Packages claiming to be from the NSW Health Department have been appearing in letterboxes across Sydney. Police and health authorities are investigating the suspicious deliveries.

00:00Well, a number of packages have hit Western Sydney letterboxes over the past few days,
00:06containing a package that purports to be from the New South Wales Health Department.
00:11In it is a small orange fruit, a bit like a kumquat, as well as a note that claims to
00:16be a gift from the New South Wales Health Department, and it also says it's a remedial
00:22therapy.
00:23There's also a handwritten note there that says, compliments of our father.
00:27New South Wales police are investigating this issue, and a Fire and Rescue Hazmat crew also
00:32attended a scene in Blacktown yesterday, where a woman in her 60s suffered a minor adverse
00:38reaction after handling one of these packages.
00:42Police and health authorities have taken to social media to address these issues, confirm
00:47they are investigating it.
00:49They're also urging anyone who might have come into contact with these to wash their
00:52hands thoroughly, and report any information to Crimestoppers or their local police.
00:58The health department has also made an announcement on social media, confirming they would never
01:02drop anything into a letterbox.
