Today, AD is welcomed by Lil Baby to tour his stylish bachelor pad in Atlanta. When the Grammy-nominated rapper moved into his home a couple of years ago it looked nothing like it does now. With the help of Georgia-based AD PRO Directory designer Annysa LaMantia, they worked together to create a stylish yet playful interior full of warmth and spacious areas for hosting. 00:00What's up AD and welcome to my bachelor pad.
00:15So this is my home, I purchased this house a couple of years ago and it looked nothing
00:20like this.
00:21I got my designer Anissa to come in and bring it to life, gutted the whole house out completely.
00:27Everything in the house I kind of designed to my liking.
00:30Growing up I always aspired to have like crazy houses, of course I'm from Atlanta and this
00:35house is in Atlanta.
00:36A lot of houses in Atlanta are not like this yet, they are building a lot of new houses
00:41but from where I'm from this is like a complete zero to a hundred.
00:46This is like my bachelor pad so I have company, some of the friends, some of my guys and I
00:50also have like little parties like you know Mother's Day, Father's Day, instead of renting
00:54out a place we just use this house for that.
00:56So cool little living space, on the rock sofas, I got on the rock sofas in all my houses.
01:02Kind of like these sofas because they're super comfortable and they're kind of low.
01:06You can move the middle part up and down, you can lay on it, a bed.
01:10I sleep a lot so this is where I catch a lot of Z's when I'm here.
01:15I wanted to keep the house open so if like people in the kitchen, people in the dining
01:19room, living room, shampoo, in the pool, wherever, everybody still feel together.
01:24Originally this whole area was outside, the wall maybe stopped from right here so I wanted
01:30them to open this up and expand it a little more.
01:33Put my nice pool table right here, nice little pieces of art.
01:37I love this room too because all the doors open all the way up so it gives me the whole
01:41little outside feel.
01:42A lot of gambling goes on on this table, pool and a lot of other things.
01:47All right, now we're in the kitchen.
01:54I love the double island setup because of nine or ten of us, we all would just sit here.
01:58The kitchen is almost a meeting area.
01:59I'm drinking, eating, I got leather countertops.
02:02I like the black vibe versus the traditional granite or marble.
02:06I wanted to go black because we do use it a lot and I don't want to stain it as much
02:10as possible.
02:11This is my bachelor pad so I don't cook here, I have a chef to come here and cook for us
02:16but sometimes when I don't have a chef, my kids want me to cook just something cool for
02:20us to do.
02:21The last thing I cook for my kids was maybe tacos last Tuesday, something like that.
02:25If I cook, it's going to be something cool, something for them, they can kind of help
02:28me out a little bit.
02:29I have a few art pieces, starting to get into it.
02:33This is a piece from a black Atlanta artist, Horace Impotel, kind of just give me the vibe
02:38of a little young black boy but in his eyes, he's dreaming for the stars.
02:42My favorite part of the kitchen would have to be like the Nonna windows, they open all
02:47the way up and it kind of gives you the whole inside, outside feeling.
02:55And you're having like a pool party or people outside, they don't have to track water in
03:01the house and stuff, they can come here and get their food from the chef, something to
03:04drink, whatever, mayhem.
03:06These are my panel refrigerators that match all my cabinets and whatnot.
03:12I don't really have a lot of stuff in here because we hardly ever here.
03:15Water, a little Gatorade, just the minor stuff.
03:18I'm big on water, I drink a lot of water.
03:28Lately I've been in my Miami crib, so I haven't been here that.
03:31The last time I was here was for my son's kindergarten graduation.
03:36He had a party with 30, 40 kids and my family came over.
03:39I like to have parties here.
03:41This is the dining room, which is not for dining, because I love these chairs so much
03:44and I don't want people to get comfortable just getting this dirty.
03:48So for now, this is just a statement piece.
03:50I have an Italian imported marble table from the Vitality collection and my designer actually
03:57came up with that.
03:58She designed this table one-on-one for me, so you won't see this table nowhere else.
04:02And she called it the Vitality because it looked like it has veins, like a human heart
04:06almost.
04:07And because they had to make the table, it took them an awful long time.
04:10I almost pulled the plug on the table and it just got me a new table.
04:14But once it arrived, it was worth the wait, definitely.
04:16I got the lights put in on the floor to resemble a rug.
04:20And right here we have the mirror panels from London.
04:24Each one was hand placed.
04:26I love this little setup.
04:31This is a little chill area.
04:33Mama chair.
04:34I have a few of these.
04:35I have a smaller one for my kids too.
04:38This is one of the places I can sit down and talk on the phone.
04:40Nobody don't sit over here but me.
04:48This is my primary wing.
04:50The glass doors on the closet.
04:52My two sons, Loyal and Jason.
04:54This is like an overflow closet.
04:55It's the summertime right now and these are all like winter clothes, pants.
04:59Whenever I run out of space in one of the other cribs or something, I just bring my
05:02overflow stuff here.
05:03I have a lot of significant pieces in here, I'm sure.
05:05This right here is actually an outfit that I wore on tour every night, my last tour.
05:10So eventually I'll frame this up and hang it.
05:13A couple jerseys from different little states I go to to perform and they give me jerseys.
05:18I like this closet setup though, I don't wear nothing in here.
05:20It looks great though.
05:22Sneaky closet.
05:24A lot of these shoes are shoes that I'm probably not going to wear again but I will
05:29wear these.
05:30They're the Yeezys.
05:32Not the only but one of the cool pieces in here.
05:36I used to bring my clothes when I come here to the point where the shoes are almost like
05:40art color coordinated.
05:42Just some little eye candy for when you walk in the bedroom.
05:45This is an infinity couch which is so soft it feels like a cloud.
05:49You can lay out on it, you know?
05:51Cool little vibe.
05:52This area, I really love the lighting here.
05:53I have the chain, sheer walls.
05:56A lot of stuff is like kind of art to me versus useful and this is one of those places that
06:00when I walk in it just looks super sexy to me.
06:04And this is where the magic happens at.
06:05I'm not here a lot so a lot of magic don't happen in here.
06:08Fireplace, nice TV.
06:09I like the wall fixture and I also love the ceiling.
06:12Kind of like a piece of jewelry imported from Italy.
06:15Nice little swing, you know?
06:18Ceiling joint.
06:19I actually sit here a lot though.
06:20This is like a cool little chill spot to me.
06:22I like to move, I don't like to sit still.
06:24So even when I'm sitting down I'm still moving.
06:26Magic can also happen right there too.
06:28This is my bathroom, which I think personally is one of the most stunning parts of the house.
06:37Everything's super clean.
06:38I got a nice hanging sink.
06:41I got a slit-centered marble for the water to go down.
06:46Keep a double sink, you know?
06:48It's out my way, I'm out your way type of thing.
06:50My tub, also imported from Italy.
06:53Weighs a couple tons.
06:55We actually had to get it lifted through the window for it to be able to go in here.
07:00Amazing tub.
07:01I haven't took a bath in here yet.
07:03One day I will though.
07:04And this is my shower, where I spend most of the time, believe it or not.
07:07The shower is where I can get a peace of mind, get my thoughts together.
07:12Think about how I'm gonna knock all this money out, you know?
07:15So I could easily spend an hour in the shower.
07:18Nice shower, big enough, very relaxing.
07:19I love the window vibe, little LED vibe.
07:22Everything's super cozy in here.
07:24And last but not least, I got the fireplace in the bathroom.
07:28I'm usually super cold when I get out, when I first wake up in the morning, I'm usually
07:32super cold.
07:33So I can come right here and check my messages or whatnot.
07:36I love this bathroom.
07:37I get a lot of inspiration from the bathroom and the houses.
07:41Being an artist and going to different places, I've stayed in a lot of hotels, a lot of Airbnbs.
07:45Then when I come home, I don't got that same feeling.
07:49So I wanted to have that same feeling when I go to the nicest places in the world, and
07:53how they bathrooms and how they houses look.
07:56I wanted to, you know, piggy out that a little bit.
08:01This is my theater room.
08:02I want it to be different from my other theaters.
08:05These little cubbies, you can have your own little personal space.
08:08You actually can, two people can fit on here.
08:10So you got your little date, I got y'all a little movie night.
08:13Y'all could be separate or y'all could be together.
08:15They also each have a little table, you know, like the movie theater.
08:18Popcorn machines and all that type of stuff in here.
08:20Sometimes I bring my portable studio where I could just like set it up right here.
08:25Just wrap it inside of here.
08:26I got these like movie script posters all around the room, but this one is the most
08:30significant to me.
08:31This is the documentary of my life called Untrapped.
08:35It's actually on Amazon Prime and you can go and see it.
08:38But that's the vibe of it when you come in, move with the air.
08:42Now I'm playing.
08:43Then we got a couple more.
08:44Juice Boyz in the Scarface.
08:46You know, got a little wet bar.
08:47I love candy.
08:49I'm always stocked full of candy everywhere.
08:51Little cooler.
08:52Nice little vibe.
08:59This is my backyard.
09:01My kids love swimming.
09:02They spend most of their time in the pool.
09:04Maybe I'll go for a swim today when I get my kids.
09:07Nice jacuzzi.
09:08Nice scent areas.
09:09I'm outside a lot.
09:10I do a lot of recreational things outside.
09:14This is my basketball court.
09:15We spend a lot of time on the basketball court.
09:18A little exercise.
09:19A little workouts.
09:21A lot of money's been made here.
09:24And lost.
09:25People don't think I can play basketball, but I actually ain't that bad.
09:30And I be having a lot of kids.
09:31My little nephew, them, they love basketball, cousins and stuff.
09:34So I wanted like three little hoops where everybody can use the whole court or use different
09:39courts or whatnot.
09:40This playground actually come from one of my old houses.
09:42In the future, I think I'll build me a gazebo over here or something.
09:46This is another part of the backyard.
09:47Of course, if you're going to have a bachelor pad, you got to have a grill.
09:50The chef comes and get on the grill.
09:52This is actually more of my outdoor kitchen, I like to call it.
09:56Little stove outside.
09:57Dining table.
09:58I love this area.
09:59One of the only places that you're going to get shade in the backyard, for real.
10:02So I definitely like this area.
10:03Take you a nap.
10:04The mosquitoes don't kill you.
10:06It's definitely like a center space for me.
10:08I can watch the kids while they're in the pool.
10:10Chef's in there.
10:11People need me.
10:12I can kind of sit right here.
10:13This is like a midpoint for me outside.
