Katie Dee told Truly: "My inspiration for my look comes from traditional goth makeup and fashion, Harley Quinn, clowns and insane crazy little creatures. I just love everything to do with clown culture". Katie Dee feels her most comfortable and confident when she is dressed in her 'Demon Clown' aesthetic, but not all of her family love the look. Katie Dee said: "Growing up, I was raised very Christian and conservative and because of this my mom has never approved of my look. What allowed me to dress this way and develop my style is that I just didn't listen to them! This is me, this is who I am and you're not going to tell me not to be myself". Despite Katie Dee's defiance to her family's wishes, today she is going to do something they would never expect...being transformed from her 'Insane Demon Clown Vampire' look to a 'Sophisticated Classic' style! 01:37Today, we are going for a glamorous makeup look.

01:41We're gonna apply some lashes,

01:43do a little bit of contouring.

01:45How are you feeling?

01:46I'm excited.

01:47I'm scared as my human flesh is being revealed.

01:53My little clown paint is leaving.

01:55So growing up, I was raised very Christian and conservative,

02:00and I definitely was not given this culture

02:03from a young age,

02:05and it kind of just sparked from watching those DC comics

02:08and seeing Harley Quinn and the Joker being clowns,

02:11and I fell in love with that fashion.

02:14What allowed me to do this look with my family

02:17is I kind of just didn't listen to them.

02:20I was like, this is me, this is who I am.

02:22You're not gonna tell me anything,

02:24but I'm gonna be myself.

02:25I decided to do a glamorous look

02:28just because I think it's what my mom would wanna see.

02:34My mom has never really fully approved of my look.

02:39So rebelling against my family with how I look

02:43has always been interesting.

02:45At first, it really scared them.

02:47They were horrified.

02:48I think at this point,

02:50because I've been looking like this for so long,

02:52they've accepted that I'm not gonna change,

02:54and they also have to accept

02:56that if they don't appreciate me for who I am,

02:59they will lose me,

03:00because I do refuse to let anyone tear me down

03:03for being my most authentic self.

03:05For her eyebrows,

03:07we're gonna start with liquid, creamy eyeshadows,

03:11and then set it with powder.

03:14I love having no eyebrows, so it feels so strange.

03:19I like looking like a little alien creature.

03:21Well, a lot of the hate that I get is from the internet.

03:25I definitely get a lot of people saying

03:27that they're praying for me,

03:29or that I'm being sent to the depths of hell,

03:32or that my parents hate me and I'm a disappointment.

03:35I don't really mind people commenting

03:37on my makeup and fashion.

03:39I know it's not for everyone,

03:40but I think it's when you pick at things

03:42in my personal life,

03:43like assuming that I don't have any friends

03:46or family that love me.

03:48Those always sting a little.

03:50These are very pretty lashes.

03:52I love a lash, so.

03:53Doesn't look completed without lashes.

03:57I think most makeup doesn't look complete without a lash.

04:03so it definitely feels weird.

05:37This hair is, I think the hair is the worst part.

05:42I think my mom is going to be absolutely shocked

05:47and I think she might love it.

05:50So what do you think of Katie's demon clown look?

05:54At first, I definitely was taken back by it

05:58because you know, when you're raising your kids,

06:01you just don't even know what to expect.

06:02And obviously at first I thought it was a little

06:05out of this world and a little crazy,

06:07but I did get used to it.

06:08I'm not the biggest fan of the demon clown look,

06:12but it's very creative.

06:14Katie's very good at makeup.

06:15She comes up with these looks that are super unique.

06:18She's always been, had her own style.

06:21And weird.

07:43but most importantly, I realize

07:45I do not want to look like this

07:46and I cannot wait to wake up tomorrow morning

07:50and paint my face white and put on some PVC.

07:52Oh, and put my septum ring back in

07:54because I feel like I'm missing a chunk of my face.
