00:00Gentlemen, receive my information for the fight.
00:02I want a clean fight.
00:03I'll be in my command all the time.
00:04Touchdown.
00:09Ready?
00:11Fight.
00:12Fight.
00:13Jihai Tucker, young man who is coming off of a dominant win
00:18against Quincy LaVallee at the MSG Theater on June 8.
00:21Dazed him in round one.
00:22Broke him down.
00:23Part one of his most dominant performances in a long time.
00:28Yeah, I just can't help it.
00:30But just seeing the glasses and I noticed this thing.
00:33But also the jewelry around his neck.
00:36I felt like borrowing it just for a split second with the jewelry I got on my hands and the necklace.
00:41Boy, I look like Magic Don Juan without the pimp.
00:44You would look like Mr. T without the hair.
00:48Yeah.
00:50You know, that should be a rule, man.
00:52If you ain't got a house paid off, you can't be buying that kind of jewelry.
00:58But anyways, let me get to Jihai Tucker.
01:02Jihai is starting to grow on me, man.
01:05He has some fundamental habits.
01:07However, he has good hand speed.
01:09Good combinations.
01:12Decent punching power.
01:14He's young.
01:18You saw the variation right there.
01:19You saw the uppercut up the middle.
01:20Good boxer, man.
01:22And I hear he's probably one of the hardest working fighters in the business today.
01:28You can't keep him out of the gym.
01:30He's always in the gym working.
01:32And he's always getting great sparring.
01:34And you see how sharp he's been up late after that skid of going 0-1-1 against Nicolas Flaz in July of 2023.
01:42Suffering his first loss in a majority decision.
01:44And then a majority draw against a Argentine, Francisco Veron, in Florida in December of 2023.
01:52Turning around against Quincy Lavallee and he says,
01:54Look man, I'm about domination nowadays.
01:56That's the one thing that when you guys watch me, I want you to look out for.
02:00How I'm dominating my opponents.
02:02Good defense right there on the inside.
02:08Jihai looking real comfortable.
02:10And his body is starting to fill out.
02:12You know, he's young.
02:14Very young fighter.
02:1521 years old.
02:16But man, he's starting to put on that weight.
02:18You're starting to see the muscles starting to show up.
02:21Getting that man strength starting to build up.
02:23I mean, we saw him debut against DeAndre Anderson with a first round knockout at 17 years old.
02:29Inside the bubble, Tim.
02:31I mean, like you said, he's only 21.
02:33The sky's the limit.
02:35You can tell he's definitely maturing.
02:37And he's probably going to pan out around 168 pounds, I believe.
02:44This is his second fight at middleweight.
02:46He was campaigning at junior middleweight, 154.
02:51So I'll put his hands behind his back for a second.
02:53And then land that left hook on Fernandez.
02:55Now a right hand.
02:57He has great timing.
02:59Great timing on his shots.
03:01You know, and he's able to transition and move his body.
03:03He's very athletic.
03:05The thing with Jihai is he's got to focus.
03:08If he's focused in there like he has been since his last fight and he's looking right now.
03:12Different fighter.
03:14Very cerebral.
03:15Very gifted, talented, and quick.
03:18And you see the product there.
03:20That landed left hook on Fernandez.
03:26Good opening round for Jihai Tucker.
03:28We'll listen in to his father, Makonnen, in the corner.
03:32The jab went away a little bit, but here's the problem now.
03:34Don't start none of them toughness until they actually have the fight under control.
03:37Right? The focus has to be there.
03:39Defense, but you're looking good.
03:41Don't give him nothing.
03:42He may have landed one, but don't even catch the block.
03:44Don't wait until he pushes all the way to the rope to start moving.
03:48Turn around, turn around.
03:50You look good. Breathe.
03:52More down stairs jabbing.
03:54Come right back up stairs.
03:56Don't let down stairs jabbing come back up stairs.
03:58And when you step over, stay in place.
04:00I like your patience.
04:02But when you get him on the rope, you can't wait for him to slide him off the rope.
04:04Don't let him off the rope.
04:06You cut him off, keep him there.
04:10You don't purposefully let him off the rope.
04:13Right. Hear me?
04:17Slide your feet off the line when you land that down stairs jab.
04:19Hear me?
04:21Much better though.
04:25ESPN and ESPN Plus enhanced ringside coverage.
04:29We'll leave you with the sights and sounds of the ring.
04:31You'll hear the punches, the referee.
04:33Makan and Tucker in Jahai's corner without the announcer commentary.
04:36But International Nevada Boxing Hall of Famer Tim Bradley will give you an analysis in between rounds.
04:43There you go.
04:45Keep him right. There you go.
04:47Come back with that jab.
04:51Oh, I see the left every time and I see the right.
04:53Oh, that's your body.
04:55That's your body.
04:57Body don't move, remember.
05:09Don't pull out. Right.
05:11Hands up back.
05:13Remember to use that shoulder to lift off them hands.
05:15Come on.
05:17Good. Good.
05:19There you go.
05:21Look for the body check.
05:27Watch your head. Watch your head.
05:33When you go downstairs, bring that left hand up.
05:37Right.
05:40Don't give him no gap.
05:43Don't give him no gap. You heard it.
05:47Nice short right hand.
05:49And don't forget the speed up top, baby.
05:51And touch right in the body. There you go.
05:53Now I like how the jab working. There you go.
05:55You stay with that. It's all night.
05:57A championship jab, my boy.
06:04There you go. Off the ropes.
06:06Good.
06:09Good.
06:11There you go.
06:13I like that.
06:15You live like that.
06:17I live with you forever, boy.
06:19Come on.
06:21Don't forget to use it, though.
06:23You fight it so many times.
06:25There you go.
06:27Double that up.
06:29Oh, yeah.
06:31Good.
06:33Now he's getting wide, so look at the rope punches.
06:36Walking into it.
06:40Walking right into it.
06:46Good move, though. I like it.
06:48Level changes, boy.
06:50Level changes, boy. There you go.
06:54I see it, yeah?
06:56Don't be gun-shy.
06:58Don't pull out.
07:06That's it, Zagat.
07:11Switch it up.
07:13All right. There you go.
07:15All right. You touch that body.
07:19I like the pace. Don't stay there for that.
07:25You're going to lead him. Lead him.
07:27You're going to lead him. Lead him.
07:29That's right.
07:32Time!
07:38All right, Tim.
07:40What did you see there in the second round?
07:42Good combinations.
07:44Great combinations.
07:46Getting off in angles.
07:48One of the things that I want everybody to pay attention to
07:50is when he's shooting those combinations,
07:52just look at the opposite hand while he's down.
07:54Those are moments.
07:56See, he's the type of fighter that depends on reflexes.
07:58And sooner or later,
08:01somebody's going to time him perfectly.
08:03When one hand is down, the opposite got to be up.
08:05You know what I'm saying?
08:07So I just want to bring that to attention right now.
08:09He's young. He's still growing as a fighter.
08:11Still coming into his own.
08:17But when one hand goes,
08:19the opposite hand has to go up,
08:21especially when you're throwing combinations.
08:23You're going to get a guy that's going to be able to punch
08:25in between shots, and he's going to time you perfectly
08:27right on the money, and you will go down.
08:31We'll continue with our enhanced ESPN Plus ringside coverage.
08:35You hear the punches of the referee
08:37and that beautiful Jamaican accent
08:39of Makonnen Tucker
08:41or his son Jahai.
08:49That's right.
08:51That's right.
08:53Don't go away from that.
08:55Once you get the rhythm, you got to land it.
08:58That's right.
09:00If the hand's all the way up,
09:02that means the body's wide open, baby.
09:04See, you're right.
09:06Don't stay there for that.
09:12No.
09:14You're right.
09:20Good hands up.
09:22Very good. Defensively aware.
09:24I like that. Move that head.
09:27There you go.
09:29Look for the body after.
09:45Right.
09:47Oh, I like it.
09:49Oh, I like the fence.
09:51Good. I like the fence.
09:53Use the elbow.
09:56Good head off the line.
09:58Great head off the line.
10:00Body.
10:02Don't pull up.
10:04Double.
10:06Double.
10:08I like the jab, though.
10:14Give me some of that Robinson, baby.
10:16Come on, baby. Double.
10:22Hands out. Hands out.
10:25Let's go. There you go.
10:27I like the switch up.
10:29That's right.
10:31Don't stay there.
10:40Round the corner.
10:42Body.
10:44Look for the body.
10:46Jab. Come on, baby.
10:48It's only there.
10:50Pause.
10:52Let's go, baby.
10:54Nice. I like that.
10:56Should have followed up with the jab, though.
10:58One ain't good enough.
11:04Smart man.
11:06A good man, Rob would say.
11:08Give me an email sometimes.
11:14Roll that punch. Are you done, champ?
11:16Let's go.
11:19I like the switch up.
11:21Body.
11:23Do it again.
11:25Give me the body after.
11:27Body again.
11:29Body again.
11:31Body again, champ.
11:33Body, champ.
11:41Three rounds in the books.
11:43Solid performance from Jahai Tucker
11:45against Santiago Fernandez.
11:48What I like is how he's controlling the space
11:50early on.
11:52Just with those little flicks right there.
11:54Nothing don't have to land.
11:56Just controlling the space right there.
11:58Soft control.
12:00Giving his opposition something to look at.
12:02Then he can turn that jab into a solid jab.
12:04See how he throws it there?
12:06Change the speed up.
12:08That's smart boxing right there.
12:10That's high level boxing.
12:12Check out this counter right hand.
12:14This is what this stuff sets up.
12:17Counter right hand.
12:19You get your opposition used to you doing certain things
12:21and then you change it up on them.
12:23You make them commit with a jab
12:25and then you're able to counter with shots like that.
12:27And McKinnon Tucker was very happy
12:29with how he got his head off that line
12:31to be able to land that counter right hand
12:33in the third round.
12:35As we go into round four, Tim,
12:37we'll leave you with this enhanced DSBM plus ringside
12:39coverage.
12:41Punches the referee.
12:43And McKinnon Tucker in Jahai's corner
12:46for commentary.
12:52That's good.
12:54You gotta tell me when you're gonna start
12:56spinning on him, champ.
12:58Stay with it.
13:00You can't beat you to that game.
13:02You got an American job.
13:04Greatest in the world.
13:08That's right.
13:10Good.
13:12Now you're talking.
13:15I don't think nobody could out-jab you.
13:17You stay with it.
13:19Good.
13:21Good.
13:23Good, buddy.
13:33I'll count that one.
13:39Twice.
13:41Come on.
13:44I hear you.
13:56I like that.
13:58There you go.
14:02Good job.
14:04Good.
14:10I told you about that super left hook he got.
14:13Good shot.
14:17You spread that one, champ.
14:21Good.
14:23There you go.
14:25There you go.
14:27Now that's gonna change the game, baby.
14:29Now we talking.
14:31Might be again.
14:37Oh!
14:39Eso!
14:42Good.
14:48Now he's throwing wildly.
14:50Again, the body again, champ.
14:52Break him down, baby.
14:54Bend them knees.
14:56Give me something.
14:58Don't give it back.
15:00Double.
15:04Watch your head.
15:06His head is on the line.
15:08I'm just about to tell you.
15:11Slow it down, my boy.
15:13All that she's doing is mimicking.
15:21All right, save some for the next round.
15:23We ain't got to give it to them all.
15:25All right.
15:27Where's the job, though?
15:29There you go.
15:31Oh, that was supposed to be a three.
15:33There you go.
15:35All right.
15:37All right, stay sharp with the defense.
15:39And good job.
15:41Oh!
15:43Eso!
15:45Oh!
15:47What kind of tucker enjoying
15:49what he's seeing so far
15:51from his son, Jahai?
15:53Tim, what'd you take away from that fourth round?
15:55Going back to that jab.
15:57Sometimes you can jab from too close, man.
15:59You gotta understand your distance.
16:01You're jabbing from mid-range like that.
16:03You're throwing a lazy flick jab.
16:05Sooner or later, your opposition's gonna time
16:07that right hand over the top.
16:09Let's see if we see it right here.
16:11Here it comes, right here.
16:13Jab.
16:15Jab, left hook.
16:17Bing, right hand.
16:19Beautiful change-up right there.
16:21He just followed the profile.
16:23Your opponent likes to lay his head on one side.
16:25He understood that.
16:27He came around with that left hook
16:29and moved him towards that right hand.
16:31Boom, caught him with the right hand right after.
16:33In other words, you can't get too confident
16:35and it can't be repetitive.
16:37Exactly, exactly right,
16:39because a smart fighter will figure that out.
16:41All right, we continue
16:43with our enhanced
16:45ESPN Plus ringside coverage.
16:47You'll hear
16:49Makonnen Tucker in Jahai Tucker's corner
16:51with the punches and the referee.
16:53All natural sound.
16:55All right, where's the jab after?
16:57I trust you.
16:59There you go, stay with it.
17:01Stay with it.
17:03Stay with it.
17:05Stay with it.
17:07There you go.
17:09Back downstairs again.
17:13I told you he was going to look short after a while.
17:19Right, step back.
17:21Look for it downstairs, upstairs.
17:23Come on.
17:27You're right, don't step on the line.
17:29There you go.
17:31You're going to look, you turn.
17:33Don't stay on the line.
17:35I like to check.
17:37All right.
17:39That's it.
17:41Yeah, yep, yep.
17:43Yep, that's the discipline.
17:45That's the discipline.
17:47No, not on the line.
17:49Don't point your step on the rope.
17:51Move towards him when he comes.
17:53There you go.
17:55Around.
17:57Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:59Look for the body shots after he finishes punching.
18:01Do it good, bend your knees.
18:07He better left up, he don't like those.
18:09Body and left side too, boy.
18:13Remember that jab, straight to the liver, baby.
18:17Around the corner, he's moving to your right.
18:19He's moving to your right.
18:21That's it.
18:25Don't jump up.
18:27I know, doesn't matter.
18:29Don't jump up.
18:31But I know you're aware.
18:33There you go.
18:41Jab.
18:43A little bit too late, but I still respect it.
18:45Uh-huh.
18:47Uh-huh.
18:49Touch, touch, show, give.
18:51Touch, touch, show, give.
18:55Two.
18:57One there, one there.
19:01Two with the same one.
19:03Watch your hand.
19:05Give me something to round.
19:07There you go.
19:09Up and down.
19:11Up and down.
19:13Cut him off.
19:15Oh, yeah.
19:17Yeah.
19:19To your right.
19:27Come on, boy.
19:29Watch your hand.
19:31Let him get nothing.
19:33Starving, that's right, starving.
19:35He's starving right now.
19:37Let me see a good round.
19:39Uh-huh, now that's it.
19:41Right there.
19:43Why'd you let him off the hook?
19:53Time.
19:55McCunn is saying, why'd you let him off the hook?
19:57It looked like he heard him there.
19:59Yeah, he heard him.
20:01It looked like momentarily he did,
20:03but what I did like in that last round
20:05was the fact that he utilized something
20:07that's underused in boxing.
20:09Check him out.
20:11What did you do, dip under?
20:13Let me just body up.
20:15Let me turn.
20:17Let me get back into the center of the ring.
20:19Let me turn my opposition in the corner.
20:21That's smart stuff right there by Jahai Tucker.
20:23Now, look at the position he's in.
20:25He's able to create punches like this
20:27from odd angles, but look at the slipping
20:29and the rolling in the inside.
20:31This is feeling right here.
20:33He works on this on the pads
20:35with his father day in and day out.
20:37Hand up, rolling, slipping.
20:39This is James Tony's type of stuff right here.
20:41Punching up, little up jab right there.
20:43Slipping and rolling.
20:45Protecting himself.
20:47Getting underneath that one.
20:49Nope, you're not landing nothing.
20:51Here you go. Bam!
20:53Banging him downstairs.
20:55Beautiful work, man.
20:57I enjoyed that.
20:59And a left hook that hurt him late in the round.
21:01We'll continue with our Enhanced ESPN Plus
21:03ringside coverage in the corner
21:05by Jahai Tucker.
21:35I like it.
21:37That's your right.
21:41That's right.
21:43Don't kill him with 18 jabs
21:45without doing nothing, but hey,
21:47I still love it.
21:49All right, that's easy.
21:51That's high.
21:53Give him nothing.
21:59All right, yup.
22:01That's right.
22:03That's right.
22:05And if he throws two, you throw four.
22:07You don't know what they score.
22:09Fence.
22:11Woo!
22:13Stay with it.
22:15Stay with the offset.
22:17Oh, come on.
22:19You got to set it up off the jab.
22:21There you go. Step around.
22:23Don't stay there.
22:25Too far on the ropes, baby.
22:27Come on.
22:29Good. Step to your right.
22:31I told you.
22:33Step over. Woo!
22:35Got to roll it.
22:37Yeah.
22:39A little bit more sharper.
22:41Body. Woo!
22:43Come on, baby.
22:45And rip right there. Good job.
22:49I tell you now, you was right about that.
22:51I know what you're saying.
22:53Don't pull.
22:55Don't pull.
22:57That's right. Don't pull.
23:01That's right.
23:03Walk, walk, walk.
23:05He has nothing.
23:07Right hands for Dave.
23:09Stay with the focus.
23:11All right. There you go.
23:13Sharp.
23:15Good. That's being smart.
23:17Good job.
23:19Step to him.
23:21There you go. Not backing up.
23:23Forward.
23:25Smother all that garbage.
23:27Come on. Hands high.
23:31Oh.
23:33A little bit off. Don't jump up.
23:35Come on.
23:41Position.
23:55Ah!
23:57Ah!
23:59Money!
24:01Money!
24:03McKenna Tucker for his son,
24:05Jahai, saying too close to have your hands down.
24:07But what'd you take away from that
24:09sixth round, Timmy?
24:11Oh, man. What did I see? Let me see.
24:13Let me see. What did I see?
24:15Yeah. You know what? He's crossing his feet.
24:17He gets himself out of position quite often.
24:19You see him crossing his feet right there.
24:21See that back foot going behind?
24:23That's never good. He's off balance.
24:25If right there Fernandez was to rush him,
24:27he would have had an advantage position
24:29right there on him. There he is crossing his feet again.
24:31He got to work on that. Go back.
24:33The front foot got to go first, and then
24:35they got to align together.
24:37And then feint. You know, you don't necessarily
24:39have to throw a punch to back up your opposition.
24:41You can feint him right there. You saw the reach right there.
24:43Now, all you do is
24:45you take a picture and you say, uh, he brought
24:47that right hand forward. Guess what? Left hook is
24:49going to come next after that. I'll do it
24:51a little bit later when he's a little bit more fatigued.
24:53That's next-level stuff.
24:55World Championship stuff right there.
24:57I'm talking about the way
24:59I'm thinking as far as
25:01setting him up later down the road.
25:03But great work right there by the young man.
25:05Six minutes left here in this fight.
25:07We get into round seven with our
25:09ESPN Plus Enhanced
25:11ringside coverage.
25:13All right.
25:23All right. Focus, Lonzo.
25:25More jabs.
25:37All right, Lonzo. Stay sharp.
25:39Good.
25:43All right. Take your time.
25:48Feet moving.
26:00Oh, nice.
26:02Listen to the key, my boy.
26:04That was good. He took something
26:06and he ate it and he chilled. Good job.
26:09Ha-ha.
26:11Ah, missed.
26:13Missed.
26:15Come on now. Good.
26:17Good. Good.
26:19Look for the body after that again, but keep working.
26:28Good work.
26:30Very disciplined.
26:32Off the ropes.
26:34That's right. Hands up.
26:36Hands up.
26:38Don't let it look pretty. Let it be effective.
26:40But I like it.
26:45That's right. Back to the jab.
26:47Stay with it. That's right.
26:49Good. Nice.
26:51A little bit of speed whenever you pivot. Good.
26:55All right. I did say it's your round.
27:03Good.
27:07Smother, smother, smother.
27:09Smother, smother, smother.
27:13That's it, Jack.
27:17Show me something for Brooklyn.
27:19All right?
27:26Don't pull out.
27:37Good. Good.
27:39Good.
27:41All right. Very good.
27:43Remember I tell you about what they count though.
27:45Black one, red one.
27:49There you go.
27:51Don't push with your shoulder, guys.
27:53I like that.
27:55That's called awareness. All right.
27:57All right.
28:07Time.
28:09Seven rounds in the book.
28:11This is a scheduled eight rounder.
28:13Tim, what did you take away from that penultimate round?
28:15Did you see him come out?
28:17Changing.
28:19Changing his rhythm up.
28:21That bouncing right there.
28:23I call that the Sean Porter, man.
28:25Sean Porter used to do this all the time.
28:27Changing the rhythm.
28:29Giving a different look.
28:31He got caught with that right hand bouncing though.
28:33Again, you got to do it at the right range.
28:35He's so creative.
28:37You can't teach this.
28:39You can't teach none of this right here that he's doing.
28:41At all.
28:43To be able to maintain the pace and the output that he's doing
28:45and be able to move as well as he's moving,
28:47he's got to be in supreme condition
28:49to do what he's doing right now.
28:51And standing the entire time
28:53when he comes back to the corner
28:55is Jahai Tucker.
28:57And here we will continue now
28:59to call round eight.
29:01Putting an end to our ESPN Plus
29:03enhanced ringside coverage.
29:05Bernardo Osuna alongside
29:07double hall of famer
29:09Timothy Desert Storm Bradley.
29:11Jahai Tucker taking on
29:13Santiago Fernandez from Argentina.
29:15This is the final round.
29:17Lookit, Hernandez has been laying the right hands.
29:19That's been his money punch right there.
29:21Jahai Tucker, he keeps that lead hand down,
29:23plays with it sometimes, forgets to bring it back up
29:25and that right hand has been sneaking through for him
29:27throughout the course of this match.
29:29That was a left hook
29:31from Fernandez who fainted with the right.
29:35Ooh, big shot right there.
29:39By both. Just exchanging left hooks.
29:41And at this point
29:43I think that it's just Fernandez
29:45saying, I gotta go,
29:47I gotta just sell out here.
29:49Oh yeah, he gotta sell out, but at the same time
29:51he's taking his best punch already.
29:53Think about that. Hernandez is not spooked by the power,
29:55he's not spooked by the apatheticism,
29:57he's like, you know what, I'm just gonna get busy.
29:59That's what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna get busy,
30:01I'm gonna try to punch with you, and punch in between
30:03your shots.
30:09That was a slapping left hook right there from Hernandez.
30:17Hernandez right now moving his head side to side
30:19trying to be elusive.
30:25Trying to create an angle of attack for
30:27Jahai Tucker, and that's a right.
30:29Yeah, he's trying to disguise his offense
30:31by moving his shoulder side to side, you disguise
30:33and you can move your shoulder side to side
30:35and then punch with it
30:37when he decides to.
30:39There's a lot of work by Jahai Tucker.
30:41Yeah, Jahai Tucker, again,
30:43you know, the thing about
30:45him is he
30:47loses concentration.
30:49He has fun in there, and
30:51when you have a fighter that's having fun
30:53nothing will stop him,
30:55but at the same time, man, it's a little bit
30:57too much. I would love if he would just be
30:59dialed in 100%.
31:01I think if he was dialed in, he probably could do
31:03even more damage.
31:05Is his left hand thrown
31:07properly in terms of turning it over?
31:09No, it's, you know, the thing is
31:11his feet and the technique
31:13up top with his punches.
31:15The way he's throwing his punches.
31:17Jahai, he got heavy hands. He does, he has
31:19heavy hands, man. You know, I hear
31:21a lot of people talking about him in the gyms
31:23that he can punch. However,
31:25the technique, if he improves his techniques,
31:27his technique and mechanics
31:29with it, and get his feet right,
31:31stop crossing his feet, because he's punching
31:33from odd angles, but his feet are all out of whack.
31:35You gotta have a solid foundation
31:37when you're throwing power.
31:39So that he's taking some of the
31:41pop off of his own punches is what you're telling me.
31:45No one is supremely
31:47athletic to get away with mistakes. Sooner
31:49or later, he's gonna get up there. You saw that.
31:51Beautiful right hand there from Jahai Tucker.
31:53A straight right.
31:55And Fernandez eats it and keeps coming.
31:59I think that's the best right hand you can ever land
32:01on somebody, right? You would think that they
32:03would, they would go out.
32:05And he walked right into it? Yes.
32:09That's a good close for
32:11the final round for Jahai Tucker.
32:16But he let him off the hook twice.
32:18In the fifth round and
32:20this shot. Look at that
32:22lead hand right there. Set him up with it.
32:24Boom! Beautiful right hand.
32:26Right down the middle.
32:28Catching Fernandez as he's just walking in.
32:30Not protecting himself.
32:32You gotta be careful.
32:34You know, sometimes you can put yourself in hard ways.
32:36Especially when you're trying to get after a fighter.
32:38You're trying to get into the fight. You're trying to finish strong.
32:40You make mistakes. He forgot about defense there.
32:42Walked right into that shot.
32:44Let's take a look at some of the best action
32:46we saw in this 8 rounder. Good start
32:48for Jahai Tucker. Look, I like Jahai, man.
32:50I really do. I think he's extremely creative.
32:52Again, I would love for him to master
32:54the fundamentals. He has to master
32:56the fundamentals before you develop
32:58a style. Because if you don't, you're
33:00gonna end up like, I'm sorry to say it,
33:02Lopez. I've been saying that for a very
33:04long time, that Lopez was eventually gonna
33:06get caught and go get knocked out. I said
33:08the same thing about Navarrete. You have to
33:10have the fundamentals down in order to develop
33:12a style. There's nobody that
33:14looks like Jahai. I get that. Very
33:16athletic. Quick hands. Combinations.
33:18Great timing.
33:20Good counter puncher. You see his
33:22shoulders rolling. He has all the right
33:24ideas, again, and the right tools
33:26to do something in the sport.
33:28But there's nothing really glaring
33:30at me like, man, this is the next
33:32this. This is the next that. I think he
33:34can compete with anybody. Absolutely.
33:36His talent level is there.
33:38I can see it. But there's just something
33:40missing and I don't know what it is right
33:42now, to be honest with you. Something missing.
33:44Alright, well, there's a reason
33:46that Santiago Fernandez has never been
33:48stopped. This is his 11th professional
33:50fight. He's 8-1-1.
33:52He lost to Alexander Gaumont here in Canada
33:54May 25th. Took the undefeated
33:56fight at a distance. He does the same
33:58against Jahai Tucker, going the
34:00entire way. What do the judges say?
34:02Mark Chinook with the decision.
34:04After 8 rounds here
34:06at the Videotron Center, we're going to
34:08the scoring card for the judge's
34:10decision. After 8 rounds
34:12here inside the Videotron Center in Quebec
34:14City, Canada, we go to the judges
34:16score cards for the official decision.
34:18Richard Blouin,
34:20Nicolas Esnault, and
34:22Marie-José Guérin, all score
34:24the bout 80-72.
34:26For your winner by
34:28unanimous decision,
34:30Jahai
34:32Two Tag General
34:34Tucker!
34:36So Jahai Tucker earns
34:38the victory
34:40number 12 in his professional
34:42career.
