Speaker Romualdez, tiniyak ang patuloy na pagtutok ng Kamara sa mga krimen na iniuugnay sa POGO
Transcript
00:00The four committees of the Camera will join forces to investigate and be more comprehensive on the issue of Pogo, illegal drugs, and other crimes in the country.
00:11Meanwhile, the leader of the Camera in the Pogo Hubs, discovered in Purak, Pampanga, and Tarlac, Mela Lesmora, is inspecting the matter in detail.
00:22There are rooms and offices that contain illegal drugs, used and new SIM cards of various networks, baseball bats that are used for torture, and military uniforms with Chinese flags.
00:39These are just a few of the things discovered by the leader of the Camera when they inspected several Pogo Hubs here in Purak, Pampanga.
00:48One of the things they inspected is the controversial Lucky South 99 compound, along with officials of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission and other agencies.
00:59The congressmen were surprised by the size of the compound and the number of facilities in it.
01:05This compound used to be noisy and lively, but now, it's just a ghost town.
01:11All that's left are vacant houses, used goods, and garbage.
01:16This Lucky South 99 is one of the places that authorities point to as a place that has become a hub for illegal activities organized in Pogo.
01:26Before this, the leader of the Camera also inspected the Zun Yuan Technology Incorporated in Bamban, Tarlac.
01:34According to House Speaker Martin Romualdez, it is important that they conduct an inspection on the various crimes committed in Pogo.
01:43On Wednesday, they will continue their investigation until the issue is resolved.
01:49Our personal inspection is different because all the leaders of the House issued an order to the President.
01:56This is what you call a follow-up, follow-through on that order.
02:00We will also help the court in the manner in which we are in opposition to whatever legislation or other inquiry and investigation that they require.
02:10Some lawmakers believe that the personalities behind Pogo, illegal drugs, and other crimes in the country have connections with each other.
02:20That's why a special committee will be formed in the Camera to conduct an investigation on this matter.
02:27This is where the House Committees on Public Order, Public Accounts, Dangerous Drugs, and other committees that are involved in the issue will join forces.
02:36Personally, I strongly believe that there's a criminal organization operating in the country which involves illegal Pogos, scum hubs, drug syndicates, EJKs, and all these.
02:49They are all connected.
02:52We will work on having these three committees at the very least.
02:57Although the chairs of the other committees here are working together to consolidate the reports.
03:03There are many bills here in Pogo, but we have seen many interrelations that the committee cannot handle.
03:12According to the House Committee on Public Order and Safety Chair Dan Fernandez,
03:16in their next discussion, one of the things he wants to point out is who are the allies of the government that are being helped through the Pogo crimes.
03:25Just like in Bambantarlac, there's a leak of information that the authorities will conduct a raid, that's why many escaped.
03:33Supposedly, 1,500 will be apprehended.
03:37But it turned out that only 300 were apprehended because someone called.
03:41In our hearing, physically, the leak is from the CIDG.
03:50Okay?
03:51The POCTF is there to conduct their operation.
03:55The leadership of the Chamber of Deputies will not let go of the Pogo issue until justice is served for the victims.
04:04Melalas Moras for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
