00:09By the way, 12 teams will make the college football playoff this year.
00:12So Michael DeCorsi is going to have his hands full following college sports, following not
00:16just hoops, but football as well.

00:23And I can't tell you, I mean, as you can tell, I've been around for a while and I've been
00:28waiting basically my entire life for this college football season.
00:31I never believed in the pole system.
00:34I never believed in the 14 playoff or the BCS system.
00:39It's not about what I think.
00:42That's the fundamental nature of college football for my entire life.
00:47I think that so-and-so is better than so-and-so and that's how they decided a champion.
00:53Now, finally, it comes down to you basically have to win.
00:57You have to win to get in.
00:59Now they'll fill out the field with the at-large teams like every other college sport does.
01:06But if you win like Florida State did a year ago, they can't say no.
01:11And I feel bad for Florida State because they were like one year too early with their terrific
01:17undefeated team of a year ago.
01:19If that had happened in 2024, then a bunch of people in a room eating on the CFP dime
01:28couldn't have said no.
01:31They would have to be in.
01:32And so it's going to be really a wonderful college football season in many ways because
01:37of that, the best we've ever seen.
