00:00Chris, Marianne, we're here at Iron Bridge, any particular reason why this morning?
00:08We are today marks the start of our epic around the world drive, and we've been planning for
00:14six months to do this trip, and it actually starts today.
00:19Yeah we're super excited, we're going to be sharing everything on YouTube, we have a channel
00:24called Tread the Globe, and we're going to be driving around the world in a 15 year old
00:30Fiat Ducato van, called Trudy, who has already got 71,500 miles on her, so wish us luck,
00:38and if you want to come along subscribe to our channel. How many countries do you think you'll
00:44visit? So we're planning to do 20 countries, and it's gonna take us 20 months to do this
00:50epic adventure, and we've chosen to do it in 20 months, because with the visas and with the
00:56weather, we've worked out with the planning that's about how long it will take. And I wish you all
01:02the best, and I think you better get on. Thank you very much, see you in two years.
01:07So this shows the route that you'll be traveling does it?
01:16Yeah we'll be going down there, then into Kazakhstan, up over down into Mongolia, and then to Vladivostok, and then we're going to be shipping from South Korea, and then at that point, we'll work out how much money we have, how much time we have, how much visa time, and then we'll either go down to Australia, or we'll go round and come out in Mexico, and whilst the vans being shipped, we'll actually go backpacking in Malaysia and Borneo.
01:46And then we'll catch up with Trudy, probably in San Diego area, and then go down to Baja Peninsula in Mexico, and then we're going to drive up through Canada, Alaska, and then we'll work our way over somewhere to the east coast of either Canada or the States, and ship home to the UK.
02:06Okay, three, two, one, cut! You're on your way! Right, it's officially started, thank you very much, we will see you in two years time!
02:36Honk, honk, honk!
