00:00First impression was just that he was very wary of everything. He was very timid and scared

00:08We drove about 11 hours home that day with him

00:13I sat in the backseat. He snuggled up and he slept the entire way home

00:21I knew we were gonna have to be super patient

00:24We're not only just rescuing a dog, we're rescuing a dog from a traumatic background

00:34He was born into a testing facility

00:39You can kind of learn quickly how they were treated just how you approach them and even

00:47Just walking into a room like how that was going to scare him

01:01Physical contact has been very important for him. It's helped him gain that trust with us

01:14Especially me, he's a mama's boy

01:17If I'm not sitting with him or holding him

01:21He comes over and he does this for me to pick him up and

01:25Like how do I resist?

01:28So then as you guys started building up that trust

01:30What were some breakthroughs or milestones you can think of the little things the everyday things?

01:35I think with dogs that you take for granted

01:38seeing him run

01:44You know seeing him play with a toy for the first time

01:48One of the biggest ones I would say for sure was when we first heard his bark

01:57So now he hasn't really stopped

02:04Then speaking of milestones, I hear you guys made it official congrats

02:09Yeah, we officially signed a paper. So Reggie is officially ours. So we had a little party where we

02:15Officially took off his beagle freedom collar and got him his collar with his little tag

02:35And then we had a little dog cake made and had a party with his sisters

02:45It's kind of a sweet little moment that we had to commemorate that he's officially part of the family
