00:00The Philippines will host a new diplomatic protest against China as part of their plan to remove the Flare from the Himpapawid of Panatangshul.
00:21The Chinese multi-role fighter jet fired the Flare at the Philippine Air Force's airfield during a routine maritime patrol.
00:29The Department of Foreign Affairs was shocked by the incident when the Philippines and China agreed to ease tensions in the West Philippine Sea.
00:37The National Maritime Council discussed the next steps.
00:42The National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea called it irresponsible, unprofessional, and illegal to harass China.
00:50The Flare was placed in the lives of the Filipinos even though they were not against the Chinese jets.
00:56The Southern Theater Command of the Chinese military said that it was illegal to enter their training airfield in the Philippines.
01:04The AFP said that the Flare should only be used against missiles and not against other airplanes.
01:15Very dangerous. For instance, those Flares can reach our aircraft.
01:22It can hit the propeller or the intake or it can even burn our aircraft.
01:31All they have on their side is brute force and strength and mind and that's what they're going to do.
01:37Hopefully, they'll listen to reason.
01:41For a faster journey, the Department of Transportation plans to connect trains in Metro Manila and other provinces through the Greater Capital Region Railway System.
01:54Here's the news. This is Joseph Moro.
01:58In October, the Department of Transportation opened Phase 1 of LRT-1 from Baclaran to Paranaque.
02:07That's why LRT-1 is suspended during their operation every weekend throughout the month of August as a preparation here.
02:14We're installing a signaling system in the Paranaque stations and then we will connect it to Line 1 signaling system.
02:23It will depend on the testing and commissioning of the signaling.
02:26LRT-1 is one of four lines of trains in Metro Manila.
02:30However, they are limited in number and it's difficult for some to move the trains.
02:35But the DOTR has a plan to connect all projects of the trains like MRT-4, MRT-7, Metro Manila Subway and North-South Commuter Railway through the Greater Capital Region Railway System.
02:49For now, the connection of MRT-3 and LRT-1 can be done through a common station that will be the target for next year.
02:58That's the reason why we want to privatize the operations and maintenance of MRT-3.
03:05Once the two lines of MRT-3 and LRT-1 are connected, it will become a loop where the other lines of the government's trains will be connected,
03:15like the North-South Commuter Railway Project.
03:18The DOTR went to Clark, Pampanga where 82 percent of the facilities are complete.
03:25This is the main depot of the entire NSCR or North-South Commuter Railway Project.
03:29This is where heavy and light repairs of the trains will be done once the project is underway.
03:35This depot is expected to be completed by June.
03:38The target of partial operability from Valenzuela to Clark of the NSCR is 2027.
03:44Metro Manila Subway can also be connected through a common station,
03:50as well as what MRT-7 is still doing.
03:52In the Greater Capital Region Railway System, a railway system will be located in the provinces of Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite and Laguna.
04:02Our dream is that our train system will be operational similar to the operations of trains in Japan or in other developed countries.
04:17This is the first news. Joseph Morong for GMA Integrated News.
04:24The Senate is studying the possible amendments to the Sim Registration Act,
04:29after the use of illegal funds in scams and other crimes.
04:35Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is one of the members of the Sim Registration Act.
04:39One of the possible amendments is to limit the number of sims that can be registered by each user.
04:46Promotions, marketing and campaigns are also planned using short message service or SMS.
04:54The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission or PAOC said that the sims that send text scams are from POGO.
05:04They confiscated 1,000,000 sim cards from POGO raids.
05:07Since POGO was banned, the Department of Information and Communications Technology noticed that the number of text scams were reduced.
05:17They also created a Sim Card Registration Audit Task Force to verify the identity of those who registered their sims.
05:27The Philippine National Police Chief, Romel Marbil, committed himself to safeguarding the lives of people and their human rights
05:34by implementing a new campaign against the administration's drugs.
05:41This is our recalibrated drug war.
05:45The first thing we will understand is the violation of our law.
05:54Let us observe human rights.
05:57Let us preserve human life.
06:01We do not have the right to take other people's lives.
06:05Marbil gave the DNA of those who are involved in illegal drugs.
06:10And the police are enforcers of the law and order.
06:14This is in line with the bloodless operations campaign of the Marcos administration.
06:19This is in line with the bloodless war on drugs of the Duterte administration where 1,000,000 were killed.
06:24Marbil's law is a welcome development for their human rights advocates.
06:28But the human rights lawyer, Attorney Shell Giocno, is one of the pioneers in filing a case against the war on drugs of the previous administration.
06:39Giocno's suggestion is to implement the wearing of body cameras in anti-drug operations of the police
06:45as well as all the requirements for the implementation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act in buy-bust operations.
06:57After the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Philippine Paralympic Games will be held in Paris.

08:38That's the first news live from Zen Kilantang Sasa of GMA Regional TV.
08:44Zen?
08:45ZEN KILANTANG SASA
08:49The province-wide dengue outbreak in Iloilo was followed by an increase in cases of dengue,
08:56where six people lost their lives.
09:04In 43 LGUs in Iloilo province, 36 cases of dengue reached the alert and epidemic threshold.
09:11The resources are now dwindling.
09:14We don't have LGUs.
09:17We don't have test kits.
09:19We don't have adulticides.
09:24We ran out of them on the 1st of January.
09:28The number of cases of dengue is high.
09:31So, there is a great need.
09:34According to Iloilo PHO, they are just waiting for more LGUs to declare a state of calamity.
09:40So that the PDRRMC can make a resolution to lock down the province.
09:46According to Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.,
09:49the province should not be held accountable even if there is a dengue outbreak.
09:53The most important thing is that we will have access to your quick response fund.
09:58Right now, we don't need it because we have already prepared for that.
10:02We might, we might, together with the municipalities.
10:08According to the Department of Health Region 6,
10:10the number of cases of dengue in Western Visayas has reached 10,188.
10:15Iloilo has the highest number of cases, 3,914.
10:20It is followed by Negros Occidental with 1,584
10:25and Aklan with 1,319 dengue cases.
10:28In response to the current situation,
10:31the Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development
10:36has activated its Regional Dengue Task Force
10:39and inter-agency collaboration for outbreak preparedness and response strategies.
10:51According to the Iloilo Provincial Government,
10:53the dengue test kit, IV fluids and bed capacity in hospitals are ready
10:58in case there are additional admissions due to dengue.
11:01The public is still reminding them to do the 5S contra dengue.
11:06Igan.
11:07Thank you very much. Zen Kilantang Sasa of GMA Regional TV.
11:11The Agriculture Department has promised that there will be no problem in the supply of pork.
11:15Now, the African Swine Fever is a problem in some provinces.
11:18The DA also raised P150 million in the fund for financial assistance to affected hog raisers.
11:25Tina Panganiban Perez has the first news.
11:31Despite the spread of African Swine Fever in some provinces and the death of thousands of pigs,
11:37there is no problem in the supply of pork,
11:41said the Department of Agriculture.
11:43This is the concern of the Agapartylist, especially in Vermont where there is a lot of preparation.
11:50I haven't seen any perceived shortage.
11:54It's farm-based lockdown now, not the whole municipality or the whole province.
11:59So, there will still be movement.
12:02Laurel also said that there is no reason for the price of pork and processed meat to rise.
12:09No real reason to increase prices.
12:11Sir, what is the impact of ASF on the processed meat industry?
12:15There should be none.
12:17There should be none.
12:18So, it's the same that there should be no supply shortage and no price increase.
12:23Yes.
12:24The DA raised P150 million for financial assistance to affected hog raisers.
12:31P4,000 will be paid for each pig or small pig,
12:35P8,000 for the medium-sized,
12:38and P12,000 for the large.
12:40The DA increased the payment so that the sick pigs will not be exploited.
12:46The DA expects that next week,
12:49the first batch of 10,000 doses of the vaccine against ASF will be distributed.
12:55P350 million was raised for the 600,000 doses
13:01that the DA will give free to the affected by ASF.
13:05The Agapartylist said that this is not enough.
13:08Because of the backyard hog raisers,
13:11the pigs are being taken care of for P6 million.
13:15The backyard hog raisers cannot afford the P600 vaccine for each pig.
13:21So, if we will give free to our backyard hog raisers,
13:25we will need P3.6 billion to buy the vaccine.
13:31This is the first news.
13:33Tina Panganiban-Perez for GMA Integrated News.
13:37Tomorrow, the Heroes Parade will be held for the Filipino athletes who fought in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

15:10so he hopes that it will not be added.
15:12According to Senator Cynthia Villar,
15:14the Senate agreed to limit the approval of non-working holidays.
15:18This is a big expense for the private sector and the government.
15:21According to the Employers Confederation of the Philippines,
15:24there is nothing wrong with the holidays if it is not a non-working holiday.
15:29Companies' productivity should not be affected because of this.
15:33The Senate's study of the holidays is in accordance with the recommendation of Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma
15:39that it affects the productivity if there are too many non-working holidays in the country.
