00:01:04Dennis Rudman, the world Hollywood Hulk Hogan, will be a team on July 13th at Bash at the Beach Sunday,

00:01:11exclusively on pay-per-view, the big event coming in July.

00:01:15Their opponents yet to be named may be dragging their feet about their opponents.

00:01:20But here tonight, Hollywood Hulk Hogan is with us, Lex Luger is with us, and we have signed for the main event here tonight.

00:01:27The Outsiders, the Outsiders in our main event against Ric Flair and Roddy Roddy Piper are being told now by Craig Leathers that the NWO has arrived.

00:01:40Hey, what's up?

00:01:41Wait a minute, the Macho Man trying to get on the limousine, and Diamond Dallas is not letting him out.

00:01:48He kicked the window in! He kicked the limo in!

00:01:53Oh, and Liz nailed him, and there goes the limousine!

00:01:57She hit him with the door on the shoulder to prevent him from getting to the Macho Man, Randy Savage.

00:02:03And Savage took off like a coward he is!

00:02:07And of course, we are just days away from the Great American Bash, and Savage, page two, no disqualification rules.

00:02:16Ladies and gentlemen, I want to repeat once again, I was interrupted in the midst of that.

00:02:21Tonight, live on this program, as mandated by James J. Dillon,

00:02:27the Outsiders in a tag team non-title match will face Roddy Roddy Piper and the Nature Boy Ric Flair.

00:02:36That is tonight, live here on WCW Monday Night Show, Mike.

00:02:40Well, it's a situation, Tony, where Piper and Flair just cannot wait until Sunday.

00:02:46They see the opportunity tonight to get their hands on the Outsiders, and we will have that also tonight on Nitro.

00:02:52You know, it's also, again, Tony, a historic city for wrestling, Boston,

00:02:57and this is historic tradition, Ric Flair and Piper against two cowardly rats of the New World Order.

00:03:05This is going to be great.

00:03:06It is going to be absolutely awesome. So good to have you with us.

00:03:09And as you said, Mike, the Great American Bash is coming up this coming Sunday, exclusively on pay-per-view.

00:03:18Double main event that night, Savage, Piper 2, as we saw, the animosity that exists as the limousine was making its way in,

00:03:26and then the Outsiders, Ric Flair and Piper for the World Tag Team title.

00:03:30That double main event coming up this Sunday.

00:03:33Well, we kick off Monday Nitro with this six-man tag, and it's the foundation of professional wrestling in Mexico.

00:03:40It's certainly not unusual to see an entire card in Mexico consisting of four or five six-man tag team matches.

00:03:47They stole the show here two weeks ago on Nitro, and tonight they have another chance to shine.

00:03:52Larry, can we go over Lucha Libre rules?

00:03:55I finally figured out the Lucha Libre rules.

00:03:57Go right ahead. Explain them to me.

00:03:59There ain't none.

00:04:02It's as close as I can figure it out.

00:04:04Go ahead, Mike. The rules in the six-man Lucha Libre style match.

00:04:08As we've mentioned in the past, you will notice that the referee is much more lenient in regard to enforcing the tag rules.

00:04:15Most importantly, you can replace your partner without a tag if he goes to the arena floor.

00:04:22Okay, it's the team of the Ultimate Dragon, Super Calo, and Juventud Guerrera against Psychosis, La Parca,

00:04:30and a brand-new man we first time here on Nitro, Mike, Silver King.

00:04:34Silver King is a 12-year veteran from Mexico.

00:04:38Among the many accomplishments in his career, and he's, by the way, the only of the six men not to wear a mask.

00:04:44He'll be easy to identify.

00:04:46The youngest wrestler ever to tour Japan at age 18, and the youngest ever to win a world's championship,

00:04:52also age 18, when he won the world's welterweight title.

00:04:55That is Silver King.

00:04:56Two men in the ring right now, Psychosis and the Ultimate Dragon.

00:04:59And this is a little preview, gentlemen, of the Great American Bash, when these two will go head-to-head.

00:05:04They will go one-on-one.

00:05:05Of course, Psychosis on the tutelage now of Sonny Ono.

00:05:08And, oh!

00:05:09Hurt his knee that time.

00:05:10He was gonna try to do that balancing maneuver up top, but he hurt his knee on the top rope.

00:05:15Psychosis sends him in and misses.

00:05:18He goes on the outside.

00:05:19He missed the entire ring!

00:05:21Sonny Ono recently recruited Psychosis with just one thing in mind, gaining revenge on the Dragon.

00:05:27We remember back at Slamboree, Dragon insisted that Ono stop his illegal outside interference.

00:05:33Sonny Ono insists on doing things his own way.

00:05:38He is in the corner and a block that time.

00:11:34There are two men in the ring, and those two will be the legal man.

00:13:28He has a lot of problems making decisions, it seems, as of late.

00:13:37We're getting ready for a big tour over there.

00:13:40We've signed our names since you owe me a shot and the Giant

00:14:14Well, what happened is J.J. Dillon and the WCW Executive Committee

00:14:19have decided you haven't defended your title since February.

00:14:23So tonight, right here in the Fleet Center,

00:14:33they've decided that you're going to wrestle, and you're wrestling me.

00:15:04as their limousine pulled up at the Fleet Center here in Boston.

00:15:07Here's what happened during the course of that interview.

00:15:11They're scheduled for the Great American Bash this Sunday,

00:15:15but Ric Flair and Roddy Piper, upon hearing that Scott Hall and Kevin Nash

00:15:19are at the Fleet Center, have decided that they can't wait until Sunday

00:15:22in the Great American Bash.

00:15:24They're arriving in the limo backstage.

00:15:26Gentlemen, we understand that we don't have to wait until the bash.

00:15:29Tonight you will face Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.

00:15:32You're talking about a rift between me and Flair.

00:15:35Me and Flair have never been more solid in our entire life.

00:15:38We don't have to wait for no pay-per-view.

00:15:40There's fighting to be done.

00:16:41Well, we've been saying it for months.

00:16:43Hollywood Hogan has been ducking Lex Luger.

00:16:46He won the right with the world's title shot

00:16:48when he won that four corners matchup,

00:16:50and thankfully J.J. Dillon has stepped in and interceded,

00:16:54and tonight Hogan must and will defend the title

00:16:57against the total package.

00:16:59Yes, you can run as long as you want,

00:17:01but you cannot hide forever.

00:17:03All right, the next match here on WCW Monday Nitro

00:17:07as we head straight on into this Sunday's

00:17:10Great American Bash

00:17:11will be the youngster Alex Rank to meet Chris Jericho

00:17:16one-on-one.

00:17:17Talking about attitudes,

00:17:18you know, we were all impressed when this youngster

00:17:20came into WCW about three years ago,

00:17:23but I guess the frustration, Larry,

00:17:25getting the best of him

00:17:26because he has a definite change of attitude

00:17:29over the past couple of weeks.

00:17:30Well, the young and the useless seem to get frustrated

00:17:33when they realize how hard it is

00:17:35to achieve their dream, Tony,

00:17:37and there are times to be nice.

00:17:39On the amateur level,

00:17:40you know, even I've meddled with maturity.

00:17:43I play friends of mine at golf

00:17:45like Mr. Mike from the area.

00:17:47I give the man 20 strokes until he finally won,

00:17:50and then I gave him less

00:17:51because that's the kind of nice guy I am.

00:17:54But when I play him as CGA at the Chicago Classic

00:17:58on the professional level,

00:17:59they're gonna see the wrath of the great Polish shark.

00:18:04That's what the professional difference is,

00:18:06and I think Alex Wright just found out the hard way

00:18:09nice guy finish last in the professional level.

00:18:13Well, we are looking at Chris Jericho,

00:18:15the youngster who has certainly made a push

00:18:17for many major titles recently in Japan.

00:18:20We do understand very successful Mike today,

00:18:23and right now as he's going in with Alex Wright,

00:18:26Chris Jericho has a lot of momentum.

00:18:28Well, the Lionheart, as you mentioned, Tony,

00:18:30just back from a very successful tour of the Orient

00:18:33with New Japan Pro Wrestling,

00:18:34where he was a part of the top of the Super Junior Tournament,

00:18:38that tournament involving wrestlers

00:18:40from all around the world,

00:18:41and Chris Jericho, one of the top stars

00:18:43in that big tournament that just concluded

00:18:45within the past couple of days.

00:18:47You know, it's amazing as time goes by,

00:18:49we've seen it happening here with Alex Wright,

00:18:51you're gonna see it happen with Jericho.

00:18:53Your heart just gets hardened.

00:18:55And you turn into tradition.

00:18:57Guys like Viber and Flair, they start off one way,

00:19:00but as years go by, you get hard like a rock,

00:19:03and you just don't take it anymore.

00:19:05We've seen that change in attitude from Alex Wright,

00:19:08but it hasn't necessarily translated

00:19:10into very many wins lately, Larry.

00:19:12That's because he's still young and dumb.

00:19:14Oh, boy.

00:19:15Good maneuver, almost a version of a missile dropkick

00:19:18using the top turnbuckle to propel the dropkick,

00:19:21but that one sent Alex on the outside with purpose.

00:19:24And Jericho wrestling red hot right now,

00:19:28into the match against Alex Wright.

00:19:31Stiffens him with a shoulder block,

00:19:33and pulls down on the back of the head.

00:19:35On a record-setting night for World Championship Wrestling,

00:19:38the sold-out Fleet Center has set the mark

00:19:40for the largest crowd.

00:19:42Oh, as Alex Wright drops down with that double fist.

00:19:44In the history of live Monday night televised wrestling,

00:19:48it eclipses our own record established

00:19:50earlier this year in Chicago,

00:19:52and that's why WCW is number one.

00:19:55And we will be in Chicago one week from tonight

00:19:59at the United Center,

00:20:01and we look forward to coming back

00:20:03to the home of the Blackpaw and the Bulls,

00:20:06seeing our great friend, General Chris MacArthur,

00:20:09going to Gibson's and being in the great Windy City

00:20:12next Monday night.

00:20:14Talk about not having any wind in him,

00:20:16and that's, look at Jericho, boy, Alex Wright.

00:20:19Talk about getting aggressive now,

00:20:21and look at Hardaway.

00:20:23Now he's on him, but he's wasting some time.

00:21:29and now taking another one of the shortcuts

00:21:31that we've seen in the past few weeks,

00:21:33throttling Jericho with his throat

00:21:35across that steel cable.

00:21:37And now it's toe-to-toe,

00:21:45the Outsiders meet Ric Flair
