00:00Karen's are one of the most infuriating types of people thinking they're above the law and believing everyone should follow their rules
00:06What happens when Karen's abuse their powers as a worker and get arrested on the job?
00:18From refusing to leave work drunk to stealing from the cash register
00:22These are times when entitled Karen's get arrested at work starting with arguably one of the most shocking
00:30Most people can't wait to get off work for a day
00:35But these cops are about to meet a woman who's insistent on staying put even after she's been fired on the 20th of February
00:442023 two officers received a call regarding a heavily intoxicated employee at a car dealership
00:49She'd arrived at work that day on time totally sober
00:52But as the day wore on employees and customers noticed she was getting more and more drunk after
00:58Confirmation the company fired her unfortunately though things weren't going to be that easy and she was refusing to leave
01:28No, how may I help you what's going on?
01:33Do you have any idea why I'm here no clue. Would you like to know why I'm here for?
01:40Well, I know what I'm here for that might be your problem. Actually
01:44That might be a business of yours
01:46I'm also in law school if you want to take down my lawyer's information
01:50Well, I don't want to talk to you, you're ignoring me
01:52Yeah, okay, so I want you to personalize me with my-
01:54Yeah, that's her desk
01:56It's immediately obvious how drunk this girl really is and she's also
02:00Instantly appearing avoidant and combative the owner had already asked her to leave multiple times at this point
02:05But every time she just ignore the commands and continue to work and as the cops continue to question her
02:11She only becomes more delusional
02:13You obviously are professional
02:15I mean, so it's my understanding that terminated your employment here at the Chevrolet
02:19Well, what's confirmed is that I need to have someone picked me up.
02:23Did you guys officially ask her to leave the property?
02:25Yes, we did. Her mom was on the phone after I told her to leave.
02:29Yeah, my mom said that she was on the way.
02:31Her mom said she's not coming to pick her up.
02:33No, no, let me put my mom on speaker.
02:35You need to leave the dealership now.
02:37By refusing to leave she's only making things worse for herself
02:40Her employer has every right to call the police as she's now trespassing on the property
02:45If she doesn't leave she could start to rack up a serious number of charges
02:49But she seems to believe she knows better than the law
02:52Okay, so I asked my mom to come on the way.
02:55Your mother told me she's not picking you up.
02:57So what's my mom's name?
02:59I don't know. She was on the phone.
03:01We're telling you you need to leave. You're gonna be trespassed.
03:03So I can't call my mom and ask her to leave?
03:05They don't want you to use their phones, okay?
03:07So I can't ask my mom to come pick me up?
03:09You can use your phone, not mine.
03:11You have a phone?
03:14Mommy, this is my mom.
03:16The girl then calls her mother and talks to her in Spanish explaining the whole situation
03:21But before she has a chance to hang up
03:23The cops decide they're done with her games and decide to move in to arrest her
03:27However, as you might expect, this Karen was about to do everything she could
03:31To make things as difficult as possible for them
03:34Okay, I've had enough. We're going. We're going outside.
03:36Are you touching me?
03:37Let's go outside. We've asked you to leave. Let's go.
03:39Grab your purse.
03:40We're going outside. Time to go outside.
03:41I will pick my cell phone, but don't touch me.
03:44Okay, let's go outside. We've asked you to leave.
03:46Let me grab my purse, but do not touch me.
03:48Outside.
03:49My lip gloss. Like, bro, what the fuck is wrong with you?
03:53We've asked you to leave. It's time to go.
03:55How the fuck?
03:56Okay, alright.
03:57Let me check on my mom.
03:58Alright, put your hands behind your head.
03:59No!
04:00We're not doing this. We're not doing this.
04:01Bro, stop! Stop! Mommy!
04:04Put your hands behind your back.
04:05No, this isn't resisting.
04:07This is resisting.
04:08This is not resisting.
04:09Stop resisting.
04:10I'm not resisting. I'm literally innocent.
04:13I'm innocent.
04:15This could have been super simple and you could have just left.
04:17Hey, hey, what are you doing? What are you doing?
04:18My purse. My stuff.
04:20My purse. That's my purse. That's my phone.
04:24I don't know what you were drinking, my dear.
04:26Pretty strong.
04:27You know what, you guys?
04:28This whole company is going to be sued.
04:30Come on, take me out, bitch. Take me out, bitch.
04:34I wanted to leave.
04:36Fuck this.
04:37Stop moving around.
04:38I don't give a fuck.
04:39What?
04:40I'm in law school.
04:41I have a clean record.
04:43Okay, but like we said, you could have just left.
04:45I wanted to leave. I tried to leave.
04:48They wouldn't let me.
04:49It didn't seem like that.
04:50They wouldn't let me.
04:52Take this shit off of me before.
04:54They're not coming off.
04:56Her threats to sue the company are pretty baseless,
04:58especially as she was later charged with disturbing the peace,
05:01trespassing, and resisting arrest.
05:03But you don't have to be drunk to try and escape from the law,
05:06as this next suspect shows us,
05:08when she finds herself on the run with nowhere to hide.
05:12You got to back up.
05:13You got to back up.
05:14You got to back up.
05:15You keep running up on me.
05:16He slammed the girl.
05:17On July 12th, 2022,
05:19a reckless driver began to cause chaos in the streets of New York,
05:23leading several people to call 911.
05:25The suspect's vehicle was soon spotted by the NYPD,
05:28and an officer decided to pull it over and question the owner
05:31before things got any more dangerous.
05:33But the officer wasn't prepared for what he would be faced with
05:36just minutes later.
05:38I'm going Gordash.
05:40You're going Gordash?
05:41Yeah, I got my, what do you call it,
05:42tight on everything for the bike.
05:44You need a license plate for it,
05:45so you can use it.
05:47You can see on the Gordash thing and everything.
05:49I can use the bike for Gordash.
05:51I'm picking up a delivery right now.
05:53You can't have this on the road.
05:55Yeah, it's a 49cc though.
05:57It doesn't matter.
05:58If you're using it on the road,
05:59you have to have it registered to New York State.
06:01Do you have any paperwork for it at all?
06:02Yes, I do.
06:03I can show you right now.
06:08In New York,
06:09reckless drivers can come with a punishment of 30 days in jail,
06:12but that's only if it's your first offense.
06:14If you've been caught out before,
06:15then you could spend even longer behind bars.
06:18But it appears reckless driving isn't the only problem here,
06:21as the bike the driver is using for her delivery job
06:23has no license plates.
06:25There are many ways the driver could have dealt with this situation,
06:28but in classic Karen fashion,
06:30she started to argue with the cops
06:32and seemed determined to finish her deliveries.
06:35I don't understand.
06:36I'm doing Uber Eats.
06:37I'm doing a job.
06:39She has a license.
06:40You were driving this, though.
06:41Yeah, but I was driving, too.
06:42Yeah, but she was driving.
06:43I'm about to show you my title to the bike, sir.
06:46I'm just trying to...
06:47I understand, I understand, ma'am.
06:48I don't understand.
06:49I'm doing a job.
06:50Clearly, the driver wants to get back to work,
06:52but the problem is,
06:53if she's driving without a license,
06:55then she could be facing a further 15 days in jail.
06:58She needs to prove that she has a license to drive,
07:01but instead, she makes a crazy decision
07:03that would land her in a lot of trouble.
07:05Do you have any questions about the license plate?
07:07Yeah, go ahead.
07:12She's not getting away.
07:13She's supposed to.
07:14Stop!
07:15Why are you trying to take my fucking bike?
07:17Why are you trying to take my bike?
07:20Come on, I'm doing a job.
07:21I'm not resisting arrest.
07:23I'm not resisting arrest.
07:25You're under arrest.
07:26You're under arrest.
07:27I'm not resisting arrest.
07:29It's frankly hilarious that this entitled woman
07:32was trying to claim that she wasn't resisting arrest
07:34while simultaneously running with her bike,
07:37writhing on the ground,
07:38and pushing away from the officers.
07:40She's already gotten herself into a terrible position,
07:43but she could mitigate the damages
07:44by just producing her license now.
07:46But instead, she chose to play it the hard way.
07:54And it's not long before bystanders try to get involved,
07:57making an already tense situation even worse.
08:00I'm going to back up.
08:01Don't touch me.
08:02You scared to?
08:03I'm scared?
08:04Yeah, you scared to?
08:05You got to back up.
08:06You got to back up.
08:07You got to back up.
08:08You keep running up on me.
08:09I'm not running up on you.
08:10You keep recording me.
08:11He slammed the ground for no reason.
08:13He slammed on the floor.
08:15You're not from around here.
08:16You're raised in a white neighborhood,
08:17and you scare the black people.
08:19This bystander is making some pretty bold claims,
08:22but the suspect was trying to escape,
08:24and police in New York are authorized
08:26to use physical force when they need to arrest someone,
08:28prevent escape, or defend a person or property from harm.
08:32Tensions were high regarding cops in New York
08:34around the time of this arrest,
08:35so it adds an extra level of stress
08:37for the arresting officer.
08:38Don't touch me.
08:39I'm going to sleep you.
08:40I'm not hooked.
08:41You antagonizing females.
08:42Don't worry about me.
08:43That's my uncle.
08:45Cop, you told him I'm doing Uber Eats.
08:47Then provide the vehicle or he not run.
08:49It's not a run for no reason.
08:50You're arresting people.
08:51He's telling me I need a license.
08:53I don't have a license for the bike.
08:54You're arresting people.
08:55Of course I'm going to run.
08:56You're resisting.
08:57You're a slave.
08:58I didn't arrest her.
08:59She has just admitted to not having a license
09:02for this vehicle,
09:03but suggesting all she could do was run
09:05is definitely the wrong move.
09:07Although the outcome of this case is unknown,
09:09this driver could be facing a hefty fine
09:11and even prison time for driving without a license
09:14and resisting arrest.
09:15Lying to a police officer is never a good thing,
09:18but gets even worse
09:19when you're supposed to be the responsible one,
09:21just like this elementary school teacher
09:23who's about to find out that lying to the cops
09:25comes with some serious consequences.
09:27From a legal standpoint,
09:28I'm going to go ahead and make the arrest.
09:29So you're going to arrest her and take her from here?
09:31Again, there's two ways now.
09:33You can view an arrest as she goes to jail
09:35or I could cite and release on her own recognizance,
09:37provided she's got somebody that's sober
09:39to come and take possession of her.
09:41In just a couple of weeks,
09:42there were multiple incidents of drunk teachers
09:44getting out of control in the classroom in Oklahoma.
09:47One of those cases was when a teacher named Jennifer
09:50showed up to her class in September 2023.
09:53Before the first bell even rang,
09:55her colleagues knew something was wrong
09:57and they could smell the problem a mile off.
09:59How you doing up in there?
10:00I'm good, how are you?
10:01Oh, it's almost the end of the week.
10:03So what's going on today?
10:04They said they had reports where I was drinking at school,
10:08which has never happened.
10:12When was the last time you had anything to drink?
10:14Last night.
10:15How much did you drink?
10:16Just a glass of wine, nothing major.
10:19All right, well, would you be willing to submit to some tests?
10:22Yeah.
10:23All right, what I'm going to do first
10:24is I'm going to check you for HDM.
10:26Okay, this is what we call standardized field sobriety tests.
10:28The standard field sobriety test is the go-to method for police
10:32and although it's not always accurate,
10:34it can help police determine if a suspect is under the influence.
10:37Normally, we see these tests performed at traffic stops,
10:40but this teacher is about to get tested in her own school.
10:43Okay, all right, can you see that right there?
10:45Mm-hmm.
10:46Okay, I want you to follow this with your eyes and your eyes only.
10:48Don't move your head, you understand?
10:49Mm-hmm.
10:50Okay, just track on that.
10:58Try to keep your head as straight as you can, okay?
11:04All right, this is what we call a portable breathalyzer machine.
11:07Depending on what type of breathalyzer machine the Oklahoma police use,
11:10the test can be accurate to within .01%,
11:13so lying about how much you've drank before you take one is not a smart move.
11:18You don't have to take the test,
11:20but this, again, would be your opportunity to prove this.
11:23Sure.
11:24Okay, you're willing to take that test?
11:25Yes.
11:26Okay.
11:27I haven't had anything today.
11:28Well, if people have had a really good one on the night before,
11:31it can carry over into the next day.
11:32If you had one glass of wine last night
11:34and you didn't have anything else after that,
11:36one glass of wine isn't going to carry over into the next day.
11:38No, I mean, I went to sleep.
11:39Right.
11:40Okay, what's going to happen is when this thing tells me it's time to blow,
11:42I'm going to have you reach over with your mouth
11:43and blow into that as hard as you can until I tell you to stop.
11:45Okay.
11:46Big deep breath, blow hard.
11:48Keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going.
11:51Okay.
11:56I don't even know what that number is.
11:580.06.
11:59What's that?
12:00You are just under the legal limit.
12:03So if you were to be out driving right now,
12:05you would be charged with DWI, driving while intoxicated.
12:08Even so, Jennifer decides to maintain her innocence.
12:11I haven't had anything to drink today.
12:13Okay.
12:14But I'm under the legal limit, right?
12:16So, under the legal limit just means that you're under the legal limit.
12:20It shows that there's alcohol in your system,
12:22so you are still technically intoxicated.
12:25Like, if you were to be out driving right now,
12:27you could still be charged for DWI.
12:29Not DUI, but DWI.
12:31Oklahoma has a zero tolerance policy for drunk drivers,
12:34and even being slightly under the limit can land you in trouble.
12:37Although this isn't a traffic stop,
12:39it should be clear enough indication that Jennifer should not be at work,
12:43let alone in a classroom full of kids.
12:45But Jennifer still says she hasn't had a drink at work,
12:48and in typical Karen style, she demands to know who accused her.
12:52This makes me mad for somebody to say that I had stuff here.
12:55I've never.
12:56And I know it's a small town.
12:58Like Major Mallinson was saying,
12:59that we're not privy to that information.
13:01We just get a call and come do, you know what I mean?
13:04The thing we'll have to do there,
13:05just to speak the school language here for a second with you,
13:08is just, she's not gonna come back
13:10if she's not willing to give me a letter of resignation.
13:13And that's something you'll work out between with her.
13:15But from a legal standpoint, I'm gonna go ahead and make the arrest.
13:17The school is trying to make this as painless as possible
13:20by giving Jennifer the opportunity to resign.
13:23If she doesn't, she could be fired,
13:25which would not only create an embarrassing situation,
13:27it could affect her chances of getting another teacher's job elsewhere.
13:31I have not had any, that's what I'm saying.
13:33I haven't had anything today.
13:35Okay, well again, I don't know your drinking habits.
13:38If somebody drinks a lot,
13:39and if they run with a normal VAC of say about a .06 or a .08,
13:44that's what feels normal to them.
13:45Okay, from a legal standpoint, you're still intoxicated.
13:47Yes, sir.
13:48When I checked your eyes for horizontal gaze nystagmus,
13:50you had every clue.
13:51You had the lack of equal pursuit,
13:52you had the onset of nystagmus prior to 45 degrees,
13:55and you had nystagmus at max deviation.
13:57If I had pulled you over, I'm going to be honest with you,
13:59you'd have been arrested for driving under the influence.
14:01No, today you're going to be arrested for public intoxication.
14:03I would just like to know who reported.
14:05And I did not drink today.
14:07Well, I'm going to tell you from a legal standpoint,
14:10when people call in and report a crime, of any crime,
14:13we're not in the business of telling people who made the report.
14:15I understand that.
14:18If you think things couldn't get any worse for Jennifer, think again.
14:22As it turns out, her own child is a pupil at this very school.
14:26In terms of your employment here, Jennifer,
14:29we can't move forward with you being a teacher here any longer.
14:33Okay, I would like to resign.
14:35Can I not be handcuffed out, please?
14:41The police department operates under policies and procedures,
14:43and I can't treat you any more different than anybody else.
14:46We're setting ourselves up for liability.
14:48My child is in the third grade hall.
14:50Where's the classroom window at?
14:52It doesn't face out to this parking lot right here?
14:55I don't know.
14:56No? Okay, that would be okay.
14:57Your ID be in here?
14:58Yeah, I can get it.
14:59I'll get it for you.
15:00Once you're in custody, we have to search all belongings, okay?
15:03But even in the face of her arrest,
15:05her fellow teachers allow her some dignity,
15:07and promise to handle the situation as delicately as possible.
15:11A noble decision, especially when you consider
15:13that she could have been endangering the lives of dozens of children.
15:17Go ahead and put your hands in front of you with your thumbs facing up, please.
15:20Is this going to go, like, on the news?
15:22Chances are it will, Jennifer.
15:24I don't have control over what they put on the news,
15:27but there's a good chance that news reporters will probably show up.
15:30I will be as discreet as I can in terms of how I handle it.
15:34Could we please?
15:36I've never been in trouble in my life.
15:38And hopefully this will be the last time, too.
15:41But despite the teachers swearing they'd handle things
15:43as discreetly as possible, the case did make the news,
15:46which is at least another step to making sure our kids
15:49are never put in the care of dangerous people like this.
