00:00And in terms of their transfer business, obviously we've spoken previously saying that possibly
00:06Liverpool fans were getting a bit impatient with no signings made. They were close to
00:11Martin Zuber-Mendy, a big deal there for the 25-year-old. He's been at Real Sociedad his
00:16whole career and he chose to stay there. You can't really moan about that, but from a Liverpool
00:22perspective they could be quite upset that they've maybe missed out on a key player there?
00:26Yes, definitely. I can understand why Zuber-Mendy has stayed because people are saying maybe
00:34he should show a little bit more ambition, but it's a very proud region, the Basque area,
00:41the crowds where they come from. It's a little bit like maybe a boiled Evertonian not leaving
00:49Everton to go. If there's no financial pressure to leave the club, then when you're so ingrained
00:56in the club, that's why you don't want to leave. I almost think it's quite commendable
01:02to be honest with you, in modern football, that he's made that decision. But frustrating
01:06for Liverpool, obviously. They clearly identified Zuber-Mendy as the player who has more control
01:12in the No. 6 area. But will Liverpool look to bolster that position now? Potentially
01:21not because there aren't a lot of targets out there and the ones that Liverpool maybe
01:26would want aren't available. Maybe they're not quite ready yet. People have mentioned
01:32Adam Warne at Crystal Palace, but he only joined them in January. Crystal Palace are
01:39asking £70 million maybe for Mark Gehy. How much would they ask for Adam Warne, who's
01:45got a high ceiling? So, you know, Arne Slott said that Liverpool are working on things
01:53behind the scenes. Sporting Director Richard Hughes is working really hard, but I just
01:57get the impression that Liverpool aren't going to sign anyone for the sake of it. It might
02:03bring a little bit of positivity. I don't want to say positivity as fans. It might perk
02:10them up a little bit because of the obsession with transfers. But you've got to think that
02:14Liverpool last summer, they brought in four players, three of them. Certainly two of them
02:19were still below the peak of years. Graeme Birch and Sir Bosley and even Alexis McAllister
02:26were 24, 25. So, he's still improving as a player. You've got players like Conor Bradley
02:33who are improving and Cody Gappos, who hasn't reached his peak. Darwin Nunes, can you get
02:39the best out of him? So, for me, I can understand why. There's no point in going and spending
02:46money because next summer, Liverpool are going to have a big summer. They've got the three
02:51big hitters out of contract and maybe need a new left-back potentially to come in for
02:59Andy Robertson and have a succession plan there. So, Liverpool will probably look at that. I'm
03:02thinking, do we really need to waste £30-40 million on a player that's not going to improve
03:08us when next year those funds could be vital? But if the right player comes up, then Liverpool
03:16might make the move. Maybe a centre-back or an additional winger, but Liverpool look well
03:23stocked. Luis Diaz, there's been a bit of speculation around him, but Arnold Slott seems
03:27to be a big fan of his and said at his first press conference he can't see him leaving. So,
03:32maybe a centre-back, depending on what happens with Joe Gomez. But it looks like it's going to
03:38be a quiet entrance to the transfer window and a quiet transfer window on the whole for Liverpool.
