00:00:10It is Monday Nitro.

00:00:12A capacity crowd is on hand in the capital city of the state of California,

00:00:17Sacramento.

00:00:19We are at the Artco Arena for

00:00:21two hours of the best of World Championship Wrestling.

00:00:26And we are live, our number one is up and running, and hi once again everyone.

00:00:33This is Tony Schiavone, along with the living legend, Larry Zabisco.

00:00:39And as always, we are gonna get right to the action as we are now

00:00:44one day removed from SuperBrawl 7 in San Francisco.

00:00:48As Public Enemy makes their way out,

00:00:52we are gonna show you how they won last night's Triangle Match.

00:00:58Let's take a look at the skills, courtesy of WCW Magazine.

00:01:03It was a struggle with Harlem Heat and the Public Enemy and the Faces of Fear.

00:01:10During the match, it seemed as if Harlem Heat had the advantage.

00:01:14As a matter of fact, later in that match,

00:01:17you can see the Faces of Fear getting advantage.

00:01:20But while the referee had his back turned, concerned with Harlem Heat,

00:01:24off comes the double team from Public Enemy.

00:01:27They get the one, two, three, and

00:01:29they win the Triangle Match last night, Larry Zabisco.

00:01:33That was a brutal encounter, but talk about unique tag team combinations.

00:01:37The opponents for the Public Enemy, Tony, Jeff Jarrett and Steve McMichaels.

00:01:42And what a story behind that combination.

00:01:45Larry, you're exactly right.

00:01:46It is nothing less than incredible the fact that we are going to have

00:01:50come through the entranceway here in just a few seconds,

00:01:52the duo of Steve Mongo McMichael and Jeff Jarrett.

00:01:57You hear the horseman music and

00:01:59this capacity crowd of the Arco Arena reacts to that.

00:02:02And I say incredible, and Larry,

00:02:04you kind of led into it because of what occurred last night.

00:02:07Let me say this, Jeff Jarrett is now a member of the Four Horsemen.

00:02:11You can see that they are paying no attention to each other at all.

00:02:15Let's go back last night, it happened at Super Brawl.

00:02:20Steve McMichael, of course, with his lovely wife Debra against Jeff Jarrett of

00:02:23the wanting-to-be of the Four Horsemen.

00:02:26And I tell you, early in the match,

00:02:28it was the power of Steve Mongo McMichael taking the advantage of Jeff Jarrett.

00:02:33But we could not discount the high flying ability of Jeff Jarrett.

00:02:37Later in the match, Steve wanted the briefcase from Debra.

00:02:41She threw it over her head into the ring.

00:02:44It wound up in the hands of Jeff Jarrett.

00:02:46He wins the match, and Jeff Jarrett becomes a member of the Four Horsemen.

00:02:50And I can only say, Larry, because of that,

00:02:53because they are now members of the horsemen together.

00:02:56And I guess you can say right now there are five horsemen, and

00:02:59that's why they are teaming together.

00:03:00But I don't think Mongo is too happy with this relationship right here.

00:03:03Well, that's why it's gonna be a unique situation.

00:03:05I can't wait to see what happens.

00:03:07There goes Jarrett with the Ric Flair Shuffle.

00:03:10But again, Lady Luck was smiling on Jeff Jarrett.

00:03:13Wasn't Debra McMichael's either.

00:03:15But you gotta give the guy credit.

00:03:17Jarrett wanted to be a horseman, and brother,

00:03:19he has been to a baptism of fire to get there.

00:03:23In this telecast, ladies and gentlemen,

00:03:25Dean Malenko will be here against the Ultimo Dragon.

00:03:27Diamond Dallas Page will be in action.

00:03:29Hacksaw Jim Duggan is with us.

00:03:31The Nature Boy Ric Flair is here.

00:03:33Ice Train, the big power man.

00:03:34The team of Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho will be in tag team action.

00:03:39And these two men, as you know, squared off last night for the US title.

00:03:43That Eddie Guerrero held on to.

00:03:46We did have some title changes last night to talk about.

00:03:50First of all, Six wins the cruiserweight belt.

00:03:52The Giant wins.

00:03:54Lex Luger and the Giant are the world tag team champions.

00:03:58And I also must tell you that it was nothing less than startling last night

00:04:04that Hulk Hogan retained the world heavyweight title.

00:04:07But as we saw and as we witnessed last night,

00:04:11Piper, the only man to beat Hogan not once, but twice.

00:04:15He put the man to sleep last night.

00:04:17But thanks to the actions, believe this or not,

00:04:20fans, of the Macho Man Randy Savage, Hogan holds on to the title.

00:04:25You know, it's even hard to believe you just said what I heard you say.

00:04:29But I've always said don't trust anybody.

00:04:31And again, Macho Man Savage, I think, shocked the world.

00:04:36Tony, not to mention what shocked Piper.

00:04:39The Macho Man, apparently a member of the New World Order.

00:04:42Look at apparently.

00:04:43Siding with Hollywood.

00:04:44We have a talk to him.

00:04:46Siding with Hollywood, Hulk Hogan.

00:04:47Yes, he is a member of the New World Order.

00:04:49Hogan's feet were under the ropes.

00:04:52The slipper hold was on.

00:04:53He was out.

00:04:54The referee had to restart the match.

00:04:56And the Macho Man hands him an object, an illegal object, to help him win.

00:05:01Hogan is the champion.

00:05:03There's a right hand from Johnny Grunge in this opening tag team bout here on

00:05:07Nitro.

00:05:07And a swinging neck breaker.

00:05:09Hey, Grunge putting on some movements, but he's wasting time.

00:05:12You gotta stay on Jarrett.

00:05:14I mean, Jarrett can go.

00:05:15He got up and that was Grunge's fault.

00:05:17Should never have let that happen.

00:05:19I think obvious here, Larry, you look at this tag team encounter we have.

00:05:21We have two men who have been teaming a long time, who trust each other.

00:05:26And two men completely the opposite.

00:05:28They don't trust each other.

00:05:29And this has to be, what, only maybe the second time they've been together?

00:05:33Yeah, and again, don't forget, Public Enemy brought that table out there.

00:05:37And again, it psychologically plays on your mind just to have that thing out

00:05:42there, cuz you know it's a bone breaking possibility.

00:05:52two hour telecast to show you the sights from a spectacular event last night

00:05:57at the Cal Palace in San Francisco.

00:06:00There's been a lot of talk.

00:06:01The phone lines literally have been jammed with the offices of WCW.

00:06:05Startled, shocked at what happened at the hands of the macho man,

00:06:09Randy Savage, last night.

00:06:11There's a leg drop.

00:06:13Hey, now, that was impressive.

00:06:14That was teamwork on the part of Jarrett and McMichael.

00:06:17So maybe they got their animosities aside.

00:06:21And maybe there's a little more respect there for each other.

00:06:23Maybe Flair and Anderson ironed out some differences.

00:06:27But that was nice teamwork cooperation right there.

00:06:30And I think you can safely say that Deborah McMichael is very happy

00:06:34about this union we're seeing with Mongo and Jeff Jarrett.

00:06:37You can not safely say anything when it comes to women.

00:06:40My profession.

00:06:41You can safely hide your charge cards.

00:06:44I love to hear you talk, Larry, but I'd like to hear what she has to say, too.

00:06:47And she's just a little bit better looking than you are.

00:06:50There's a drop over the top of the head of Rocco Rock,

00:06:54who's down face first now to the canvas.

00:06:57Rocco's in trouble.

00:06:58Jarrett's got enough experience.

00:06:59Didn't he capitalize on it?

00:07:19And this time, it was almost like a clip got him from behind.

00:07:25And he goes to the attack once again.

00:07:27Steve McMichael, former All-Pro, has the potential

00:07:30to be one of the most dominant men this sport's ever seen.

00:07:32Well, he's a big explosive guy.

00:07:34He's a natural athlete.

00:07:35Again, if anybody knows how to clip your knee, it's Steve McMichael.

00:07:38And for a man that big with that explosiveness, just a hard man to stop.

00:07:44Again, Jarrett, a little smart.

00:07:45He uses more signs, but Steve just runs you over.

00:07:48Needless to say, last night's win, the biggest one in Jeff Jarrett's career.

00:07:51Look at this.

00:07:52He picks up Rocco Rock.

00:07:54Great balance that time.

00:07:56Big power bomb, but a save from Johnny Grudge.

00:08:00Mickey J, the referee in the opening match.

00:08:02Here comes the Halliburton.

00:08:04Here comes the breakdance.

00:08:06Steve McMichael.

00:08:07What's he doing?

00:08:08Oh, and Jarrett.

00:08:10Oh, and wounds.

00:08:12The pair will never heal.

00:08:13This one's over.

00:08:14That was very obvious.

00:08:19That was blatant.

00:08:20He nailed his partner.

00:08:22And he's not going to forget what happened last night, as you can see.

00:08:26Steve McMichael helps Public Enemy to their second big win in as many nights.

00:08:32And he must answer to the beautiful lady right now.

00:08:36I don't know.

00:08:37I don't think he might answer to anybody.

00:08:39Steve McMichael is just not going to accept Jarrett in the four horsemen.

00:08:44And that's on their two.

00:08:45There's the enforcer, Arn Anderson.

00:08:48And he doesn't look happy at all.

00:09:04Tony, I don't know what to make of all of this.

00:09:07Steve, a little brouhaha, a little argument here between you and your partner.

00:09:11What were you trying to prove by hitting your partner over the head with that?

00:09:15Everybody saw what he did to me last night at the Super Brawl.

00:09:19Do you think that was right?

00:09:21Okay, he got the one, two, three on me.

00:09:24I've got to welcome him into the four horsemen family.

00:09:28But let me tell you one thing.

00:10:18was fortunate enough to get his hand raised, he was in.

00:10:33For 11 years, 11 years, brother, you know why they went like this?

00:10:37Because we earned the respect.

00:10:40We were the horsemen, brother.

00:10:44Arne Anderson, you've been around.

00:10:47The task at hand right now is showing everybody here and

00:10:53out there why we have been the symbol of excellence.

00:10:58Solidarity is what you're looking for.

00:11:00Jarrett, just wait a minute and listen up.

00:11:03And you listen up, too, Mongo.

00:11:04I don't think you people seem to get it.

00:11:08The dungeon's getting stronger.

00:11:10The NWO's getting stronger.

00:11:13Now, the Giant and Luger have aligned themselves, and

00:11:16the horsemen are getting weaker.

00:11:18Flair's not well, I'm hurting, Chris Benoit may never be back.

00:11:25He's in the hospital right now.

00:11:27If you don't get it and you don't get it,

00:11:29you're the only two members of the horsemen that are healthy.

00:11:33So now, you earned this spot.

00:11:35Mongo, he earned this spot.

00:12:18The horsemen, I guess you can say they're together.

00:12:21I'm not sure, but it was a good point

00:12:23brought up by Arne Anderson there.

00:12:25The horsemen right now, many people could say,

00:12:27are at their weakest point.

00:12:29Benoit in the hospital.

00:12:30We're gonna show you the stills later on

00:12:32how Benoit was taken away last night,

00:12:35as well as the Taskmaster and Miss Jacqueline.

00:12:37Arne's not 100%, Ric Flair's not 100%.

00:12:40It's up to Mongo and Jeff Jarrett.

00:12:42Well, you can see obviously the injuries

00:12:43have infiltrated the four horsemen,

00:12:45but I don't know, Tony, when it's up to Mongo and Jarrett,

00:12:48you're talking about two guys

00:12:49that I don't think are gonna get along

00:12:51no matter how much influence Ric Flair has

00:12:54or no matter how much say Arne Anderson has.

00:12:57We're dealing with personalities,

00:12:59and I think we may be dealing

00:13:00with the beginning of the end of the four horsemen.

00:13:02That's a very good point.

00:13:03The horsemen have always been a solid unit,

00:13:05but Mongo brought up a big point that I can hit you,

00:13:08but no one else can.

00:13:10The horsemen have always watched each other's back.

00:13:44and one of the top superstars in the NBA.

00:13:48And it's good to be bringing you Nitro

00:13:51from the Arco Arena here at Sacramento Galaxy,

00:13:54one of the superstars from Mexico.

00:13:58And we're gonna have a great time

00:14:00One of the superstars from Mexico

00:14:03making his way to the ring here.

00:14:05This is gonna be a classic USA versus Mexico battle.

00:14:08Larry, I can't help but continue to think about,

00:14:11and it went over and over my mind last night,

00:14:13you know, emotion, passion,

00:14:17it's the part of the makeup of professional wrestlers.

00:14:19It's the part of the makeup of our sport, of the fans.

00:14:22It was running rampant last night on many accounts,

00:14:25and I can only feel for Rowdy Roddy Piper

00:14:28as he brought all that emotion into the ring last night,

00:14:30only to see that the macho man, Randy Savage,

00:14:36had a hand, a devinant hand, the main hand,

00:14:40into what happened to Hollywood Hulk Hogan,

00:14:42helping Hogan retain the world title.

00:14:45You know, there used to be a predictability

00:14:47about professionalism.

00:14:48We were in it for the money.

00:14:50I mean, I broke every rule in the book,

00:14:51but I did it as a professional for money.

00:14:55Something's different.

00:14:55The New World Order has brought a low life,

00:15:01you know, common denominator that involved,

00:15:04that even took the soul of Macho Man Savage,

00:15:07and again, if a guy like Macho Man can be bought,

00:15:11you can't trust anybody.

00:15:13You know, I don't necessarily like to speculate

00:15:15on why this happened,

00:15:17and why the Macho Man did what he did last night.

00:15:20He has always been of a different breed and a rebel,

00:15:23but I have to go back and think about

00:15:24when we were at the United Center in Chicago,

00:15:28and the Macho Man, Randy Savage,

00:15:30this was back in January, made his appearance,

00:15:32his first appearance since the month of October,

00:15:36and since Slim Jim's Halloween Havoc,

00:15:38that the Macho Man said, I'm getting blackballed.

00:15:41They are not letting me back into this sport that I love,

00:15:44and I think maybe he saw that there was a dead end there,

00:15:47and then Eric Bischoff basically said,

00:15:48you wanna come back in the ring?

00:15:50There's only one way,

00:15:51and that's to join the New World Order,

00:15:54and I think Savage saw, as the old cliche goes,

00:15:57the handwriting on the wall there.

00:15:58Well, you know, it's just sad to see,

00:16:00but here's a man that had guts,

00:16:03that was an individual that sold his soul, Tony,

00:16:06and became nothing more than another rat

00:16:10following around Hulk Hogan.

00:16:12And that's the point.

00:16:14They all protect Hollywood Hulk Hogan.

00:16:17They all should realize what is going on,

00:16:19but that's their call, that's what they wanna do,

00:16:21and you've seen the big man, Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

00:16:24Here's a man wearing the colors on his boots

00:16:26and his knee pads of WCW, the purple and gold,

00:16:30and he is going right after Galaxy here.

00:16:32Yeah, he just bounced him off that pole again.

00:16:35Contrasting styles, and Galaxy hasn't figured it out yet.

00:16:38You do not wanna run into Hacksaw.

00:16:41I mean, talk about proof of evolution

00:16:44if you believe in that sort of thing.

00:16:46Hacksaw Duggan, perfect Neanderthalic human being.

00:16:50Scott Dickinson, the referee,

00:16:51warning Duggan to get him back in the ring,

00:16:54and Duggan, who draws the emotion

00:16:56we've been talking about from the fans,

00:16:58I think he may have pulled back the mat

00:17:01there right below the ring,

00:17:02and now there's a cardinal mistake

00:17:04to throw your opponent back in the ring,

00:17:06thus taking your eyes off of him,

00:17:08and Galaxy trying to, but look,

00:17:10Duggan is just absorbing these blows here.

00:17:12You see, Duggan makes one mistake after another,

00:17:14but he's so big and thick he can get away with it,

00:17:17and Galaxy has approached it entirely wrong.

00:17:20I mean, take the man down, get behind him,

00:17:22but don't play fist to cuffs with Hacksaw,

00:17:26because you will not out-punch this man.

00:17:29You know, and I think we are seeing

00:17:30a little bit tougher demeanor,

00:17:32aggressive demeanor from Hacksaw Jim Duggan,

00:17:34and I may venture to guess

00:17:36that it's because of what happened last night.

00:17:38It shocked everyone, but there is no denying,

00:17:41and fans, when you see the encore presentation

00:17:44of Super Brawl VII, you will know yourself

00:17:47that Piper won, he put him out,

00:17:49he put him asleep again.

00:17:51Unfortunately, the feet were under the ropes,

00:17:53and the macho man was there with the feet,

00:17:56with the foreign object.

00:17:58Oh, it's mind-boggling how they continue

00:18:02to hold on to titles.

00:18:03I can't believe it, and I saw it.

00:18:06A reversal into the corner, up on top is Galaxy,

00:18:10trying to moonsault.

00:18:12Hey, Duggan's getting smarter, he moved out of the way.

00:18:17You know, Duggan's probably got the kind of mentality

00:18:19that probably one of the only guys around here

00:18:21you can trust.

00:18:24Duggan comes up with the tape.

00:18:27Foreign object.

00:18:30Hogan!

00:18:32Hogan is what he screamed.

00:18:35Isn't that five yards?

00:18:36And he reached all the way back

00:18:38to Berkeley on that one. SWO!

00:18:40Come on!

00:18:43Duggan is your winner.

00:18:47And I don't think there was any doubt about that.

00:18:49A big win for a big guy.

00:18:51Galaxy ran into a brick wall that time.

00:18:54Hexaw is a man you gotta go with the science.

00:18:57You will not out-physical this man.

00:19:01This guy, he's a brick house, brother.

00:19:05All right, the replay, here it comes, Larry.

00:19:08Hexaw just had him set up, nailed him over 300 pounds,

00:19:12arms like tree trunks.

00:19:14Here, I don't know what he's thinking.

00:19:15He doesn't need to pull tape out of his tights,

00:19:18but no one knows what goes on

00:19:20between the ears of Hexaw.

00:19:22I certainly can't figure it out.

00:29:42against Chris Benoit and Woman.

00:29:44Last night, it was wild.

00:29:45As a matter of fact, many times,

00:29:46as you can see, Woman beating on Sullivan,

00:29:48Jacqueline just pounding away on Chris Benoit.

00:29:51One time during the night,

00:29:52the ladies clotheslined the men with the strap.

00:29:55I think a little misdirection play that time

00:29:57from the ladies, but it was wild.

00:29:59The match, as anticipated,

00:30:00went in the back of the Cow Palace.

00:30:03Kevin Sullivan got an advantage

00:30:05when they went back in the ring with his double stomp,

00:30:07but then Sullivan was put down by the pile driver.

00:30:10Jacqueline tried to get to him.

00:30:11Woman tried to delay that,

00:30:13but Jacqueline laid on top

00:30:15of the Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan.

00:30:17Off comes Benoit and he's put them both on a table

00:30:20and all three seriously injured.

00:30:22The EMTs came out, Sullivan taken away,

00:30:24Miss Jacqueline taken away,

00:30:26Benoit and another ambulance last night.

00:30:28There you see as they were reaching for each other,

00:30:30Miss Jacqueline and the Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan.

00:30:34they are still in the hospital, all three.

00:30:36We do hope because they are great competitors.

00:30:40You may like Kevin Sullivan, you may hate him,

00:30:43you may hate Benoit, but you can't deny

00:30:46they are two of the greatest competitors

00:30:48And that is evidence, Larry,

00:30:50how two great competitors can let emotion run away.

00:31:19That match I'm talking about,

00:31:20one of the most bizarre matches,

00:31:22but one of the most physical matches

00:31:23and something that we've come to expect

00:31:25in this brutal feud, if you like to use that term,

00:31:28or battle, or difference that Kevin Sullivan

00:31:32and Chris Benoit have had over the past month.

00:31:36I mean, you can go all the way back.

00:31:37It's almost been a year now.

00:31:39If you go back to the Great American Bash

00:31:41in Baltimore last year,

00:31:43that's when it kind of all started.

00:31:45And of course it's...

00:31:47I still don't think it's finished.

00:31:49I don't think it is either.

00:31:50Sullivan does not forgive and forget.

00:31:52And Benoit, this man's a fighter.

00:31:54And we'll see what happens when they get out of the hospital.

00:31:58Someone's gonna have to pay those bills.

00:32:03that Ms. Jacqueline has towards the Taskmaster,

00:33:26biggest arms I've ever seen in my life

00:33:28and a man with proportion to his body.

00:33:31And Ice Train, this man can move if he gets up.

00:33:35He got nailed.

00:33:36Got nailed by La Parca.

00:33:37La Parca with a lateral press, got a one.

00:33:40There's the power of the big guy just kicking out.

00:33:43You know, Ice Train realized that his career

00:33:45was really going nowhere a couple of years ago.

00:33:48He came into this sport, then he took a sabbatical.

00:33:51He came back after training at the power plant,

00:33:54really increased his repertoire.

00:33:57And then took Teddy Long as his coach,

00:33:59his manager, his leader.

00:34:02And since that time, the man has been on a roll, Larry.

00:34:05Well, a lot of these young guys,

00:34:06you know, they have the ability,

00:34:07they need time and they need guidance.

00:34:09High voltage, I think is a perfect example

00:34:11of a young team that has potential

00:34:14that could use management.

00:34:15Ice Train here, big, strong guy.

00:34:18He's got a future.

00:34:19And again, with Teddy Long's got the political connections,

00:34:22but if Long keeps making those comments

00:34:25directed to antagonize the Dungeon of Doom,

00:34:29Ice Train might find himself

00:34:30with a bigger battle on his hands than La Parca.

00:34:36you're not gonna find a bigger battle

00:34:37than we witnessed last night with Piper and Hogan.

00:34:40There is no denying that Piper put the man to sleep.

00:34:43He has defeated, he has beat Hulk Hogan,

00:34:45not once, but twice.

00:34:47The unfortunate result is that the macho man was there.

00:34:51The macho man pulled Hogan's foot under the ropes.

00:34:53The referee had to restart the match.

00:34:55Okay, come on, get focused.

00:34:57He hit the step again.

00:34:58There is the leader right there, Teddy Long.

00:35:00He handed Hogan an object

00:35:03and Hogan cracks Piper with it.

00:45:02even though it was one-on-two in a handicap match.

00:45:07Well, bodies, but size-wise, it was fair.

00:45:13One could go there, I guess.

00:45:18Jarrett goes close, he's gotta make it.

00:45:20He's taken a lot of punishment, though, Larry,

00:47:07We'll see it again, but Malenko obviously upset

00:47:10what happened last night.

00:47:12Saw his opportunity and took advantage of it.

00:47:16Jericho and Guerrero are putting together a lot of movement.

00:47:19Right here, Ming reverses it,

00:47:21but the Barbarian caught him right in the kidney.

00:47:23Ming dumps him on the back of the neck.

00:47:28But right here when Guerrero got his chance,

00:48:17and we still have later on in this hour,

00:48:21Lex Luger and the Giant,

00:48:22the new World Tag Team Champions

00:48:24against Harlem Heat for the belts.

00:48:25Iron Mike today, Bobby the Brain hee-ing in,

00:48:27and Mike today.

00:48:29In my mind, in the mind of many fans,

00:48:31Piper is the champion.

00:48:33He put him out, he put him to sleep.

00:48:34But there was one factor none of us expected,

00:48:37and that was the Macho Man Randy Savage last night.

00:48:39Well Tony, just when we think we have the answers,

00:48:42the new world order changes the questions.

00:48:45I was convinced that the Macho Man Randy Savage

00:48:48was not as excited with Sting against the new world order

00:48:51until that shocking turn of events

00:48:52last night at Super Brawl.

00:48:53That's a good point.

00:48:54We still don't know where Sting stands.

00:48:56But the fact is that Hogan still has the belt.

00:48:58Well the fact is, Hogan's a very, very lucky man.

00:49:01He was almost put to sleep by Piper.

00:49:02Everyone saw that.

00:49:03I think he was out.

00:49:04I think the referee should have stopped

00:49:06the match and awarded him the title there.

00:49:07But that didn't happen.

00:49:08You're right about Sting.

00:49:09I don't know where he stands,

00:49:11but I think we all know pretty well where Savage stands.

00:49:13Fans, if you joined us during hour number one,

00:49:16you saw some startling events.

00:49:17As a matter of fact, let's take you back to the footage now

00:49:20from hour number one, where the horsemen came out together.

00:49:23Surprisingly enough, it was Jeff Jarrett

00:49:26and Steve Mungo McMichael against Public Enemy.

00:49:30During the course of this match,

00:49:33Steve McMichael asked for the briefcase from Debra.

00:49:36We all thought he was going to hit Public Enemy,

00:49:38but then, bam, as Larry Zbyszko would say,

00:49:44he nails Jeff Jarrett.

00:49:45Public Enemy gets the win.

00:49:48An argument ensued, but I think we can all realize

00:49:52what Ric Flair had to say.

00:49:53And what Flair had to say was,

00:49:55hey, the horsemen are down.

00:49:57Benoit is now in the hospital.

00:49:58These two guys we're seeing right now, Mike,

00:50:00are the only two members of the horsemen that can wrestle.

00:50:03Well, I think it was a case of payback

00:50:05for Steve Mungo McMichael after last night at SuperBrawl.

00:50:08But I think the four horsemen

00:50:10all want to be on that same page,

00:50:11all looking for that solidarity.

00:50:14And we saw an interview at the conclusion of that matchup

00:50:16where Flair and Arn Anderson tried to get these two

00:50:19back together again with that handshake.

00:50:21Okay, that was fans, of course, in hour number one.

00:50:24And now we're number two off and running.

00:50:26Still to come, the World Television Champion,

00:50:28Prince Aokiya, will be here.

00:50:29Dean Malenko, a man who got involved

00:50:31in the preceding match against the Ultimo Dragon.

00:50:34And as we said before, Harlem Heat

00:50:37against Lex Luke and the Giant in this second hour.

00:50:41And here comes Juventud Guerrero.

00:50:44And he'll face Ray Mysterio Jr.,

00:50:46two of the great athletes that we have seen

00:50:48over the past year from Mexico.

00:50:51And you must admit, Mike,

00:50:52they have really been a factor and a force.

00:50:55And it's been great for the fans

00:50:56to see these superstars from Mexico here.

00:50:58Well, these two intense rivals from south of the border

00:51:01bring this great feud to WCW.

00:51:04And just the addition of all the stars from Mexico

00:51:07has really added to the talent depth,

00:51:10the talent roster here at World Championship Wrestling.

00:51:12And that's what keeps this organization number one.

00:51:15And this Mysterio, he's been pretty well banged up lately,

00:51:19but he keeps coming out.

00:51:20He gives 100%, he comes off that top rope,

00:51:22second, third rope,

00:51:23but there were 20 ropes he'd come off of.

00:51:25Well, we were seeing last night, he was able to adapt.

00:51:28With that recent knee injury,

00:51:29he may not have all of the incredible high-risk moves

00:51:32that he's had before, but he's really picked it up

00:51:34with a great mat technique, great mat game.

00:51:38And he's gonna need both the high-risk moves

00:51:39and the mat game against Juventud Guerrera.

00:51:42And I think many people were shocked,

00:51:44and this is certainly not a slight

00:51:45on the television champ, Prince Iakea,

00:51:47but shocked that Mysterio did not come away with the belt

00:51:50because he certainly has more ring time

00:51:52than Prince Iakea does.

00:51:54But the fact is, and we're gonna show the fans

00:51:56a little bit later on,

00:51:57that Lord Steven Regal got involved in that match.

00:51:59And I'm gonna say the same thing as I said last night,

00:52:01I think Regal did that because he feels, Regal,

00:52:05that he can defeat Iakea.

00:52:07And not Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:52:10You really think he thinks

00:52:11he can't defeat Rey Mysterio Jr.?

00:52:13No question about that.

00:52:13Well, he's mad because Mysterio cost him the title.

00:52:15He came up that aisle and stuck his nose

00:52:17where it didn't belong.

00:52:18Look at this.

00:52:20The case of sour grapes, in my opinion,

00:52:22on the part of Regal last night,

00:52:23preventing Rey Mysterio Jr., oh!

00:52:26Spiked him with the DDT.

00:52:27How about that move by Juventud Guerrera now?

00:52:32Waiting on Mysterio to get up.

00:52:34Great sense of anticipation there.

00:52:36Oh, that's a tremendous maneuver.

00:52:38You know, no one uses the ropes for added leverage

00:52:41or added spring, as you say, Mike, a springboard

00:52:44than these athletes from south of the border.

00:52:46They live up there.

00:52:47Well, that's why a knee injury to Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:52:50at this point in his career

00:52:51really limits what he can do offensively.

00:52:54But as we saw last night at Super Brawl

00:52:57against Prince Iakea,

00:52:58he was still able to come up with a tremendous performance.

00:53:01The most resilient performer in WCW today.

00:53:04No question about it.

00:53:05I think what they got going on their side

00:53:06more than anything is the conditioning they're in

00:53:07and their youth.

00:53:09Absolutely.

00:53:1022 years old for Rey Mysterio Jr.

00:53:1321 for Juventud Guerrera,

00:53:15which translates appropriately enough to youth warrior.

00:53:19One, two.

00:53:19One, you got shorts that old.

00:53:22Well, maybe I do.

00:53:24Maybe you don't.

00:53:25And up to the top again.

00:53:27Not only that, they're so young,

00:53:28but they've been wrestling many, many years, Mike.

00:53:30Well, eight years almost now for Rey Jr.

00:53:33and Juventud Guerrera in his fifth.

00:53:34Wow.

00:53:36A chop down into the midsection.

00:53:40You know, they really adapt to WCW style of wrestling.

00:53:43Plus they keep their Mexican style of wrestling too.

00:53:46Yeah, I think it makes them dangerous.

00:53:47I think a good wrestler will always use his style

00:53:50to try to win matches,

00:53:51regardless of what the opponent will do.

00:53:53We've seen that so many times in so many matches.

00:54:01these great Mexican wrestlers,

00:54:02they have made this cruiserweight division

00:54:04one of the top divisions in the world.

00:54:13That's apparent.

00:54:14He's thinking about Eddie Guerrero.

00:54:21in the cruiserweight ranks.

00:54:22That would have been so important last week,

00:54:24getting a win and gaining that World Heavyweight TV title.

00:54:33You know, it's very dangerous

00:54:34doing those high-risk moves wearing a mask.

00:54:40You think your opponent's laying in one spot.

00:54:43Next minute, you can be on the cement floor as a stamp.

00:54:45And of course, your peripheral vision

00:54:46is always limited when you wear the mask.

00:54:49And if the mask would happen to slip also,

00:54:51that obviously could cause problems

00:54:54with those high-risk moves.

00:54:55And you should know.

00:54:56I've seen a lot of magazines

00:54:56where your picture's in it with a mask on.

00:54:58That's not a mask.

01:02:16What we saw right there was a little rookie mistake,

01:02:21but he allowed Tanaka to get back up.

01:02:23And as a result, Tanaka sends him down.

01:02:26A lack of inexperience.

01:02:27That's what it was.

01:05:26And there was a little bit of payback time

01:05:28that we saw earlier in this telecast.

01:05:30Ultimo Dragon, the former J-Crown champion,

01:05:34and the former WCW cruiserweight champion,

01:05:36will face this man, Mr. Intensity,

01:05:40Mr. Focus, Dean Malenko.

01:05:42Almost have to treat this, I think,

01:05:44as a number one contenders matchup,

01:05:46now that, and I hate to say it,

01:05:48the NWO6 has the cruiserweight strap.

01:05:52Last night, here's how 6 won the cruiserweight strap.

01:05:55Let's go back to Super Brawl VII last night.

01:05:586, of course, came in with the belt,

01:06:00even though Dean Malenko came in as the champion,

01:06:03and it was a tremendous matchup.

01:06:06before the opening bell, took the fight right to 6.
