Ilang linggo pa lang ang nakararaan matapos manalasa ang Bagyong Carina at Habagat pero umaaray pa rin hanggang ngayon ang mga taga-Bataan at Cavite, partikular na ang mangingisda na naapektuhan din ng oil spill. Hinatiran sila ng tulong ng GMA Kapuso Foundation sa ilalim ng Operation Bayanihan.

00:09but the people of Bataan and Cavite are still suffering.

00:14In particular, the fishermen who were also affected by the oil spill.

00:18They were saved by the help of the Jimmy Capuso Foundation under Operation Bayanihan.

00:26Aside from the disaster of the typhoon Kareena and Abagat to the fishermen in Bataan,

00:32a new trial for them is the oil spill from Mt. Terranova.

00:43just like the typhoon that passed and it was followed by the barge that sank.

00:51Because of the fear of the buyers, the losses of fishermen like Raymundo are already big.

00:59It's a bit painful because last time there was no oil spill,

01:06it reached Php 200 to Php 250 per kilo.

01:10Now, almost half of it is gone.

01:12This is also what the residents of Cavite are suffering from,

01:17just like Najuvie, who is facing a double disaster.

01:21Abagat and Kareena destroyed their house,

01:24and also destroyed their place in the oil spill.

01:29We can't swim anymore. I don't know how to budget.

01:32It's hard because of the oil spill.

01:35Our boats are sinking and we can't sell our fish.

01:41The GMA Kapusu Foundation immediately contacted Limay Bataan and Rosario Cavite

01:46to deliver food packs for the 8,000 individuals affected by the oil spill.

01:54They can't really afford to fish,

01:58so their livelihood was affected,

02:01as well as the support they are giving to their families.
