00:26Her arrest warrant is out for fugitive preacher Apolo Kibaloy.

00:30And Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump posts a fake image of Taylor Swift endorsing

00:35him.

00:38Sen. Risa Ontiveros was only asking for a brief description of the book on which the

00:42government was being asked to spend 10 million pesos.

00:45But instead of a direct answer, Vice President Sara Duterte accuses Ontiveros of politicizing

00:50the hearing for the proposed 2025 national budget.

00:54This is an example of politicizing the budget hearing through the questions of a senator.

01:06When Ontiveros insisted on her question, Duterte talked about how Ontiveros sought her help

01:10to win votes in Mindanao when she ran for senator in 2016.

01:14To rein in the proceedings, Panel Chief Sen. Grace Poe urged Duterte to answer Ontiveros'

01:19question.

01:20Duterte then said the book's title was self-explanatory.

01:24Titled Isang Kaibigan, the children's book tells the story of an owl who lost his friends

01:28when a storm damaged his home.

01:30The author of the book is Duterte.

01:34Malacanang orders the Department of Foreign Affairs to cancel Alice Guo's passport as

01:39immigration authorities confirm she did leave the Philippines in July.

01:43In a memo on Tuesday, August 20, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin directed the DFA

01:48and the Justice Department to cancel the passports of Guo, her siblings Wesley and Sheila, and

01:52of Pogo officer Catherine Cassandra Ong.

01:55There's been an immigration lockout on Guo since June, even before the Senate ordered

01:59her arrest on July 11.

02:01But on Monday, August 19, Sen. Issa Ontiveros revealed Guo flew to Malaysia on July 18,

02:07then met her father, mother, brother, and Ong in Singapore.

02:10An intelligence source told Rappler Guo arrived in Singapore on July 21 and left for Indonesia

02:16just last Sunday, August 18.

02:20A Pasig City court issues an alias warrant of arrest against fugitive preacher Apollo

02:24Kibuloy in connection with its human trafficking case.

02:27An alias warrant is issued when the original warrant has not been served, usually because

02:32the suspect could not be found.

02:34It allows authorities to renew efforts to apprehend the person, as in the case of Kibuloy

02:38and several of his associates in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, or KOJC Church.

02:43The Pasig court first issued the arrest warrant against Kibuloy and five others in April for

02:47human trafficking, which is a non-bailable offense.

02:50Kibuloy has also been charged with sexual abuse of a minor.

02:54KOJC members have accused the police of using excessive force during simultaneous searches

02:59for Kibuloy in several of his properties in Davao, Samal Island, and Serangani in June.

03:04The police suspect Kibuloy is hiding inside KOJC's 30-hectare compound in Davao City.

03:12Former U.S. President Donald Trump posts a fake social media image of pop superstar

03:16Taylor Swift appearing to endorse him for November's election.

03:20The Republican candidate shared on Truth Social an AI-generated photo of Swift dressed in

03:24the colors of the U.S. flag.

03:26The text on the photo said,

03:28Taylor Swift wants you to vote for Donald Trump.

03:31Trump also posted photos of young women wearing Swifties for Trump shirts and a satirical

03:35article saying Swifties are turning to Trump after the terror group ISIS foiled a Taylor

03:40Swift concert.

03:41Swift has not publicly endorsed a candidate in the 2024 race but supported Democrats in

03:46the past.

03:47She supported Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris in 2020 and criticized Trump in a 2020

03:53documentary.

03:54Several Swift fans and watchdog groups say many of the images Trump posts appear to be

03:58AI-generated deepfakes.
