00:06The COMELEC also approved the sentence for Guo because she did not comply with the truth in her Certificate of Candidacy.

00:21In a 25-page decision, Mayor Alice Guo was dismissed from the Office of the Ombudsman.

00:28She will not receive all of her retirement benefits and she will be disqualified from any government office.

00:37The decision was based on a complaint filed by the Department of Interior and Local Government for grave misconduct,

00:45conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service, gross neglect of duty, and serious dishonesty,

00:52in accordance with Guo's role in the illegal operation of POGO or Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators in the Bawfu Compound in Bambang, Tarlac.

01:02Guo insisted that she showed a willful intent to violate the law and disown the Ombudsmen.

01:10The following actions are connected and there is no other conclusion,

01:15but Guo deliberately did it with an ulterior motive and self-interest.

01:21It is clear that this is a conflict of interest, said the Ombudsman.

01:25That's why Guo should be punished.

01:33The Cominec filed the sentence for Guo for preliminary investigation in accordance with the complaint of misrepresentation against Guo.
