00:00Poppy, good morning.
00:02Good morning.
00:03Good morning.
00:04When you are, let me ask you this question.
00:05When you, if you are running late coming to the ballpark, can you just pull over and
00:08park on your own bridge?
00:09Uh, probably.
00:10I got the green light.
00:11That's what the governor said.
00:12That's what I would say.
00:13We were, we were, uh, Curtis brought up 2004 and it's, it's, does it seem like it's been
00:2420 years for, we were just talking to Jason about that.
00:27Seem like it's been 20 years.
00:29Man, time is flying.
00:31I mean, uh, he, he, it doesn't seem like it has been 20 years.
00:36I mean, I can remember things that happened back then that, uh, and let me tell you, I'm
00:41not really good at remembering things.
00:44So everything is, uh, it moving fast, but, uh, yeah, man, I mean, it's been a minute,
00:53but it doesn't seem like it.
00:55Um, I want to ask both of you guys, uh, about the relationship that the Red Sox have with
01:00the Jimmy fund.
01:01It's really special.
01:02It's been going on since 1953, I think the longest running relationship between a professional
01:08sports franchise and a charity.
01:10What, what, what has it meant to you over, over the last 20 years?
01:16Well, um, when I first got here, um, the team that I used to play for also, you know, uh,
01:28every major league baseball club is into the, the community, uh, service and all those type
01:34of thing.
01:35But once I got here to Boston, the way the Red Sox manage and educate us as a player
01:43is in a different dimension.
01:46And I say that because once I got here and I see the Jimmy fund, especially, you know,
01:54where this is something that, uh, um, it, it, it brings so many things together.
02:02You know, it was something that it caught my attention right away when I first got here,
02:06you know what I'm saying?
02:08Being able to, you know, raise money to do what the Jimmy fund does is just, it's something
02:14that to me is very special.
