00:00The position of the office of the ombudsman, Alice Guo, has been removed from her position as the mayor of Bamban, Tarlac.

00:11Two months after the ombudsman suspended Alice Guo as the mayor of Bamban, Tarlac,

00:16today, she was removed from her position.

00:20The ombudsman decided to dismiss her as the mayor of Bambana.

00:25She can no longer hold any position in the government.

00:29Based on a 25-page decision, Guo is guilty of grave misconduct

00:34due to her connection to the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator, or POGO Hub, in Bamban.

00:39As the gate of the ombudsman, a public official should not move of her own will while serving the public.

00:48Due to the decision, Guo will not receive any benefit from her service.

00:54It should be noted that the decision of the ombudsman was based on the petition of the Department of Interior and Local Government

01:00to remove Guo from her position as the mayor.

01:02The Office of the Solicitor General said that the petition will be warranted against Guo so that she can be removed from her position.

01:09Their petition will not be ignored because Guo's camp can still appeal the decision.

01:16The target of the petition is not to remove Guo from any position in the government.

01:22Meanwhile, the Commission on Elections continued to pursue Guo, not because of her connection to POGO,

01:29but because of the possibility that she will lie in her Certificate of Candidacy in 2022 that she is a Filipino.

01:38Comelec hired Guo's farm as a subpoena for misrepresentation, but the mayor was no show.

01:47The person who opened the door for us earlier, he has no authority, he doesn't want to mention his name to be accepted,

01:56but he was still accepted for the purpose of accomplishing our subpoena for the respondent.

02:04They went to the municipality of Bamban and here, the subpoena was accepted, but the people there are skeptical.

02:12They don't know if it can be sent to the mayor.

02:15Actually, we don't accept subpoenas for the mayor.

02:22We accepted it so that we can have a copy, but we don't know where the mayor is.

02:30Even though Guo personally obtained the subpoena, she still considers that she was formally accepted.

02:37Starting tomorrow, Mayor Alice Guo will be given 10 days to answer the subpoena that was filed against her.

02:44Even though she did not answer, the complaint is still ongoing.

02:48For now, Guo's farm has no say in the decision of Ombudsman and the subpoena that Comelec hired for her.
