00:08President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised that his administration will strengthen the support for the Filipino athletes.
00:17In his greeting to the Filipino athletes who fought in the Paris 2024 Olympics,
00:22the President praised and thanked the excellent performance of our countrymen.
00:26Despite the hardships and sacrifices of the athletes,
00:32they still gave their dedication to give glory to the country.
00:36The President also gave cash incentives to the athletes, as well as to their coaching staff.
00:42Meanwhile, President Marcos asked the athletes what else the government can do to help the sports industry.
00:52So, I ask all of you to tell us, what is it that you need?
00:59Where did you have a hard time during the training of our athletes?
01:04What can't you do to help us? You tell us.
01:08And hopefully, if we really work together and start to prepare for not only the Olympics,
01:16of course, that's a very important one, but not only the Olympics.
01:22The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources declared that the fish from Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Navotas, Paranaque and Las Piñas are safe to eat.
01:33This is based on the recent fish sampling and sensory evaluation
01:37conducted by the Department of Agriculture BFAR in areas affected by the oil spill.
01:42Fish samples from the Batangas Sea are also negative in terms of oil and fat.
01:45However, BFAR clarified that the fish and shellfish in Cavite Bay are not safe to eat.
01:54MT Terra Nova, MT Jason Bradley and MT MV Mirola will be able to swim in the Bataan Sea
