on the show that the Padres, not only did they just
04:04beat the Dodgers in a series at Petco, but they're creeping up on them, and they're already
04:09in a wild card.
04:11They're right there, right?
04:12So this is a dangerous team, and if they, you know, play a little more consistently
04:19and win when they're supposed to, like they did against the Rockies yesterday, 10-2, you
04:23know, they need to win and prove that they're for real, all right?
04:27Your AL MVP, for AL MVP, Aaron Judge still in the lead over Bobby Witt.
04:36Do you see any of that changing, Cam?
04:38No, the only guy, I love Bobby Witt.
04:40He's one of my favorite players.
04:42I'm a Royals fan.
04:44Gunnar Henderson is going to heat up, but he doesn't have enough time.
04:47Judge is too damn good.
04:48He's going to, how many home runs is Judge going to hit, you think, Scotty?
04:51What do you think?
04:52Well, I think he's going to hit at least 60.
04:5558?
04:5660.
04:57You think he can get 60?
04:5860, wow.
04:59Yeah, well, minus 1,160, it's a lock.
05:01Put it in, and he's already there.
05:03Like, who can catch him on that list?
05:05Nobody.
05:06That's who.
05:07So, yeah.
05:08Can't bet it at minus 1,100, though.
05:09That sucks.
05:11I mean, what is he?
05:12He's at 41 already.
05:13Yeah.
05:14And, you know, his problem is, lately, no one's pitching to him.
05:19They're walking him left and right, like they did yesterday, right?
05:22Great point.
05:23Well, first of all, Gunnar Henderson couldn't win the MVP if he tried this year.
05:28It's not happening.
05:29And, in fact, I think Soto's been more impressive for me than Gunnar Henderson.
05:35Gunnar Henderson, basically, for the last month, has struggled miserably.
05:40He's hit, like, one homerun in a month.
05:42You're right.
05:43So, Soto's been hitting homeruns left and right, and he's got huge numbers, huge homeruns,
05:48huge RBIs.
05:49He's done it all, and I put him above Gunnar Henderson.
05:54And, frankly, with Alvarez's homerun stick, I'd put him ahead of him as well.
06:00I don't deny Gunnar Henderson's talent, but he dried up for a month.
06:06If you're talking about winning the MVP, you cannot dry up for that much time.
06:10Now, the NL MVP.
06:12The NL MVP is Shohei Ohtani, then Bryce Harper, and Quetel Marte.
06:18Now, I'll tell you what.
06:19Quetel Marte is just tearing it up lately.
06:22I mean, he's doing it all.
06:25Driving in runs, hitting homeruns, hitting for average.
06:28He's got it all going, but they're going to still give that award to Ohtani, no matter what.
06:33Even if you parlay him and Judge, it's nothing.
06:35It's like minus 1,100 to minus 1,400.
06:37Good luck.
06:38You need to add like four pieces to it.
06:40I agree with you on Marte.
06:41I think he's absolutely fantastic.
06:43It's 16 to 1.
06:44It's a nice price, but you know it's going to Ohtani.
06:46Ohtani, too.
06:47Big hits, stolen bags, everything.
06:50Him and Judge are a lock.
06:51Unless Aaron Judge gets hurt, I can't see any other result other than Ohtani and Judge.
06:58Alright, so the AL Cy Young is going to end up being, well, it's Scooble and Burns.
07:04Do you give it to Scooble, or do you think Burns has done enough in Baltimore to steal it?
07:09I think Burns has done enough.
07:11And the thing about Scooble, I know he's awesome, but his last couple of starts have not been as crisp.
07:15At the end of the season, he might be running out of gas.
07:17He has no lock at minus 200 there.
07:19Lugo, great call by you earlier in the show, Scott.
07:22Nine to one.
07:23He actually deserves better than that.
07:26No, but it will probably, I would take Burns at plus 225.
07:29That's me.
07:30And I like Lugo as a dark horse, but we'll see.
07:33Scooble, he's pitched a lot of innings.
07:35We'll see what happens with him down the stretch.
07:37Alright, National H Cy Young.
07:39I give it to Skeens over Sale.
07:42Believe it or not, I think Skeens has captured baseball's imagination.
07:46Agreed.
07:47I think it's Paul Skeens as well.
07:48Sale's had an incredible year.
07:49We have to give him credit, but for my money, it's Skeens.
07:53Wheeler looks very good at plus 250.
07:56The other guys have not a hope in hell.
07:58Alright, real quick.
07:59The AL Rookie of the Year right now.
08:02You see that?
08:04The list.
08:05Couser.
08:06Louie Geale.
08:07I don't see that happening.
08:08He dried up too much.
08:09And the National League Rookie of the Year, if I can even look at it,
08:13evidently that's not going to happen.
