00:22The Super Typhoon Pepito is approaching Catanduanes.

00:28That's why the people living in coastal communities are being careful about the possible effects of the Super Typhoon, especially the so-called Storm Surge.

00:44The center of the Typhoon Pepito was last seen 120 kilometers east of Vera Catanduanes.

00:50It was accompanied by a strong wind of 195 kilometers per hour.

00:55It was close to the center and the typhoon was 240 kilometers per hour.

01:00The typhoon moved 20 kilometers per hour in the direction of west-northwest.

01:05The Typhoon Pepito is possible to landfall in Catanduanes from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

01:12Tomorrow, the Typhoon Aurora or Quezon Province is possible to landfall.

03:01DOST Pag-asa clarified that what was experienced in some places in Bicol Region is Ocean Swelling and not Storm Surge.

03:10DOST Pag-asa also explained that Ocean Swelling happens when there is a near storm where there are several series of waves with long wavelength.

03:20While Storm Surge or Daluyong happens when there is strong wind.

03:25It usually happens when there is a storm in the area.

03:29At the same time, DOST Pag-asa issued a Storm Surge Warning in several places in the country.

03:35More than 3 meters of water is expected in La Union, Pangasinan, Quezon, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Sorsogon and Eastern Samar.

03:48Residents who live in low-lying coastal communities should be careful and evacuate if their situation is not safe.

03:56Information Dissemination is being conducted by several local government units with the help of their social media to give reminders and warn our countrymen.

04:20How about the Rainfall Warning of DOST Pag-asa in Metro Manila?
