00:00As the Olympic Games come to a close, the French have come to a verdict.
00:04It wasn't the absolute disaster that Parisians were expecting.
00:09The only thing to say is it went by too quickly.
00:13On Monday we'll have to go back to reality,
00:15to the way things were before and try to move on.
00:18But I think that we can be happy with the image that France has projected
00:22and that in the end these games have been pretty successful.
00:26After weeks of political tension and divisions,
00:29rallying together behind French athletes, brandishing French flags
00:32and showing off Paris' beauty has come as a breath of fresh air.
00:37But hosting the Olympics has also come with some sacrifices
00:40and not everyone has had to pay the same price.
00:43NGOs have accused French authorities of carrying out a social clean-up of the capital
00:48ahead of the events.
00:49Last week many gathered at Besties Square in protest.
00:53Women, babies and children are on the streets every day.
00:57We call them the forgotten of the Olympics.
01:00Those who have been kicked out of hotels, out of squats,
01:03those who didn't want to move away because they have a life in Paris.
01:07Police have been seen clearing up encampments in the capital leading up to the games,
01:11with over 5,000 moved to other French regions in temporary accommodation.
01:15NGO Utopia 56 says that of the 7,000 accommodation spaces
01:19they requested in the Paris area, only 200 were granted by authorities.
