00:20And he notes Craig Breslow, and within this, he says, over the first 21 seasons this century,

00:26the Sox entered opening day with the top five payroll 20 times.

00:30The past four years, they've been sixth, eighth, 12th, and 12th.

00:35For reasons that have not been explained by an ownership group that for so long was regarded

00:40as one of the game's best, the Sox have spent the post-COVID era acting like a mid-market

00:45team, not one of the game's behemoths.

00:48And that's what we've all been saying.

00:50They have changed their philosophy.

00:53We've all seen it.

00:54They abhor the question because they don't know any other way to talk around it.

00:58And yet here they sit with a phenomenal start to the year, 49 and 40, Kassus coming back,

01:06you've four and two against the Yankees.

01:08You have gained, I believe, nine to 10 games against the Yankees in less than a month in

01:13the standings.

01:15This is the time.

01:16You get a starter, get an infielder, get a reliever, whatever you need.

01:21You have the capital and you can take the city again this fall.

01:27The Sox independent race in September will be a bigger story than Jacoby Brissett leading

01:32the Patriots.

01:34And it's all there for them and prove to us that you haven't changed and that you know

01:39where you are.

01:42They've won 16 of the last 22.

01:46They keep winning series against mediocre teams and against really, really good teams.

01:53They are a wild card team.

01:56And they appear to be, if you believe Buster only unsure, unsure, undecided, I think was

02:04the word he used about whether they're going to be buyers or sellers in a couple of weeks.
