Quad Comm na tututok sa mga krimen na may kaugnayan sa POGO, binuo ng Kamara; Ex-Pres. Duterte, iimbitahan

Transcript
00:00A Quad Committee was formed to investigate crimes related to POGO.
00:06One of the people invited to face justice for the cases of extrajudicial killings is former President Rodrigo Duterte.
00:13Mela Lesmora has the details.
00:15The Leader of the Camera, who has nothing to do with politics, condemned their investigation into crimes related to the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators or POGO.
00:30As of now, the people in charge of the issue have been invited to face justice.
00:34A Quad Committee was formed to investigate not only POGO crimes,
00:39but also illegal drugs and extrajudicial killings during the administration that they believe are connected to each other.
00:48The House Committee on Human Rights, Committee on Public Order and Safety, Committee on Dangerous Drugs, and Committee on Public Accounts are among the Quad Committees.
00:57The former President Rodrigo Duterte was the first to be invited to face justice.
01:02He issued an executive order on POGO and launched a war on drugs.
01:08Senator Ronald de la Rosa, who was the former PNP chief, said the same.
01:12I believe that our investigation into this is actually a national security concern.
01:19That's why we said that we will consult with the former President to ask him to answer all these questions because this concerns our national security.
01:31He is the only one who can answer these questions.
01:34This is not a political issue. This is not related to political persecution.
01:39We are just doing our job so that we can fix the government agencies and government bodies that are interfering in the current affairs.
01:52The Quad Committee's joint investigation was scheduled to begin on August 15.
01:57Before the investigation began, the Committee on Public Order and Safety and the Committee on Games and Amusements held a wrap-up hearing on their investigation into POGO.
02:08The former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and the former Pagod Chairman Alejandro Tengco met again.
02:14In the middle of the total POGO ban, the idea emerged here in the House that the revenue from POGO would be exchanged for one pound.
02:23But some congressmen immediately opposed this.
02:27For me, any form of gambling promotes corruption.
02:31Congressman Acop was right when he said that this is a social ill.
02:37Even if any form of gambling could provide some resources to the government, it is still a social ill. We cannot deny that.
02:49The congressmen, aside from the POGO issue, will continue to focus on other important issues for the benefit of our countrymen.
