00:27Want to ask you first of all your position with Team USA with basketball team is really cool
00:31I think managing director is super dope as an Olympian as a former NBA player
00:36What is one thing that you use to anchor with your experience that you've used to anchor yourself in this job?
00:41And one thing that you had to throw away and say hey, it doesn't work with this generation of basketball players
00:45Well, you know every generation is different and I think
00:49Taking the time to try to understand this generation
00:52I mean I have kids that are you know close in age to some of these players
00:57Certainly has served me. Well, but you know, I think I think like anything it's it's patience sometimes and you have an idea
01:04Of what works and then you you figure out that okay, maybe this doesn't work. So patience being able to adjust and adapt
01:12Those are attributes that I think have I've learned to to do a better job of

01:21And in terms of things that I've had to look kind of let go of I mean I
01:25Just collect and add, you know add to and I do think though my collection of experiences both as an athlete as an Olympian
01:34But also a businessman a leader
01:37Have served me well and helped prepare me for the role and responsibility that I have
01:42Last question for you your favorite Olympic sport to watch outside of obviously basketball. I like track and field

01:50Like gymnastics women's gymnastics and the men's gymnastics. I like the swimming, you know swimming is a
01:57There's a lot of energy and spirited and in the venues
02:01So those are what you see a lot of and you know through the years and those are what I've you know
02:05Grown watching but certainly my favorite as you know is
02:09Is basketball? Well, the team is stacked going into Paris. I can't wait to see you guys win the gold medal. I appreciate it
