RIN, 19, from Washington, describes their unique style as 'Gyaru', which includes: big makeup, coloured hair, giant nails, bangles that jingle... Basically the most extreme and out there version of themselves! Rin has always been attracted to more vibrant styles which led them towards the 'Gyaru' fashion. Rin told Transformed: "I have been dressing alternatively since before I can remember. Back in 2016 is when I also started cosplay, I love making my own clothes, so when I need some I just whip out my sewing machine!" Rin has gathered a large online following due to their incredibly creative looks, however, not all of the attention has been positive and sadly, Rin has been the victim of some extreme judgements. They said: "I get judged every single place I go. When I was in the skate rink once, there was a mom there who did not like how I was dressed and she actually told me she was going to beat me up. I was terrified and scared for my safety. Everybody has their opinions, but I don't let them get to me anymore." Rin's Stepdad Brian, has also never really liked their look and has often asked Rin to change or tone it down when they head out as a family. So, with this in mind, today Rin is going to give Brian the shock of his life by being transformed from their 'Gyaru' style to a 'basic glamorous look', but how will Brian react? Will he like Rin's new style or will he realise that he's finally come around and prefers Rin's Gyaru aesthetic?

01:31I've never had somebody do my makeup before, like ever.

01:39I have been dressing alternative since before I can remember.
01:43I started making a lot of my own clothes,
01:46like I made the shirt and these pants.
01:48So after I found out I could just make my own clothes,
01:51I was like, what's stopping me from doing it?
01:53Back in 2016 is also when I started cosplaying.

03:16He's concerned that people won't take me seriously

03:20The best thing that he could say is that he likes it,
03:24but he likes my normal style better
03:26because he knows that I'm more comfortable in it.
03:29My aunt moved into my house like a year ago
03:34after my mom's passing.
03:36I definitely think my aunt will think I'm pretty
03:38no matter what I wear.
03:39I definitely value her opinion heavily above basically anybody else's.

04:44It took me a second to process that I was looking at my reflection

06:37Um, I would definitely prefer Rin to wear this style.
06:42I think it would give her more opportunities in, like, career.
06:49And I think they did a good job making you over.

07:20when he is seen in public with me in my normal outfits
07:23because I definitely dress provocative and he is my stepdad,
07:29but they obviously put up with me in my normal outfits
07:33and I bet they'll continue doing it and they'll love me anyway.
07:37I don't think that I would do the style again
07:39because I don't feel like myself
07:41and I don't feel like it's expressing what I am on the inside
07:45and that's what I'm trying to do when I get all dressed up
07:48is I'm trying to show who I truly am.
