United States Vice President Kamala Harris is leading former President Donald Trump as she prepares for her headline moment at the Democratic National Convention, opinion polling shows.
On the eve of the convention in Chicago, Harris holds a lead of between three and six percentage points in the race for the White House, two opinion polls showed on Sunday.
Earlier Harris and her running mate Tim Walz took a road trip to Pennsylvania, in a push to convince undecided voters in the key battleground state.
Pennsylvania has tipped the balance in several elections, often by a tiny margin.

00:00Kamala Harris arrived in Pittsburgh along with the torrential rain, a literal and a
00:07political storm here in Pennsylvania.
00:10Not in this hangar.
00:11They love her here.
00:12It's exciting.
00:13It's exciting.
00:14I feel like the same way I did when Obama was running.
00:18But those buses parked for a reason, a road trip in part of this crucial and divided state
00:23to mobilize voters.
00:25In Pennsylvania, it's get out.
00:27Can we get out all the Democrats?
00:28If you can get the vote out, you can win.
00:31And with no time to waste, after a selfie or six, the VP, her running mate and their
00:36spouses got on board.
00:38This campaign is now hitting the road and it will make a number of stops in Western
00:41Pennsylvania over the coming hours.
00:43Organizers believe that could be a winning strategy by making the candidates look hyper
00:48connected to local voters come the election in November.
00:52First stop, a campaign office in nearby Rochester.
00:55Inside, Team Harris hitting the phones to drum up support.
00:58Oh, you know, this election, it's exciting, it's important for us.
01:05Outside, her supporters on one side of the road, Team Trump on the other.
01:09Could there be a better metaphor for divided America?
01:12What is it about her specifically that gets your vote?
01:16Everything she stands for compared to him, there's nothing from him.
01:21She is what it's all about.
01:26As a Trump supporter, it shows just how divided this state is.
01:30Well, I don't know about that.
01:31I think more of the people are changing their mind because of his character.
01:36I sure hope it stays that way.
01:39This pair have changed their minds.
01:41They went the other way.
01:43Democrats for 60 years, but not anymore.
01:45My mother was a Democrat and she still is.
01:47I always fight with her about it.
01:50So what I mean, because you obviously a strong supporter, right?
01:53You've got you got all the gear on.
01:54What was it that made you go so far from Democrats to being such a strong Trump supporter?
01:59The economy and all these immigrants coming in.
02:01It's illegal.
02:02All these people getting killed and all the fentanyl coming in.
02:06And I mean, our country cannot handle all these people coming in.
02:10As the talk continued, there were cakes for firefighters, puppies to pet, visits to stores,
02:16the day, a photo op, extravaganza and lots of positivity soundbites.
02:22He's bringing out the kindness that ties us together, the decency, the vision of a
02:27better tomorrow.
02:28But it'll take more than words to secure a win here.
02:31More than good vibes.
02:32Expect many more visits from both sides over the next two and a half months.
