Cops revisit Kuantan residence of strangled housewife to gather evidence

Police have returned to the residence of a housewife found dead with strangulation marks in Indera Mahkota, Kuantan on Aug 14.

00:00Police have returned to the residence of a housewife found dead with strangulation marks in Inderamakota on August 14.
00:08Sinchu Daily reported on Sunday that neighbors noticed a police vehicle outside the house around 3.39pm,
00:15speculating that officers were gathering evidence to assist with the ongoing investigation.
00:21Witnesses also reported that no suspects or witnesses appeared to be accompanying the police.
00:28Kwantan District Police Chief ACP Wan Muhammad Zahari Wan Busu previously stated that there were no signs of forced entry into the home.
00:37Additionally, a closed-circuit television camera installed at the property was missing,
00:42and police believe it may have been removed by the suspect.
00:45Several individuals, including the victim's family members and neighbors,
00:50are being questioned to identify the suspect and the motive behind the crime.
00:56The victim's husband, a factory supervisor, along with her father, father-in-law and mother-in-law,
01:03who are both Chinese nationals, have been remanded until August 21.
01:09The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for Murder.
01:14It is reported that only the victim's car keys are missing, while her car and other valuables, including a purse, were left behind.
01:23According to a report from China Press on Friday, funeral arrangements for the deceased are on hold pending her father's release.
01:31Wan Muhammad Zahari also informed the Chinese Daily that although the autopsy has been completed, the full forensic report is still pending.
